great theory, I never thought of this technique. I used to randomly record anything that sounds good when I try to hum. But this technique makes much more sense. A cool idea to implement for the next beat, thanks dude. And yeah, you have pretty cool vocals especially when layered on each other.

I noticed I had improved my singing greatly when I started training my ears and recognizing pitches. Sing simple melodies and play them back on a piano and vice versa. The main thing to focus on when getting better is hitting the pitch. I can’t do fancy vocal runs or tremolo but I can hit the pitch well. I think to what differentiates a good singer is they are singing good melodies. Bad melodic ideas can make a good singer sound mediocre. I learned chords from my music theory course in college. I would look up videos like beginner jazz piano or jazz chord theory. All my chord construction comes from jazz theory. Also learn chord progressions from songs you like. Imitate and iterate
Thanks! I use an audio technica at2020 to record. My mic stand is a neewer mic arm desk mount. My audio interface is a focusrite scarlett solo 3rd gen. My monitors are presonus eris E5s
Release some music with a distribution service. Look for the ones that offer UA-cam Official Artist Channel. For me I used Tunecore but iirc it took some time for mine to show up.
I was able to get my Official Artist Channel through my distributor. If you have music on a topic channel on UA-cam and a normal channel a distributor will help you merge the 2 channels giving you the artist icon
