- This is a video of the game Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars on PC against a Brutal AI opponent. The opponent faction and play style were set to Random. I chose Nod as my faction. This is with the latest game version (1.09). All rules (starting credits) were left to default.
No, I'm not the best skilled player; far from it (I've gotten better since with hotkeys, sorry to those who suffered watching this haha). I mostly wanted to go up against it and try and outdo it in a "normal" fight, which usually proves hopeless, to try and give those struggling with the A.I. some basic ideas to draw from. I do not claim this to be the best/ideal way to play in general or even against a Brutal AI opponent. It is but one way. The important part is, expand to secure resources FAST, try and turtle SLIGHTLY until you can match the A.I. production, and exploit the fact that the A.I. will usually attack from one place only.
Unfortunately, I lost this map forever ago. Here's a download (Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath!) for what is essentially a newer and better version.

Controlling the resources in this game is vital. The moment he managed to fortify his base in the middle, he won.
He "starved" them.
Also the fact that the AI doesn't move from it's spot. It'll build outposts around to new resources, but it'll never move it's main base.

@@puakagrinder2766Steamroller AI is often a good choice because they send a constant stream of units that you are always culling. Other types can spam turrets that build up and take a long time to destroy.

During the first five minutes,rather generating to much units you used turrets because you knew turrets could save you some buck. And then you use the buck and generate crazy amounts of venoms, scorpions and militants. And you finished him in 20 minutes. Exellent gameplay.

Lad ,beating brutal with turrets is the easiest way to go :P ...Not so exellent in my opinion ...Most (even) idiots could do that :P
Lord Vivec Here's a build order (Play Nod): Power plant ,Hand of Nod (Some squads if necessary) ,Sell hand of Nod ,refinery ,War factory (4-6 bikes) ,destroy the enemy's harvesters ,enemy's got no money=GG

It's actually easier going against a group than 1 on 1. In a two way fight, the computer goes right for you. In a large group, you let them wear each other down, then move in for the kill.
As for a vid, do you know any software for recording? I'd put a vid up if I found something decent.
Farky Mcdarky It's not hard to beat 7 brutal AI's in a free for all match when they are not teamed together. But it sounded like you said you could beat 1v7 though.

This explains why the brutal AI always has freakish huge avg income per minute. He kept his forces coming just with two green tiberium deposits while you had 3 and 2 of the blue. Good gameplay btw

I know it's been a while since you posted this, but I too like C&C 3, I'm disappointed that the community for it is not very big now because this was one of the best games I had ever played. I just wish EA would get off their high tight horse and revive this game. I'm planning on posting some old replays from friends I played with like 10 years ago. Those were some epic times. :D
That was impressive the way you turned the battle around but moving the construction yard and building next to the blue tiberian I would never thought of that good game
One day this will be rebooted. In the meantime, we play this one and never speak of 4. IN THE NAME OF KANE.
The thought of a C&C 4 skirmish still makes me ill. Nodes! ... Oh... I think I'm gonna vomit...
And the fact that it took so many play styles out of the game because you have to constantly move around capping...

Dragon Blaze dude back when I was a child my uncle had a modded zero hour that added multiple irl units like the M1 Abrams and like...5 extra generals for each of the 3 factions! I wish I had my old pc back now because I wanna play!!!
As impressive as it looks (and it is), it's actually pretty straightforward. You need to know which direction the AI is coming from and you need to know when they start building units. Until then you build up your economy, get a forward position set up, then start spamming units when they send their first waves. As long as your economy keeps going, you will inevitably win.
The hard part is keeping up with all the micro of training and sending units to the battle faster than the AI can do to you.
The reason it's not as impressive, is because if the AI was smarter, what it could do is flank around the heavily defended position, and take out his entire economy easily. All it would take is maybe 3 or 4 stealth tanks. Sadly the AI is not programmed to be that smart.
I would have probably tried to sneak some attack bikes in early on and harass the enemy harvesters. Since Brutal AI gets double the income, crippling their economy is crucial.
Other than that, sick build order. I like how you packed up your MCV when you had some refineries going. You managed the pushes effectively and then you just went to town. Good work, man!
Randomly rented this game for the 360. First RTS game I ever played and it definitely made me a fan of RTS games. Really gotta play it again one of these days.

Man I remember playing this after my shoulder surgeries. Had 2 the year this came out and I remember just sitting there for hours eating fruit and taking lortabs while playing this lol.. don't know why I remember the fruit part lol.. it was a blast playing this.. got into like top 75 1v1 and top 200 2v2 at my peak.
11yrs on and I'm totes enjoying this video. Reminds me of the May Day map in RA2 with four oil Derrick at each starting position, with 16 for the whole map!

You're good! I wouldnt do this though, i love seeing wars like you had at the middle there. So i balance my allies and the enemies equally so they fight and fight and fight and i watch to see who is that little bit stronger.

This strategy works in about every RTS game. The AI will always send waves and waves and waves of enemies (you realize that you would have been crushed if he sent it all at once) while you are building defenses. Worked in Starcraft, in C&C and in most games :). I remember a level in Homeworld 2 where if he would send the fleet at once, I would have stand virtually no chance, it was at least 1:5.

I like how everyone who plays C&C has a little habit when building: I saw that he always built obelisks of light so the curved side would face the enemy. Or me, who always places my generators in a row next to each other...

Man i'm watching this in 2022, I remember seeing this back in 2013 when I was in elementary school playing Kane's Wrath on a horrible Dell Laptop. I wish CNC was more popular but hey it's still doing well for being such an old game, even in today's time.

I'm Still mad at EA for Closing down the Command and conquer Franchise completely, This game was so fun as an RTS game. Well i might aswell try this Tiberium wars out with a Torrent. I think my C&C Generals Tactics might work out.
If you enjoyed C&C Generals, you should try the "Reloaded" version.. It was hacked and developed by some Russian team, lots of fun!
is it the 2013 version? and does it support english language?
nah its quite old, like 2007 or something.. But if you play C&C Generals, you'd appreciate this version. China is converted to Russia, with t50, t90 tanks, etc. US, GLA gets new units too. The one I downloaded was in Russian so am not sure, but its easy to navigate the menu, ingame language doesn't really matter that much.. its called C&C Reloaded Fire

I won several matches on Hard. It went easy. So i tried out Brutal. I opened a beer, light up a cigar. Everything went fine the first 3 minutes. I tought "i got this". And then, all of sudden it was all over. Armaggedon came into my face, All i could do was sit back and watch my nation went straight into hell. I was amazed. Couldnt possibly start to realize the magnitude of the disaster i just watched. Then i came into youtube, click on this video, saw this guy, and i realized my C&C3 skills suck so much lol. I need to start practicing much more. Ohhh, and that Robben penalty shit on Mexicos game wasnt a penalty. :(
