My wife is a teacher and I will tell you they are breaking the salary down town from yearly to hourly assuming the work 8 hours a day 5 days a week 52 weeks out of the year. Teacher have a 7 hour workday including a paid lunch and typically only work 35 weeks out of the year plus they are off every major holliday off. In reality that job offer was for $17-20 with benefits, Holliday's off, paid lunches, and part time hours. My wife works a second job to make up the hour difference and pulled in nearly 70,000 last year. Also almost all teaching position have annual raises.
Part of me feels like fruit is individually packaged so you can't check it for bruising and damage first. It's not for staying sanatory because you still need to WASH YOUR FRUIT WHEN YOU BRING IT HOME!

Walmart stocking 2 (previously known as cap 2)(we unload the truck and pick consumables, grocery, snacks, candy, frozen, and dairy) make 13 an hour. And overnight stockers (that being, the people who stock literally everything in the store now) make 14.50. At least, that's how it is where I live. So overnight stockers make 4.50 more than that teaching job.

My wife is a teacher and I will tell you they are breaking the salary down town from yearly to hourly assuming the work 8 hours a day 5 days a week 52 weeks out of the year. Teacher have a 7 hour workday including a paid lunch and typically only work 35 weeks out of the year plus they are off every major holliday off.
In reality that job offer was for $17-20 with benefits, Holliday's off, paid lunches, and part time hours.
My wife works a second job to make up the hour difference and pulled in nearly 70,000 last year.
