That is just absolutely hilarious. On the first run he literally obliterated that Vette... But I think he let out and jabbed on the brakes to keep the vette from wasting his ass on the big end. Props though, that little thing is awesome on the launch.
Cesar Flores If that was a drag race, it doesn't matter if you he caught up eventually. They would have already been at the end of the strip, and the vette would have lost. End of discussion.
1. Family Car 2. Grocery shopping 3. Racing 4. Bitches 5. Now that's real baller wright there lol 6. UnderCover Car................... Cop's Want Fuck With You
When that piece of shit honda pulled up to the line I started crying cause i was laughing that hard and then it took off.... I had no words to explain that
in europe its called honda shuttle and its awsome killing some gangsta ricers whit a family car and looking at their faces when you get their money ... its priceles (sorry for bad english blame my theachers)
this little wagon is the ultimate sleeper i give major props for him hangin with that vette.. so all u honda haters out there dont hate just remember theres no replacement for displacement..
First off, this civic isn't really AWD. The power was only sent to the rear wheels when the front wheels would slip, so it's really part time. And second, all you GM fan boys need to understand you can build a civic like this for far less money than it costs to even buy a vette, let alone upgrade it. Also, a Vette motor won't last you nearly as long as most 4 cylinder Honda motors. Yeah a Vette is fast from the factory, but once mommy and daddy make you take over the car payments for one and you've gotta either upgrade or fix something (trust me, you will), you'll realize how much money you could be saving by driving an import. And I love domestic cars, so that's saying something.
Not necessarily. Nobody really seems to provide a definite answer that everyone can agree on when talking about this civic's "awd" and I definitely don't feel like even getting into that lol
Honestly man. I wouldn't buy an ugly civic like this. Mommy and daddy seriously a C5 only goes for about 15k. Insurance isn't even expensive on them either. And building a vette hard either lol. There's so much aftermarket support for LS1. Who gives a fuck about how Honda makes reliable 4 cylinders. Build power on it. It'll blow up like any other motor. I don't hate Hondas but don't bash vettes. "Trust me"
so what about the money it costs they look way better and its chevy, chevy as far as i know is very reliable plus u gotta say that the vette is much more hevier than any honda honda may be less expensive but believe me when i say this when you are so into ."saving money" with a honda it comes out alot more expensive than u would thnk it would trust me i hav alot of friends with hondas and there always having a problem and my friends dont deny it i mean im not hating i like how hondas are similar to a prius they save gas but in the end id pick a vette no matter what the pay is
some civics arnt really that reliable but some are, corvette last a long time and are fast and easy to work on. it's all about the driver really. it dosent matter and yes I know the vett is faster and cost more and is cooler and chicks dig it. and yes I am a gm/ford fan guy
I like a lot of the "so ugly they're cool" 80s cars but the proportions of those old wagons are just horrible to me. I think your description of that new one is dead on. It's a mini minivan.
you can but it involves taking chuncks out of the block and a special trans adapter. But with what he has done with it is plenty to have fun and surprise the shit outta some people and still be, for the most part, reliable. And i have been looking for one of these myself
Well said man! I love all cars, from civics to you name it. The issue was that every kid has one now, and it gets kinda annoying but i still love civics.
@ZX2Fast I agree, except for the part about springs being cut. It's pretty gay to cut them, but a good name brand suspension with a lowered ride height is a great idea.
@bmxmyant1drug Exactly - the H2B boys are runing mid to low 12s with bolt-ons and the drop in cam guys are running 11s...230whp is gonna move a hatch on slicks lol...built motors (350whp) running low 10s at street weight!!! Gotta love it
Civic was a never a traditional sports car (an FF sports car at best)...but a car that could give cars several times it's "size" a run for their money. A true underdog. It has been considered the modern hot rod for years now, a quality Corvette has lost decades ago. Speaking of lap times, factory CTR lapped Suzuka faster than both an R34 GT-R and a Ferrari 550 Maranello. I never said they were in the same class, yet you continue on making a "David vs Goliath" comparo, now including the WRX.
People have varying definitions but it is typically: Stage 1 tune, stage 2 turboback/intake, stage 3 turbo upgrade + possible built or swapped block with each higher stage including upgrades from the previous.
@1320video - Sweet ride dude. That Wagovan boogied off the line! The Vette obviously had way more power, but that dig is what street light legends are made of. Is it a D16A6? And what turbo are you runnin'?
No, inside the centrifugal pump, theirs an impeller. You can add multiple impellers in the same pump. You stack them in the case of a turbo. Each set of blades that the air passes through represents 1 stage. 2nd Stage is just two fans pumping compressed air through the air intake. Twin turbo is having two turbos that are feeding the same air intake. Turbochargers go as high as Stage 5, although only for racing. You can have multi staged twin turbos as well.
That is how you mod a Honda. Keep sparkly stickers off, don't cut the springs, don't put wings on it that used to be park benches. That is how you do it right there. This is likely the best damn sleeper out there. It looks like a winter beater, not an easy 13 second beast.
HUUUUGE EEEF EMMM EYYEE SEEEEEEEE BROO. Love your technical diagnosis from a chair, watching a video that was filmed from another moving car. Perhaps instead of it just being an intercooler, the corvette got a better launch haha. Also just saying running 9.5:1 compression compared to 8 is not equal to 6 pounds of boost lol
You are Dam right! I love civics and all kinds of cars but there's nothin in the world like a 302 foxbody! My friend has 500hp at the crank in his and it pulls like a demon!
Correct. The AWD system for those wagons require a special transmission that was only made in a D-series flavor. You can put any D-series engine in there but you have to keep your transmission to retain the AWD system. I think you might be able to fab up a custom CRV AWD system with a B-series but tons of work.
As for shutting off the car after you've ran it hard, it doesn't matter as long as it's started again relatively quickly. You're right, without a timer, after running it hard, if you just straight up kill it, the hot oil bakes into the turbo's bearings. This in turn wears out the bearings over time and kills turbos. But you have to remember how hot the oil is, if you kill it for 20 min then start it back up, it won't matter as the oil hasn't cooled yet none-the-less baked into the bearings.
Even on ice and snow, I much prefer a rear wheel drive car or an all wheel drive car, over a front wheel drive car. Despite the lowered traction when starting off, rear wheel drive enables more finite control of the vehicle when in motion.
@hybridrexx just like id tune mine, for being DD.btw i watched your 2 videos when i saw these civic wagon in action...i think you should upload some vid of it!!
Not gonna argue with that. I come from a generation that looked up to Hondas (early to mid '90s, before the "rice" era) and other Japanese manufactures when they were pumping out quality automobiles, and US was slaking just like "Honda and other Japanese manufacturers" are today. I presume you came from a time when gas was cheap and weed was legal...20-30 years later I was lusting over my friends' brother's then new '92 Integra same way you probably did when you saw a '69 Camaro.
@psychoninja911 It says he is on a 57trim...so its probably a T3/4 57 trim turbo which at 9psi isnt making a HUGE amount of power but somewhere in the low 200whp range...like 220 or so maybe less with drive train losses...
That was sweet. Props to both cars , stop hating people , a four cylinder vs a 8 is impressive regardless if it was turbo or not. 8 cylinder has four more cylinders. And on a stock motor to( not built) so just apricoate both cars guys. Thanks for sharing the vid :)
That Honda wagon was ballin
It deserves a k20!
+The AE86 of Mt. Akina the more I read about turbo sohc honda builds the less I want a kseries.
+AE86 of Mt. Akina no it needs a k24
That is just absolutely hilarious. On the first run he literally obliterated that Vette...
But I think he let out and jabbed on the brakes to keep the vette from wasting his ass on the big end. Props though, that little thing is awesome on the launch.
This video is so funny. 88 civic wagon stock d16 motor at only 8 psi shitting on a vette. Lol
+johnny O. I find it awesome! :) Bet it would shit on a Mustang too! :D
+terceldude most likely it would since corvettes are more aggressive than mustangs.
johnny O. Nice! ;)
Sleeper status: God
I'd love to drive this and troll.
Sees Corvette: Bro, wanna race! *acts bad@ss* Sure! * thinks "what a pos" * 3 2 1 GO! WTF CIVICC????
@@Noercars more like Civ-thicc....lol
stocl sohc with a turbo at 9psi probably around 200-225 horsepower.. VS a corvette with probably double that and the honda whoops on it. i love it
yeah buts all about how you shift gears on the start baby
False, its a 99 idiot. It has the ls1 in it pushing 340-50 hp and no the vette smoked it lol
Cesar Flores If that was a drag race, it doesn't matter if you he caught up eventually. They would have already been at the end of the strip, and the vette would have lost. End of discussion.
Uhh no.
this video is amazing!!!!! great launch on the last pull bro

awesome video, good ol' friendly racing, no car bashing......i miss that
Thats a pretty badass old skool wagon, 4real. Keep em comin, 1320.
When that piece of shit honda pulled up to the line I started crying cause i was laughing that hard and then it took off.... I had no words to explain that
only cuz its awd but don't worry the vette had no problem catching up
dramabeatz33 Even though it lost the first race? logic
expo12345 only because its heavily modded so im sure he had fun putting 10 grand in the motor
dramabeatz33 I didn't know it cost 10g's to turbo your car : /
theres no way its only turboed or in that case everyone would have a turbo
Wow....... that was awesome for a mini van / mini car / station wagon ??? . Lol
It's a wagovan!
Kirk Endsley lol

gotta admit.. that little civic wouldnt give up without a fight.. good stuff...
fast as hell but holy fuck I would refuse to be seen driving that ugly as thing.
I would rather have that than a faster corvette!, Imagine beating people with big V8's with that!
ParadiseNMH Fr
Those Civic wagons are still among the ugliest vehicles ever.
Those old ones I must agree. I do not like them either. The new one though, ( both Civic and Accord ) are SEXY AS HELL.
bonamin Honda I disagree, but to each their own.
bonamin Honda they're is no newer civic wagons. I also disagree. Civic wagons are sexy as fuck! IMO of course.

I love my American V8 iron...But that Civic is badass, Thumbs up to your buddy!
@flamingaxe791 You're right, everything I put in the video text was a lie
damn, I love both cars. I have a civic and wish it could keep up with a vette. props to the wagon.
AHAh yess! I love that style civic. Probably wouldn't put a turbo on it but it makes the ultimate sleeper...and I love sleepers
Good shit! Love those old civic wagons!! Hard to find and most parts are discontinued:(
Impressive and funny at the same time!
I have the same HOnda, 1989. Love it
The guy in the civic is launching his civic with precision. Nice sleeper :)
you can but it involves taking chuncks out of the block and a special trans adapter. But with what he has done with it is plenty to have fun and surprise the shit outta some people and still be, for the most part, reliable. And i have been looking for one of these myself
damn look at that torque on that civic
Pretty good sleeper nice vid
my buddy has the same wagon and it's a hell of alot of fun to drive. wish I could find one.
awesome!! could you imagine a random vette drivers reaction if this was at a light or something. fucking great
1988 civic wagon - $500
EBay turbo kit - $600
Pissing off corvette owners - priceless
Perfect sleeper!
i love the 2 step!!
Well said man! I love all cars, from civics to you name it. The issue was that every kid has one now, and it gets kinda annoying but i still love civics.
God damn never thought I'd see the day that a AWD TURBO CIVIC WAGON WOULD CHERP 3rd! And in every run too! Two thumbs up just for that
That civic wagon was my first car. 1984. People called it "The Box".
That Civic's awesome. Hope whoever owns it keeps it sleeper style and not all pimped up.
@ZX2Fast I agree, except for the part about springs being cut. It's pretty gay to cut them, but a good name brand suspension with a lowered ride height is a great idea.
Old vette runs good! That Honda is the ultimate sleeper! Both Awesome!
@bmxmyant1drug Exactly - the H2B boys are runing mid to low 12s with bolt-ons and the drop in cam guys are running 11s...230whp is gonna move a hatch on slicks lol...built motors (350whp) running low 10s at street weight!!! Gotta love it
that civic would be a FUN sleeper/daily driver.

that lil civic is badass. digss of the line for suure. i wanna see that vs a stock evo or sti
@1320video - Sweet ride dude. That Wagovan boogied off the line! The Vette obviously had way more power, but that dig is what street light legends are made of. Is it a D16A6? And what turbo are you runnin'?
There are alot of sleeper Civics but this is the first sleeper Civic wagon I've seen!
Thank you, a constructive and correct comment. Finally.
Thats awesome! For sure a sleeper
props to the civic.. it has some balls for a stock sohc turbo
i owned Nissian Leaf with giant spoiler and 19 inch rim on it. it also have fake turbo sound whistler on the exhaust pipe.
thing left pretty good
Respectable!
Nice race
i agree with mattsponiacta, great sleeper. looks like allot of fun
lol
that is one bad ass sleeper
NICE!!!! love the New TX2k DVD i just bought!!!

It's a stock single cam 1.6l motor. The stock rods in those are only good till 220ish, they can handle more, but it's in the tune.
Thats one of the baddest sleepers ive ever seen
That's part of its appeal, it's what's known as a sleeper
Haha, that looks like a fun little wagon
HUUUUGE EEEF EMMM EYYEE SEEEEEEEE BROO. Love your technical diagnosis from a chair, watching a video that was filmed from another moving car. haha! Don't worry about it man, the only reason I know is I've driven behind one or two before. They're pretty darn rare actually!
Now THAT is a sleeper!
we meet again. i found you on another video yesterday :D
I think thats the first sleeper Civic i've ever seen!
yeah they had those available in AWD , I got the FWD but if I see the AWD transmission on craiglist I'll upgrade it.
sounds like you've been playing some gran turismo!
Good race
You are Dam right! I love civics and all kinds of cars but there's nothin in the world like a 302 foxbody! My friend has 500hp at the crank in his and it pulls like a demon!
Looks a lot like mine. Minus the RT4WD and Turbo lol
I want the swap so bad!

10 years later and the crv awd is the go to lol

After the wheel spin, we find out who has more horsepower, quite obviously.

Civic Wagons are awesome and rare these days
