Got an RE-4 from my company leadership, had me sign a pg. 11 after a summary court martial. Served two years about after that. Almost 5 total cuz I extended for deployment. Normal EAS honorable discharge, but still an RE-4. Didn’t even understand the implications at the time. Wish I’d have tried to fight it.
You’ll have to review your discharge packet for the details justifying or explaining the type of discharge you received. If you don’t have it, Google “SF 180” to request your discharge packet, discharge documents to include discharge orders & DD 214’s. RE-4 means you’re not allowed back into the branch you were discharged from. Maybe another branch of service will entertain an RE-4 waiver. I know during the height of the afghan/iraq wars, we allowed it from another branch of service depending on the reason discharged but last I checked, US Army doesn’t authorize RE-4 Waivers from any branch of service. Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼
I too was honorably discharged with an re-4 out of the marine corps ..Im currently talking to a recruiter because i want to reenlist into the Army national guard , i dont know if she knows something about how to get me in with an re-4 , she said it is common with marines and she has seen it , and it is possible that i can still reenlist ... so i signed an sf 180 for my medical records , and sent her my dd214s ..i still have a list of things i have to take care of ... ontop of this i have to write up a family care plan because i am a separated parent , i just so happened to get a summons to child support court yesterday, as i am in the process of doing this , but just in case i go to custody court i would have to fill this out so it would not be a fraudulent enlistment... ive watched this video , i hope i never lose this video, because i am using this as something to refrence to in the event i do have to get my re code down to a 3G , i just hope this all works out for me because i myself feel like i maid a huge mistake getting out...
Good luck on your waiver and may the waiver gods forever be in your favor! Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼 And please keep me posted if you’d like! 🙏🏽
