Hi looking to get that "Setzer" kind of break up through my Fender Blues jnr, would you recommend this pedal? As it would also give a "lift"for soloing ... your thoughts please, thanks
Hi Baz, you could certainly achieve those sort of tones with the Trimode in the lower gain setting but to be honest this is quite a feature-rich pedal intended for multi-channel use so may be over complicated for what your looking for. If you already have a Fender Blues Junior you should be able to get a pretty close Brian Setzer tone so you will probably be looking for something more like a clean boost - I have a Blue Junior myself and can highly recommend the Tonebone Elevator as a great boost pedal for this amp and would give you the kind of break-up you are looking for without full-on overdrive/distortion: www.tonebone.com/elevator.php
As you can probably tell by my choice of guitar, I like a high-gain, Marshall-like tone so I would personally choose the Plexitube over the Trimode, although I think the Trimode is more versatile in terms of channels and setting gain levels
...for a price of two bosses. SansAmp do all the same without any tube inside and is durable as a tank. H&K Tubeman is at another side and does even better sound, not trying to be a marshall at minimals but it's own.
ua-cam.com/video/79socbbc21k/v-deo.html - is THAT a high gain sound at it's maximum?! Uh, man... I'd better buy a Blackstar than this pseudo-boutique buzzy stompbox. Thanks for the review. Tubes have no future in modern mobile floorboards.
Beautiful Nuno, pedals have changed lots these days, does this keep up?
Ibanez Tube King is my favorite
Nice tone.. Pedals like this..still good today? Compared with cheap (

True Bypass - what is it used for?
To show how shitty your cables are at length more than 3 meters, I think...
which one do you like the most?
