  • Coil sprung Land Rovers with solid axels loose positive caster angle when equipped with suspension lift. Many other rigid axle trucks, such as Toyota Land Cruisers also have this problem.
In this video I install caster correction bushings into the front suspension of the Santana Coiler - my Land Rover Series 3, 300TDI coil conversion project.
I discuss caster angle issues and different methods of changing caster angles. I then press out bushings using a hydraulic press and a SCHLEY treaded tool. I fabricate a fixture for setting the distance between bushing and press new bushings in using my simple fixture.

Did this change your front pinion angle very much? I believe I have the same frame as you and I'm running Discovery 1 axles and springs but my front pinion is angled up quite a bit.

Thanks for the video. I recently purchased a disco 2 and began ordering OME parts. If I purchase castor corrected lower radius arms do I also need castor corrected bushings? Can I just purchase castor corrected bushings?

Arms are better they do same geometry change. This bushing sacrifices some rubber for geometry
