  • This one incorporates my Moog synths with the Ovum drone synth and Wingie resonator.
This is with the Moog Matriarch, Mother 32, Subharmonicon and DFAM.
The featured extras are the Roland TR6S providing some CR78 based percussion and the Scaper VST by Sampleson. This is a cool virtual synth that creates slowly evolving ambient scapes based on an audio file you feed it. I fed it some MicroFreak arpeggios from a track I never published and it created this wonderful ambient wash. This is triggered from the Oxi One. The Oxi One is just used to sync everything - no sequencing is involved this time.
The first thing you hear is the TR6S and Mother 32.
Next the DFAM adds a light tippy tappy noise percussion.
The Subharmonicon enters with some slow sweeping drones.
The Matriarch then plays an arpeggio pattern. The pitch cv is then sent onto the Mother 32 which is being triggered by Pam’s New Workout.
You then hear Scaper come in. This is initially triggered from the Oxi but is otherwise just self generating.
The Ovum via Wingie then comes in.
Effects are provided by PolyMoon delay and Specular Tempus reverb and these are on most instruments in varying amounts.
The Mother 32 has a tap delay as an insert directly within the mixer.
The visualiser on the iPad is from Staella.
Note that the little camera I used to film the Moog sound studio rack randomly stopped part way through so it missed the end off. That’s why I faded it out before the end.
Any questions about this or any other setup featured in a video, please comment below. I always try and respond to every comment as soon as I can.
    Thanks for watching!

Excellent. Thanks for the detailed description too 👍🏼 I’m becoming fascinated with drones. Some can be so complex. Been droning a lot lately lol

Thank you! Much appreciated. Yes there is something very appealing about the Ovum’s basic approach. It definitely comes alive with effects.
