There is hope that this may be in the QX50/55's future... Its been revealed that the Chinese version of the new QX60 gets the VC-Turbo paired with the 9-spd ZF. I would think they would make the change in the QX50 and QX55 since its THE biggest complaint besides the infotainment. I honestly think that change alone would boost its sales.
sorry Even if this didn't have a POS cvt, the infotainment is lacking, You can get a Lexus RX for this money, And that's slightly a class larger, And even a BMW X3 looks like a steal vs this
The only reason I went and bought a Q50 sedan was because of the engine. You can make 500 wheel hp with very minimal mods. Other than that my car feels outdated on the inside. If they don’t update the car soon I’m not sure what I’ll be driving next.
What was Brian Robinson talking about at 2:30? He said the combination of CVT and the engine brings an "un-Infiniti-like roughness". What sort of "roughness"?
You gotta be crazy to own this thing long term. The motor is a new design. Never done before. And the CVT is horrendous. If this thing lasts 6 years without breaking down, it's a miracle
Infiniti, put the 9spd ZF trans in this and it'll be a winner
Yeah because they look amazing
agreed. CVT sucks

I rather have a CVT than a ZF transmission
Love the vc-turbo in my Altima! 🤷🏻♂️ Cvt simulates an 8spd and does a very good job!
Agree with you on the CVT. NO, THANKS..!!
The brand as a whole was aspirational in the mid-00s. I don’t know what they are now.

This actually has about the same interior space as a RX.
@@dedreandixon4620 Exactly!!
Sounded great until you said CVT! NOPE!
Looks: check
Comfort: check
Badge: check
transmission: never

So yours is 500hp? How fast 0-60 and quarter mile now

I’m actually considering this.. if I decide to replace my Lexus IS250..
I’d take the new GV70 or GLC which are both RWD based and have way nicer interiors and more tech
I'd take a used G-Wagen. A real man's SUV.
yea. i normally dont like german cars but a glc is a Steal
You would think heated seats would be standard on all trim levels
Motor trend picked a Mazda CX 5 signature turbo over this.
You gotta be crazy to own this thing long term.

If this thing lasts 6 years without breaking down, it's a miracle
Plus it’s not built in America
So much for Nissan “supporting” us jobs
Lincoln is shltting on this too
It's cvt transmission? These transmission had nothing but problems. Get rid of it and install the 7 speed automatic.
exactly, I don't understand how they are this stupid, they just really don't care about their customers
@@JDMHaze they refuse to listen. That's why their car sales are very poor.
Can't believe they used the CVT
@@ubiased23 well deserved , It's been the better half of 14 years and they still haven't learned their lesson
Yes, they are moving in that direction. The new Pathfinders, and QX60 have abandoned the CVT.
Hecho en Aguascalientes 🇲🇽
Why CVT? Oh...boy....
Infiniti needs all new vehicles and a wow factor. All they are right now is Nissan+
Why is AWD not Standard on FWD Based Crossovers? What’s the point of ground clearance without the Traction? Infiniti is Losing It!
Oh just get the all new qx60 which is only infiniti that beats Genesis . I know some will disagree with me that's fine
Infiniti is no longer competitive or compelling. Nissan should save the money and put these resources into their main brand.
This design is aging fast. Looks like a 2 Gen old design
It's funny, because every time I see one in person, I think about how sharp and sleek the styling is..
@@nickmotsarsky4382 of doesn't mean bad, just dated
It’s a fancy Nissan Murano 😂😂😂
Not the same platform
Looks like it is 8 years old
FWD really 😔
Ask Scotty kil about Nissan lol
Scotty also thinks that Porsche are bad sports cars and that Acura is better than Mercedes🤦♂️
@@kristians2704 for reliability, Acura is far superior over Mercedes. Porsche is just awesome but not maintenance friendly is his point
😌👍
CVT 💩💩
Pure junk transmission
Add that to the variable compression engine and not on your life. Good luck selling that heap Infiniti…
oh look another boring crossover. next.
Boy those things are fuggly🤢🤮
