You guess seem so worried and weird and odd!!! Jesus! Just hang like buddys and talk normally! This podcast seems like your trying WAY TO HARD to make a podcast. The beauty is when a mic is on and your talking in the living room.

SUGGESTION, please: A lot of us are watching this on mobile devices. So, when your editor includes footage of a wave, instead of us seeing you guys sitting there for that 20 seconds or so, how about he makes the footage FULL SCREEN so we can really see the ride?
Would be awesome if you could get Wade Tokoro on. The bit about shaping in this episode was great and I think lots of people would appreciate hearing more about the interaction between pro surfer and pro shaper. I started shaping my own boards a few years ago, and I am enjoying that feedback loop of design/shape/ride repeat.
Kalani’s Wave of the Winter, with the praying hands, is one of the most iconic barrels ever ridden, at Pipe, imo. Dude’s a North Shore legend, and I say that, as someone who thinks the word legend, is beyond overused these days 🙌

This is a great forum to watch for an old school guy like myself because i recognize all the names. I can't imagine having an uncle like Owl chapman, what a hard legend to follow.
Liking the podcast, never went to the north shore during my short surf career(15 years) had no business over there, sure love hearing the stories about you guys lives and Hawaiian culture
I recall a day during an enormous El Niño Hurricane Swell at Newport Point doing it’s best Pipe impersonation. We were on the lifeguard tower filming absolute glory and destruction out front… this steely eyed short kid chatting it up with everyone… introduced himself in that absolute real, sincere and intense Hawaiian way “I’m Kalani Chapman, from Oahu.” He had flown over for the swell and I remember thinking, it wouldn’t be the last time I saw Him in the Surf World… not long after, he was well known as a proper Pipe Hellman! 🤙🏼
This is the shit I always wanted to hear from pros. It's surprisingly rare to get these kind of insights from top pros.
