Games for Your 17-Month Old Toddler to Support Motor Development

Fun, easy games to play at home to help your toddler build strength and develop both fine and gross motor skills.
These games were developed for babies 75 weeks old and up. They are not limited to this specific week. You can keep playing these games over the next several weeks as long as you and your child continue to have fun!
Games to Play:
• Obstacle Courses: Setup a mini-obstacle course in your living room. Stack pillows to crawl over or lay a blanket over a table for your toddler to crawl under. This helps them build strength while developing gross motor skills.
• Early Art: Make sure your toddler is somewhere they can make a mess, then give them crayons or finger paint. Tape down some paper and let them design a masterpiece. This helps them develop fine motor skills while being creative.
