71 year old Army here. This song is (retro) "funk" as stated in one of his first lines. Note the super heavy bass and drums characteristic of "funk". None of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English and he did not write any of the music. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. This one, however, was filmed in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. His self professed dream of being a "giant pop star" is clearly beginning in a big way! BTW, there are now 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version and Times Square performance. Thank you for a great reaction! 💜

Other first time solo albums by BTS members you can react to this year is V and you can react to Slow Dancing music video. For Jimin, you can react to Like Crazy mv which went to number 1 on USA billboard charts for a mostly Korean lyrics song. JK is the only member with a complete English language music album out of the members. Sad that the last 4 remaining members just announced they will be serving in the military before the end of the year so ARMY will have to wait until 2025 for a BTS reunion 😭
This was filmed in an abandoned power station in Budapest Hungary. There are refrerences to Mj and romeo and juliet . If you notice the door way where the limos enter there is a heart with jks initials and the cutain drop revealing the whole in the wall . To be fair Mj was in one of the first boy bands the jackson 5.
I looked up the power plant after we did our reaction and I really want to visit it now!!! I feel a little dumb for not recognizing the references to Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet right away, cause it's one of my favorite Shakespeare film adaptations.
