Our Newest Lecture Series:
Demonology: Understanding & Winning the Spiritual Battle
The study of the Church’s demonology is a part of basic catechism and Christian instruction. The Scriptures are replete with teaching on the dark powers. Additionally, it is impossible to appreciate the magnitude of the saving deeds of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, without understanding how He, and He alone, has conquered Satan and destroyed his works. Lastly, Christians are called to fight and win in the spiritual war, and for this reason, it is essential that believers understand their enemies and their tactics. Toward this end, Father Josiah presents in these lectures in-depth studies of the Scriptures, Divine Services, and pedagogy of great saints and teachers on the subject of Satan and spiritual battle.
Lecture titles include:
Lecture #1 Jesus and Satan
Lecture #2 Demonology in the Baptismal Rite and the Divine Liturgy
Lecture #3 Gaining Mastery of Satan: The Life of St. Anthony the Great
Lecture #4 How to Win the Spiritual Battle according to St. John of the Ladder
Lecture #5 Engaging the Unseen Warfare: Fr. Lorenzo Scupoli and St. Nicodemos of the Holy Mountain
Lecture #6 C. S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters and Demonic Warfare in the 21st Century Falling West

Father, I enjoy your videos and messages therein. You had not mentioned the Armenians of Artsakh who were forcibly displaced out of their homeland of 2500 years. I am an Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Christian. Our people are heartbroken over the recent events and also face an existential threat to Armenia.
And let's not forget that Ethiopia is facing a civil war.
Of course, the Armenian genocide is continuing in our days without any news channel even mentioning it. I am soo sorry for our brothers in Armenia 😢😢😢😢😢
Ugh & that degenerate Kim Kardashian
Much love from a CATECHUMEN of the antiochian Orthodox church may our churches resolve our differences in our time not from a spirit of ecumenism but a spirit of orthodoxy done in a correct way pray for one another that we all may be accepted after our repose
Why is this never mentioned in the Media? The USA have never helped the Armenians! Are some people just more important than others?✡️👺🕎
Please pray for Lebanon, we are on the edge of war
Pray for those afflicted by the wars and horrors in our age of delusion.
Pray for those conducting the wars and terrors in our age of Illusion. 🙏
Thank you, Father, for your good teachings. I, unfortunately, see a lot of Christians taking hard line sides in these conflicts, accusing each other, and losing sight of what truly we should keep in front of us, our Lord. I too find myself doing this, being manipulated by emotion and the media. Please pray for us sinners, Father. May our Lord have mercy on us all.
Zionists are not Christian
But those same people taking hard lines against each other seem to forget the millions of criminals pouring into our southern border. I guess that's not important since the media ignores it.
I never clicked a video so fast. Edifying as always.
I'm listening to Father's lectures on the parables of Matthew 13 from PNP right now. They are so well done.
With all that is going on, I can only Praise and worship Gods Glory. Hallelujah
Thank you Father i really enjoyed your video today about the lords parables and the kingdom of God its hard to stay focus with all the bad things happening but we must put our trust in the lord Jesus christ Amen 🙏
Very timely message, Glory to God
A wonderfully appropriate lesson for these very troubling times. ✔️
Thank you, Father.
Thank you so much, Father, for this spiritual support, while we struggle with the fear, the pain and the grief about the horrors taking place in the world and around us. You are a blessing to the faithful and I am thankful to be able to listen to your wise and encouraging words. I thank my angel, who had you pop up on my computer screen.
Beautifully said Father, thank you
Bless, Father! I don't disagree with any of your remarks in this video, and I pray for peace in both Ukraine and the Holy Land. But we should also not forget that there has been war going on that affects millions of Orthodox Christians for much longer than the last 18 months, and here I'm talking about the situation in Syria, which has been going on for at least the past 10+ years. Sadly, it seems to have been normalized so that it's hardly even discussed anymore.
It could be said that we North Americans have been born in an unusual and perhaps unnatural time and place. Unnatural in the sense that war is extremely common since the fall. History is a chronology of wars with slight intermissions of peace. The majority of humanity have experienced the terror, horror and the madness of war. Sad that we have not used our time and place for more repentance being set between two non-aggressive countries and an ocean on each side, we have felt presumptuously safe but this will soon end as the world shrinks. Without living in fear or catastrophizing we should prepare ourselves for the coming terror on our own land. It is totally unavoidable.
Have you seen the southern border?
American supremacy, i see 😂 Tell this to the poor indians u got ur lands from. Hope u know that most of the wars in the last century were caused by the USA. Do u feel like going against ur ruling class? Do u feel like saying sorry and rooting for any nation ur country had bombed? America was built on blood and terror, democracy is just a sweet cover of ur bloody crimes. Al mowt ul Amrika
Love your neighbors 🙏🏼 ✝️
Amén ☦️ Come Lord Jesus
So edifying. Thank you Father!

Hey Dustin, I went to revisit the video you did to answer Anthony Rogers but didn’t see it. Did you remove it?
Lord have mercy on me, a Big Sinner. Kyrie Eleison.

Even so, come Lord Jesus!
know God, KNOW peace; no God, NO peace....
Thank you.
Pray for my brother, we have been fighting each other. He is very insecure due to his lifestyle and he projects his insecurities upon me with rage.
He hates me, the Orthodox faith and me being Orthodox, and he hates God himself.
Revelation 2:9-11 KJV
[9] I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them 👉🏻which say they are 👉🏻Jews👈🏻, and 👉🏻are not👈🏻, but 👉🏻are the 👉🏻synagogue of Satan.👈🏻
[10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
[11] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Hi Fr. Thank you for your videos. I am learning more and more about orthodoxy through you. I am not apart of any Orthodox Church yet but I want to be. I just left Protestantism. I would really like to know the Church’s view on Halloween. Should we celebrate it? Is it bad for us to allow our kids to?
I try not to say too much except when I know for sure and that is the Orthodox Church is 100% against celebrating Halloween.
@@orthodox1717 thank you 🙏
@@catherinethompson6531 God bless you and your family.

I'm not an expert, but since when do the Orthodox make the sign of the Cross with the ring finger?
As far as I know, it's the first three fingers together, and the little and ring finger tucked in.
You are correct, that is the case in most circumstances. Priests can also make the sign of the cross with a different hand symbol (It's not just the pinky finger, it's actually a whole hand formation). I don't remember all the details, but the cross he made at the beginning of the video is perfectly legitimate for a priest.
Remember the words of Sts. Païsios and Cosmas. Their prophecies are both coming true, Constantinople will be liberated soon. And soon after that, the end
more specific?
@@mingus444_gaming Sts Païsios and Cosmas both prophesied that Constantinople would be liberated by Russia in a war with Turkey, and that China would meddle in Middle-Eastern affairs, both of which would cause WW3
The Kingdom of Heaven is the presence of Christ indwelling the heart of those who follow Him in obedience. It is God in us and us in God. As Jesus said in John 14:20, At that day you will know that I am in my Father and you in me and I in you. That is our union with God. The world does not know us because it did not know Christ. 1 John 3:1. Very few people love God enough to live in obedience to him and we know we have the love of God dwelling in us if we keep the commands of Christ. The world had rather believe a lie unto their own destruction rather than to live in submission to what is proper and right.
Luke 17:20-21 KJV
[20]....... The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: [21] neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Romans 14:17 KJV
[17] for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Romans 1:25 NASB1995
[25] For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Matthew 7:13-14 NASB1995
[13] “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. [14] For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Who you keep looking at… Father?
Hint:
Ukraine is the promised land. The Kingdom of God on earth, but not available to the world stage yet. It’s the mustard seed and was once oppressed by the “Roman Empire”.
Nearly every parable about the kingdom involves the words harvest, grain, and wheat. Words you associate with Ukraine.
Algorithm boost.
None of my linckes work so I can't restgester.
Who is at the center of these catastrophes? Obvious. Scream it.
Satan.
Both sides see through honor. Speak foolishly at your own peril. There is a time and way to speak. I'm careless enough to know.
The same few people at the heart of spreading degeneracy, porn, LGBT nonsense. Rhymes with pews. Not all of them, but a certain group of them.
Americans did 4 mega stealth attacks on civilians during the Iraq war. We did that comes first!
The Lord Jesus did not bring peace to the world: "I did not come to bring peace but a sword"(...). We are in spiritual war against sin, the world is dead in sin, in spiritual sense, including this laic people who occupy the former promised land. The world needs to repent to have peace with God. There is no chosen people, in the new covenant.
Jesus did not come to make peace to the world. He came to bring the sword.
And yet, it is the Gospel which is the sword that Christ brings.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.
@@keytonbush3925Well said!

@@keytonbush3925 Most say tho, it is funny how people inteprete this so literal and intertextual yet when it comes to other verses many priest and people talk about double message and a great understanding going way back. Meanwhile this verse direct interpreted by another verse then completely abounded even tho we know Our Lord Jesus Christ is not above violence.
❤May Our Lord Jesus Christ Have Mercy Upon Humanity❤ I feel so sad😢😢For all this craziness!!
