Great video! However to get my keys out I had to loosen all the strings quite a bit and as I put it all together again almost all small leafs are pressed agains the A string and it’s completely unplayable. It’s like the whole nyckelharpa got skewed- what do I do? ):
Hmm. The keys and keybox on a nyckleharper looks to be quite involved, a lot of work. Given that I've decided to make one (or two) it's the part that I'm least looking forward to!
@@NyckelharpaUK Lol!! Body and the neck shouldn't be a problem. I've been a pro guitar maker for longer than I care to remember. I also was trained in violin repair. Of course that helps enormously. The keys and keybox is hardly impossible but it does look as though it would require many many hours - unless it's CNC or (somehow) mechanised. I'm old fashioned hand tools though. One step at a time I suppose.
Thank you for posting this video. I have a problem with the gflat on the high c string. so I have to take off more keys. Could You make a second part of this video for the other keys? ☺
I'll try to find time as soon as I can - but there is nothing to be scared of in stripping it down to the second row. The final row is harder to get to. :)
Thank you so much for showing this. Just got a Magusson harpa and one key is sticking a little bit (with my luck in the bottom row off course)
I also do this when cleaning it up so that it really shines
That looks like an Enar? I'm working one for a friend. Thanks for this video!
You're absolutely right. It is an Enar Magnusson. :)
@@NyckelharpaUK I was able to disassemble the nyckelharpa with confidence and fix the sticky keys, thanks to your video!
@@andrewharmon7929 Hurrah!!

By loosening the strings, did the nut move?
It could be that the bridge moved?
The bridge moved and I didn’t even notice, and I thought I looked so thoroughly. Thank you, I managed to fix it easily now! 🙏😊

I'm sure you'll be brilliant!
