I had an oth....and I want it changed but I'm scared it can't be...I made mistakes but I was a great Marine. I even wrote a letter to stay but was denied...I've been out since April '09 and I know my time is almost up to try and change it ..I need to make sure before it's too late. I'm also from Illinois
Go for it. I’m helping my boyfriend now with his OTH. I’m a vet myself and I say go for it Ik they’ll let you change it. Do your research and be on top of yo stuff. You got this! Everybody makes mistakes it’s just everybody doesn’t get caught.
Hello I was discharged with an OTH in 1993 with 8 months left to finish my 4 years. I never knew that there could be an upgrade to an honorable discharge until now. I've been living with this the whole time. Thank you for the information sir.
@@jameszeyloth6816 I scheduled an appointment with some organization from San Diego twice. They failed to contact me twice. They told me they'd call me and I've twice. I received no phone calls. So I figured they were scammers. Can't trust nobody in this world anymore so I quit getting a hold of them. I could've been registering wrong myself too. Not familiar with today's technology so that's one of the reasons I left it alone as well. If you can get ahold of someone to help you, let me know. Thanks.

I definitely needed to see this video. Would the board see over 14yrs as a requisite towards getting a discharge upgraded? Stated out of trouble, and even went to school. I'd love to go back in and finish the career I always wanted growing up.
I was discharged general under honorable because of mental health , but I got out and got 90% rating now just need my GI bill benefits so I can go to college
Hey thank you so much for your content. I was in the marines and got discharged with general under honorable for failing a urinalysis. I was found with delta 8 in my urine, which i wss not sure how its in my system. I did not accept non judicial punishment and the command did not take it to court martial. But i was still discharged for drug abuse. I heard because delta 8 is federally legally i should have actually been charged with disobeying a lawful order, and that i might have a case with upgrading my discharge. What do you think? Any advice would be appreciated.
Saw you posted this a while back, you have any update on the situation? I have the exact case. Delta 8 and 9 (drug misconduct) general under honorable, is there anyone you know who got back in or could get it upgraded?
My brother too god and General under Honorable RE4 code. Let me know if you were able to change it. I would like to help my brother out so he can get back I.
Sorry buddy, you are a no-go.. maybe a waiver, i heard, but idk if they are doing those for your mos.. im not sure. Im sure if another war pops off, they'll take you with open arms.. I got re-4.. medically, though..
That's the problem of my husband denied her complain her benefit ... because of her discharge. BCD..hope you can help my husband James Steward Gordon .retired US navy we living in Philippines thank you
I was discharged from the air force in June 1985. I received honorable discharge but I don't get any veterans benefits because I was discharged under 2 years requirements
@@jameshughes1385same happened to me . They gave me a ribbon for serving “ during a time of war “ when I enlisted in 2017 but I got out in may 2018. You only have to serve 6 months during times of war to be a vet so I should’ve automatically gotten benefits but instead they refused to lemme sign my DD214 and then booked me a bus ticket like 26 hours instead of a flight . But they tried kicking me off the base a day early and book the bus the the next day . I was like wtf so I hid out in the dorm and got driven to the bus station the next day . Mfs weird bro . All this after they put me thru hell the entire time
This person wants to you call and they will help answer any questions you need. JOKE!! The person that answered was very rude. For someone that has never had to deal with needing help with being discharged or military period, they sure didn’t act like they were willing to help you or talk to you to help you understand. -10/10 i wouldn’t recommend calling them.
Ok so if anyone can help me I signed a contract for eod which is a voluntary mos I failed they said I would be able to get 3 choices of my next mos they now are forcing me to be a 14e which I don’t want so would anyone know if I would get a general discharge or anything about this
