We’re Victoria & Craig, a full-time travel couple currently living the RV lifestyle! In 2021, we realized life was too short to wait to chase our dreams, so we purchased a used fifth wheel camper and completely renovated it. After selling our house in Florida, we set off on our journey as full-time RVers. Full time RV living has taken us across the United States, Baja Mexico, and Canada, where we’ve fallen in love with boondocking in stunning locations and living an epic adventure travel lifestyle. In 2023, we upgraded to a brand new Brinkley RV Model Z 3100.
Join us as we explore new destinations and embark on new adventures. From hiking, rock climbing, and paddle boarding to surfing, off-road exploring, and cooking around a campfire, we live our travel couple lifestyle to the fullest! Let us know if you’ve ever had to reseal one of your RV windows!
I love the fact you are not afraid to tackle any job that comes up. You don't find many people willing to try things on their own much anymore. Your patience with this project was exceptional!
Much appreciated!! And now hopefully a few less things will come up to tackle for a little while 😅
Great video
When i resealed my windows..i use byutel tape and did a clear bead of silcon around the window once the window was back in which seems to work great
I have a 1989 Ford E350 class c rv
I think we all become RV mechanics after a while. Nice job on the Winder. 🤪
Haha it’s so true!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good job and thanks for sharing with us. I will start my window investigation by pulling that inner window molding and taking a look.
Keep up the great work! You 2 are awesome. I fix absolutely everything myself also. Wouldn't have it any other way. You can definitely take pride in what you do. Keep it up and have a blast in life.
Agreed! And we will! Thanks for watching!
I to have discovered an rv is never-ending repairs, really enjoy your videos stay safe out there
With the back wall almost falling off And then the window and God only knows what else. You should take that RV back to wherever you found it and demand your money back Or Sue the hell out of them. There is absolutely no excuse for that.
It’s definitely always something!
Great job Craig!!!!
Thank you!
We are new to the channel. You guys do a great job! Very natural and smooth videos. We look forward to seeing more!
Thank you so much!! And thanks for watching!
another fine job. Safe travels.
I haven't had to do any of mine yet but I'm glad I got to watch you do yours for when I do. My a/c seal leaked once and I had to tighten the 4 bolts. I'm installing a solar off grid system right now. 4/0 wire is a bear to work with lol.
Haha we can relate to that! Running those wires were no joke
Nice job!
Pretty ballsy messin with a window!
It turned out easier than expected! (For once 😂)
Just found your channel good luck with your journey.
Thank you so much!
Good video.
Thank you!
Front window came off during a terrible New England winter storm. Put a good bead of Locktite clear construction adhesive on, and it's been great since.
Oh gosh! That must have been quite the storm!
Hey! Wanted to see if you have any updates ? How’s it been holding ? Any leaks ? Anything you would change different ?
On the way to Florida from IN. My slide toper come off and broke the same window you worked on but I didn't have to take it out it was the one that goes up and down 👍👍
Oh gosh! We had a slide topper come off in a wind storm once 😅
It’s good to use a foam gasket on frameless windows. Other type adhesive type gaskets like butyl tape does not release well on frameless windows if they ever need pulled out again making a higher chance of them breaking.
This makes a lot of sense! Glad we went with the foam/sponge type now!
After letting it set up for a day or two, I would have turned a water hose on that sucker to see if leaks. I may follow your lead and give it a go. Local RV place wants $125 per window (regardless of size)! Thx for sharing!
My wife and I are on pins and needles… hehe waiting for the Baja vid! We’re invested now. We are planning to buy a Travel Trailer next year. Not quit so big (we only have a half ton) but somethin small just to camp around with.
I bet y’all will have so much fun! Sometimes I wish we had something a little smaller. The bigger rig is great for full time and extra space but smaller is definitely easier to handle in various places
Why do I have the urge to spray foam around that frame before the backer frame? Seems it would help in extreme temps.
Nice job brother. Keep pushing forward. Did you guys buy that trailer new?
No, it’s a 2014 and we bought it in 2021, so it’s getting on up there in age a little bit
Acetone is the mother derivative 90 % of all solvents just in varying degrees. Do NOT soak your cloth and it will fine as it's evaporation rate is high and leaves less of a film .
thanks for the video. Happy travels. Are your walls Azdel???
We’re not totally sure. Looked them up and that is how our walls look, but I’m not sure if there are multiple brands of them made this way
Hello Victoria and Craig.
My name is Mena, and my husband is Ricardo.
we are new in your channel, and we want to thank you for all your videos.
We are learning a lot with you because we are new in rv life.
We bought a motor home in September 2022. we haven't moved in yet but we are in the process of it.
We have a question?
We love your outdoor chairs, the cream or beije ones?can you please tell us more about where did you bought from it?
Please.
Thanks again.
Thank you so much and I’m glad our videos have been helpful! Our chairs are from Camping World, they are the padded club chairs
Oh my gosh you guys are fixing your trailer more than relaxing and enjoying RV living. I think it might be time to get yourself a new RV.
The relaxing is coming 😅 we just wanted to get alllll the things done before going to Baja! Hopefully we’ll be good for a bit now
Prayers ur way , will be full timing soon, check out our channel when u have time,
I was hoping for a video of rebuilding the window itself.
The foam sealing strips you put on the window, are they two sided adhesive? Also, great video.
The ones we used were only one-sided adhesive. And thank you!!
You should’ve use black butal tape then cap seal the top never mess with it again but you did good
I was going back and forth between the foam and butyl tape, but the foam seemed to be a little more popular for the frameless windows…hopefully it’ll hold! (At least as long as we have this thing lol)
Another vote for the butal tape.
I was back and forth between that and the foam..I think it would have worked well too!
BLACK SEALANT FROM NEW ZEALAND MY SON IN LAW DID THIS, HE PUT HEAPS ON AND IT SQUISHED UP AND THERE WERE NO LIGHT COMING IN SO WE DID GET IT BUT THEY USED DOUBLE SIDED TAPE!?
I know my question relating to the chairs is not in this video but I have to ask.
I'm sorry
Hi guys...not sure how I would have done it...but looks like you did a good job...may have used some type of caulking ...but if that works...all the better...stay safe...J&A
I believe that on the non-frameless windows that’s usually what most people do! Thanks for watching!
CAN I BORROW YOUR HUSBAND TO REMOVE SOME OF MY WINDOWS TO FIX THE LEAK IN THE BEDROOM IN NEW ZEALAND AND THE BEDROOM WINDOWS ARE LEAKING I THINK THEY NEED MORE THAN DOUBLE SIDED TAPE. MY SON IN LAW DID WHAT YOU ARE DOING ON THIS VIDEO AND SAW DAYLIGHT IN THE BIG BEDROOM WINDOW AND WE RESEALED IT WITH BLACK BOAT SEALANT AND ITS WORKED! NOW FOR THE BEDROOM WINDOWS I THINK THEY ARE SOME HOW LEAKING AND WATER IS GETTING IN ON THE CARPET. I HAVE BLOWN THE WEAPHOLES OUT BUT TOO OLD TO GET UP THERE 72 AND A WIDOW WHAT WAS I THINKING???
Nice job! BUT wear rubber gloves when you use acetone!!! Or you will die young from exposure. Thanks for your video!
Great job!! Try Steele Rubber products, they have a variety of seals for the RV
Ooh thanks for the tip!
