"You look calm, Mike... Can you give me one of those?" "Doesn't mean I've ever seen anything like it, just learned to stay calm a long time ago" "Vietnam?" Mike simply nodded and lit his partner's cigarette. The drizzle felt pleasant in that warm summer night, their faces illuminated by the floodlights and patrol cars light play. "Are you alright?" "It's nothing, let's get this over with" "It was just the beginning, yet I could almost start matching the pieces, or perhaps the Raccoon City skyline in the distance brought back some memories. Those first weeks, I started noticing a slow and almost imperceptible mood change in the precinct. Stressed faces, silent break rooms, someone watching from the corner of my eye... That kid called me Mike in a different way, he was my only friend in the PD. A good fool, the son I never had... " The recorder stopped with a loud beep in that first floor office of the Phoenix Gazette, tinted orange by the sunset and traced by the shadows of passing cars "I need a cigarette, I'll be back in a minute"
It's writing like that which should be intertwined with the RE remakes and newest Resident Evil games, instead of the absolute dog shit they dish out, and all the fanboys / fangirls just swallow it all without any thought whatsoever. Then their often hard earned money just kickstarts the cogs of rehash once again... *SIGH*. Definitely worth sharing that talent in the right places. Who knows, maybe you'll be writing for the next RE games someday 👍🙂
I don’t know if you’ll ever read this, but I just wanted to comment on this. I play this on loop for hours while working my job, and while writing horror stories, and even when I just want to relax and meditate. This piece of music evokes so many emotions for me, and has aided my creativity in ways I never expected. These effects don’t only happen with this particular song, but with many of them and I just wanted to let you know how immensely grateful I am for your uploads. You have truly changed my life and have provided me so much comfort. Your uploads have become a daily part of my life and I hope you know that your work is worth preserving and being proud of.
Firstly, I try to read all comments, even if sometimes it takes me longer, also because youtube's notification system is not the most reliable. So I would like to apologize. Secondly, I thank you dearly for your comment. Music has always played that exact same role in my life, also long ago when I was far from making my own. It's like a separate plane of existence that grants us an independent energy source. And connects us all. It makes me happy to inject a tiny bit of that energy back to wherever it came from. Your comment is in the same league of transmission, i.e. contributing to that entire dynamic interaction. All the best my friend.
This is absolutely luscious! Cudos to Evan for the picture, he definitely knows what he's doing! I have that same lighter except blue instead of gold. The nice hot mug of coffee is a nice touch and always a welcome sight, especially in a law enforcement type setting like a S.T.A.R.S. desk.
Super atmospheric and moody. This brings about a kind of vision for me, one where you discover that a certain person shares your feelings for them, and find out the reason why is that they were just too afraid to show them out of pure distrust because of their heart being shattered by you in the distant past. And even though you're not the same person who did that way back, they always saw you as the face of absolute betrayal, and nothing you could say or do would ever change that. So that feeling within the person who's heart was damaged always got in the way, until it was too late. They say that time is the healer of everything, but when I think of that quote, it's almost as if that license plate 'OUTATIME' from Back To The Future is burned on my mind's eye...
Man I totally forgot about that license plate.... "out of time" could also be understood like "out of bounds", as if existing beyond and above the concept of time.
@@SurvivalSpheres Out Of Bounds is a very interesting way of putting it bud, considering how whenever those feelings pop up from time to time, I feel as though I'm sort of out of sync with this reality. Like I'd taken the wrong fork in the road a long time ago and since then I've just been wandering quite aimlessly, you know... I have a strong feeling that somewhere out there is another reality, where things have worked out. Lovely thing to think about sometimes 🤔👍

glad for the break with this awesome piece of music, thanks again for a moment of relief. Fighting my inner demons and my condition getting worst but your music is helping my alot.
amazing, since we’re on the hype and anticipation for RE4 remake, i wonder if you going to re-revisits RE4 save theme again but with a different style this time… 😊
Hell yes, so happy to see a new video. So what's your story? What motivated you to make these? Whenever I talk to friends about resident evil and silent Hill, they always talk about the blood and guts and scares. Very few people really appreciate the horrors of loneliness and isolation that the game inspires. That save room at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor of the RPD in RE2 is such a hauntingly peaceful place for me. I am an author and I wish I could sit in there and write for hours and hours while all the horrible things lurked around the station, unaware of my presence...
Exactly, it's all about ambience. Alone and wandering about in a place of decay, following the fading footsteps of life long time gone. You shouldn't be here anymore and there is nothing but dread behind every corner. Until you find that tiny beam of light, a flickering lantern in the dark. A room that seems fragile... but safe, at least for a while.
