K20 Civic All Motor - PLM Hood Exit Header Dyno Video

- This was my K20 Civic known as "La Mutante" on the KKT Racing Dyno getting tuned by CJ Tuned. Here the car is getting tuned on the PLM Hood Exit Header. Car made 245 WHP. What we learned was that the header was a little bit of overkill for a stock motor and we lost 9whp from a traditional header and full 3 inch exhaust (254 WHP). I wanted the look and the sound of the hood exit header so that to me wasn't a big deal as long as the car drove nice, which it did.
Personal Best on car was 11.8 @ 111 mph (with full exhaust and 254 whp tune)
Car weight: 2233 With me in it
Any questions leave a comment I'll be more than happy to answer them!

sounds very good! I've had my eye on one of these headers for a long time for my built k24. Love the quality content
K24 EJ6 yeah man it’s a good bang for the buck! And thank you! I appreciate it!
2233 lb with you in it?? Thats nice. I have an ek coupe doing the k20/24 and im wondering how to lower it. Havent weighed it but im hoping under 2600
Should be under that bro, you’ll be surprised how light the car is, especially if you start removing parts you don’t need like interior items and what not.
hey bro, do you know if this will fit an rsx type s by any chance? the k20z1
kyoosha well if your asking about the motor, then yes it bolts on to that head. That’s what i was running. But if your asking me if it’ll clear on the Rsx I don’t think so. I don’t think you have enough clearance, but I may be wrong. You can see how tight it is in my car and I had to move the fuse box and battery to fit it.
Flako Pics Gotcha! Yeah i was also thinking that, probably wouldnt clear the rsx chassis at all
Stock tranny 4.3 fd?
Dura mi pana dios t la deje gozar saludos desde 🇵🇷🇵🇷
Dc51790 Rivas gracias brother saludos!
Is your header flush with the hood or does it sink in
Cederick Egana it was sunk in. I was going to have a friend fab an extension but never got around to it. Not sure how true it was, but apparently it’s meant for a K24 which sits higher and would come through the hood. Probably also depends on chassis and mount set up
Ahh thanks for the info man
Needs higher cr pistons
Will make 270
@@jordan.fa5592 maybe on my next build lol
4th to 5th
How are you liking the plm hood exit
Memo Hurtado the plm hood exit worked great and never gave me issues while I had it on the car. I would drive the car an hour plus to work on certain days and put some miles on it and it never gave issues.
Was this the Lean PLM header or Non-Lean, Awesome video by the way
Zepol Films non lean plm and thanks!
Would you daily this?
Hmong Meatball I actually drove the car around for a while with this set up. Even to my job that is an hour drive and I didn’t mind it. Just depends on your noise tolerance lol also weather is the only thing that would stop me from driving it every day
Sounds badass. Nice build
Kraig B thanks man!
how much tq u put down on both setups?
Kri5py_k20 i believe with the exhaust we were at 161 torque and work the hood exit I don’t remember how much torque, but it didn’t feel too different so I would assume it stayed the same
