Another fabulous teamwork video of classic bikes & cars! Joe senior is the grandmaster of the master craftsman. Absolutely brilliant. Looks like the sort of weather for the world famous Emily's slippers in the workshop!
In two minutes, you summed up every issue I ever had with Amal Concentrics. Blocked pilot ✔️ Leaky bowl face ✔️ knackered car body from over tightening the nuts✔️. Ham like hands and banana fingers. 😢
I remember this BSA from ads in motorcycle magazines when I was in Junior High School. The oil in frame was an improvement, but it still could keep up with the more powerful Japanese two strokes of the time. That said, it's still a lovely thumper.
Great video and loads of content to soak up on a Sunday morning 👍I know what you mean about those Amal carbs, I have a similar problem on my 1965 BSA bantam, thankfully they are a dream to work on.
Biker Dale... hope you're well! Amal mk1's are spot on for me when setup right. Just dropped one with Wren to go on her 60's 500 Bullet based Trials bike
A collexion of random bixe and bloxe😊☺. The explanation of the carbs is useful as we have a Hyundai lawnmower with a carb which is often blocked or not working.
@@TheWurks A Bultaco Sherpa was one- the bike I passed my test on despite the Examiner resembling the actor Allan Cuthbertson ( Colnel Hall in Fawlty Towers) . I also had a Greeves with a Villiers Starmaker engine ( 32T was the engine code I think ) . Husqvarna, and an assortment of small 2 strokes. The BSA with a B50 engine was the one I wanted. Unfortunately Green Laning is almost dead as most of the routes have signs saying No Motorcycles. I cycle now and always try to chat with the brave riders who ignore those signs
There are specific carburettor tailored products hover for me, i give them a dousing with carb cleaner to get the debris off, rinse with hot water. Then use a waterbased general purpose degreaser diluted… two passes at 55degC. Wash thoroughly with clean water and then dry it with an air line.

Very true Terry, the OIF BSA's have a special place in my heart! Although a nice XT500 would be fun!

We’ll see what we can do!
Hey up this video was fun sort of all over the place and nicely different
Thanks John, hope you are well? Thats precisely how it’s been for us recently. Trying not to disguise it ;)

Hey John, thanks again pal!
Well done. My kind of motorcycle as a 68 year old former Green Laner
Hey pal! What bike(s) were you green laning?

Great video, oh dry roads too in the uk, bike sounds ace
Hey Andy, yeah remarkable after being stood for so long.
Usual great video… personally for me I’d rather hear the engine than the music. 👍✅😎❤️
Thanks pal!
Is that the bridge by Kingsbury?
Certainly was!
Anyone, what's a good solution to use in an ultra sonic cleaner for carb bits ?

Many Thanks Joe
More than five mins and no sign of a Beezer
All good things come to those who wait ;)
