I have a Dejavibe that I bought new from Fulltone in 1994 which I love. It was the second one sold to the general public. Now also have two mini sized versions like you showed which are great too. With all the "vibe" units available today you might not remember when finding a relatively rare expensive original Univibe was practically the only possibility until Fulltone basically put them back on the map. Now we can get a new version of virtually any vintage pedal ever made along with the modern stuff too.

The Choralflange is my favorite modulation pedal ever, also the source of an interaction that made it so I'll never support Fulltone again. haha. I bought it used, and the flanger portion wasn't working. So, I called Fulltone to see if I could send it to them, on my own dime, and pay them to fix it. I was specifically not asking for warranty work) I essentially got berated by Mike Fuller for even asking, he told me I broke the pedal, and its my fault it's not working so he's not going to fix it. Even after I explained to him the situation, he kept repeating "you broke my pedal, I'm not fixing it for you." It was a sad day actually, this was way before his pedals were in GC, and they were actually pretty hard to find. There wasn't a dealer for one here in Seattle, and I had been looking for months for a Choralflange. A friend of mine had a Deja-Vibe and Mike's pedals were starting to become these legendary pieces of gear to me and my friends. I have never completely turned my back on a company because of a bad experience like this, but this was the OWNER of the company, freaking out on someone who wanted to give him money for the piece of mind that the designer of the pedal would be the person fixing it. Screw that guy, and his company.

I'd say Blur by Blur. When I started playing I unintentionally wrote songs that sounded like early Blur that used the effects used on later Blur records. Though obviously they were no where near as good. I realised later i'm probably more a fan of Graham Coxon than I am Blur.
Anyway I think this probably in my top 3 favourite records of all time. It highlights GC's guitar and defines the mix of the record. I think you'd probably like Blur by Blur, Mr. Scott as its influenced very heavily by the slacker rock bands you frequently mention.

I don't know if that means anything, but it's pretty cool. I'll check out that Norah album, as well. I like when an artist surprises me. In a good way. Of course, Bowie was known for his versatility, but his last album, Blackstar, was a departure into a new sonic palette with a whole different set of musicians: Donny McCaslin's trio. I have the Plimsoul and love it! Based on your suggestion, and how it sounded, I may have to look at the Mas Malo when I get a few extra bucks. He is local for me, so I always try to support local businesses' . Thanks for reviewing and love you channel.

Is there any pedal you don't have 🤔 great episode, I'd love to see one on the old Rocktron pedals, I'm currently collecting them from the 90s as well as the slightly later ones.

Pantera that went from glam/hair rock, to hardcore southern metal. Personally I like the metal way better.

Great vid Josh, my choice of Band change of direction surely has to be Talk Talk. From previous Albums to ‘Spirit of Eden’ is just a wondrous sonic pleasure, give it a listen and immerse yourself . Enjoy.

I love all my Fulltone pedals (Ultimate Octave, big box ‘70 and a black MDV-1 Déjà Vibe), but if I have to choose I’ll go with the Ultimate Octave. Loud, aggressive, but still very musical. Cuts through any mix. Only ever tried the Octafuzz once on another guitarist’s board, and didn’t quite get it to work, but it was definitely my favorite of your favorites. Best transitional album ever: “Spirit of Eden” by Talk Talk. Highly recommended!

I love my fulltone OF1...it makes me wonder about serious questions of this reality...for example...wich fuzz circuit is it? The tycobrahe didnt have a fuzz/octave switch like this one does...when it is in fuzz only, wich fuzz is that? What sort of circuit? Is it fuzz face, Tone bender, superfuzz, roger mayers design?
This has been keeping from getting a good night of sleep for a decade now. This is the 3rd comment i make asking this question. Great video as always. Keep up the good work

Fairly new subscriber to this channel and I love it. Could you if you haven't yet done a run down on Donner pedals? The Berhinger video you did recently is what got me to this channel doing some audio research and would love more lesser known pedals by people that aren't in guitar center

I more or less threw an OCD on the board because I had an 18v supply spot on the brick that I didn't want to waste. This is my only Fulltone, but I probably have 30 OD/distortion pedals, and I was impressed enough to keep it on my board since I bought it. Few pedals have lived on my board that long. Sounds great with a TS style pedal in front.

I've followed Soulwax since the 90's when they were a bluesy alternative rock band. Their move towards electronic in the 2000's, especially reworking their own "Any Minute Now" album, blew my mind. Every one of their albums is brilliant but moving through their catalogue is like switching between radio stations, you wouldn't think they were the same guys. Of special note is the "Belgica" soundtrack, where they perform each song as a different fictional band - there's reggae, punk, synth-pop, indie, turkish pop...They're frikkin' geniuses!

Hey Josh, thanks for one more really cool overview of equipments !! Greetings from Manaus - Brazil
Question for you, and also should be a subject for a next video... record time, like equipments (speakers),rare records based in the 10 rare pedals or something like in this way. I think that should be really helpful and enjoyable for your fans !!
Huge fan from the middle of the jungle !!

Couldn't agree more about the Mas Malo. I walked into a Guitar Center one day about a year ago just killing some time. I saw that pedal in the used case and tried it out not even really thinking about it. I was shocked at how awesome it sounded! It was the best fuzz I ever played. Bought it on the spot. It was my first impulse pedal purchase. I have been playing it ever since and love it!

My favorite Fulltone Pedal from the video was the Deja Vibe and my favorite overall Fulltone is my "project box with lables" Soul Bender (#97)--FANTASTIC!! A cool album different from previous ones by the artist: Revolver by the Beatles.
Thanks for the great videos and terrific pedals. :)

"Kinda want it on my board, don't have enough room". In the words of Chief Brody, "You're gonna need a bigger board". Well, you left off my favorites in the Distortion Pro and the Plimsoul but since you mentioned the Octafuzz, you're forgiven. You got me hooked on the Octafuzz and it was a great purchase. I may be buried with it. We won't mention the OCD since all boards come with them pre installed. Ha, Ministry went from new wave pop to industrial dance to metal. It all worked!

Stone Temple Pilots: Purple was a WAAAYY different concept and sound compared to their debut and to this day remains a vibrant and ground breaking album in alternative rock. My favorite Fulltone pedal is actually my tried and true old Supa trem... hand signed by Mike, so a very early model! Bear in mind, I do own an OCD v4 and '70 BC108 fuzz, and I use them EVERY GIG...but the Supa Trem has this volume boost built in that I use even more often. It simply LIFTS my sound and makes it crystal clear. Having a classic photo cell tremolo is never a bad thing to have as well, but that pedal has become a hardcore foundation of my live tone.

I'm a big Mike Fuller booster/supporter. I bought from the first run of powder blue FULLDRIVEs... very early. I'm mad that I traded it in when I bought the one I still have today, the 10th anniversary Custom Shop model in Ferrari red. There are a lot of the newer bluer ones around, being that I'm making my living in L.A. People hear my red one and kind of get jealous. I love the OCD. When kids (students/clients) get all into high gain on their Line 5 Spiders... I plug an OCD into a standard Fender Tube amp and the kid goes nuts. They get it right away. The OCD helps newbies identify what complexity means in higher gain. I had and sold a "Distortion Pro" and traded it in on a Plimsoul, which always rules... always. I can't imagine living without it. I recorded some psychedelic songs for release in Germany. My big freakout solo was done with an SG into a Vox AC30... but between them, a Clyde Wah in "whacked" mode. I use it a lot. It lives at the studio. Also at the studio that I can borrow anytime, an ULTIMATE OCTAVE fuzz and a DeJaVibe with treadle. But my secret sauce, a pedal I never go without, is called "Fat Boost" and they don't make it anymore. It's just shy of being a treble boost... but damn close. I love how no one gets them... but I always make stuff sound better and people keep wondering how. Mike Fuller is a great player, a great bandleader, a fair and reliable employer and to those who tell me about their actual friendships with Mike he sounds like one of the true and loyal types. He's also opinionated AF and will speechify to sellers and clients and I hope he gave money to the Amp Crazy Jerry Blaha funeral expenses. Jerry taught him a lot at the beginning. Hey! That MAS MALO sounds very KoT/Panthon the way you had it set. yes. Fulltone forever.

My favorite Fulltone pedal is the Supa Trem (ST-1). It's an always-on pedal for me. I turn the mix all the way down and the volume up as a boost that sounds great through either an old fender super or vibrolux at home or even the Boss Katana at my church. Then when I want great sounding trem, I just move the mix up. I also really like the OCD I recently got (in candy-apple red!), which I've been using in conjunction with a Superbolt for overdrive. But my second favorite Fulltone thing is the True Path ABY-ST, which allowed me to do a wet-dry rig. Getting that a few months ago and plugging in to the Super (dry) and Vibrolux (wet) absolutely blew my mind.
