Love it. Everyone kept saying you had to get rug paint but I have paint and wanted to know if I could use just that kind of paint. YAYY!! Thank you for this. GREAT JOB!!! Nancy from Virginia.
Thanks Nancy! The rug I painted isn't actually fibers, it's basically plastic. But I don't think you really need rug paint for a real rug either, but that's just my thought. I hope you found a good solution.
Looks cool, im using a rug to make the floor mats for my car and you gave me an idea 😄👍🏼
Nice! I’m glad this helped in some way.
This is really really nice! Can do these for inside rooms too. I'm going to try it! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽✌🏾
Thanks. You probably can. It might be best in low traffic areas but I've never tried another rug so I'm not sure. I hope yours turns/turned out great.
Great job. Your use of Kilz primer is innovative--no one else is doing it.
Thank you!
Love the final results! Going to try on my faded rug!
Thanks! All the best to you!
Your up-cycles are awesome! Love the way the rug turned out.✨️
Thank you so much!!
Great job 👉Absolutely Beautiful💯
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the video!

Nice colour gradient.
Thank you!!
❤❤🎉🎉great job. I love it
Thank you! 🤗
Amazing! I love the look and you did a great job blending the colors.
Thank you so much!! ☺️
I love the rug!!
Thank you!! 😊
love those colors especially the green and orange
Oh yes. The orange is so vibrant.
It turned out GREAT!!!
Thank you so much!
Great Job, I think a light brown ,tan, or grey like the sofa, would have tied that green and yellow together better. I just love to see people doing things like this for saving money, but more so for creativity.
Thanks Sally! I have since changed the rug. I loved it but it didn’t last. I’ll have to do an update to share that soon. :)
What if you would have used a brush to blend while the paint was still wet?
That might have worked too. I think I was kind of doing that too, as I went though.
White lines between colors or black lines between colors would have made your colors pop!
Has it faded in the sun?
I kept it on my porch. It’s screened in so it doesn’t get direct sun. The update is I don’t use this rug anymore tho. My dog scratched up some areas and I didn’t like how that looked.
Awesome job, but were the fibers crunchy?
Does the rug feel hard or crunchy with the paint on it?
This material was already stiff and a bit rough so with the paint it feels the same to me.
