Great PLANE SPOTTING at Atlanta Airport | 30mins
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 лют 2020
- Atlanta is one of the businest airports in the world and Just Planes returns for another program at this great airport! The filming location are very nicely situated next to the runways which results in great views of the landings and takeoffs.
Delta is withouth a doubt the major airline based at this airport however there are now many International airlines operating as you can see from the photos below.
Last but not lease the amount of cargo traffic is really big here and includes a lot of Boeing 747 freighters.

Can sit here and watch these planes take off and land all day, love it. Very busy airport, been there a few times.
Glad you enjoyed it Shannon!
@@RunwayAction where exactly is the place to watch this close ? I try to find a place near but can't never find it,when I go to Georgia.
@@danyahpereira1006 the renaissance hotel.....balconies overlooking 2 runways
@@edawg9962 thank u,but is there place on the ground where I can watch though, you know, other spots ?
and thanks for your help here. I stayed in a Renaissance over 15 yrs. ago at the airport and had trouble because the planes weren't very close to me watching from the balcony. Is this another Renaissance Hotel in the area you are talking about? I don't see any other R Hotel's with balconies at any other hotel. I love watching the planes. Please would you lmk where is this hotel and are the runways different now? thanks so much!
5:10 that spoolup is unmistakable. MD-80.
Indeed. It is sorely missed.
I live southwest of Atlanta and I stand on my balcony and watch planes land all day with a drink in my hand. They fly right over my apartments probably within 500 feet above, sometimes lower depending on weather. Its always 2 at a time parallel landing.
MrAUFANATIC same for me except it's JFK instead of Atlanta. planes fly in front and behind my house,
And sometimes even on top!
Hi! Tks for the tip. I want to come to Atlanta just to watch planes. I enjoy the taking off mostly! Could you please tell me where I could sit and watch in my car or hotel close by and watch them and get the best view? I would greatly appreciate the help. Tks so much!

10:57. Who would have thought in 1997 when Boeing took over McDonnell Douglas that nearly 25 years later MD-11Fs and MD-95s would still be widely used by flagship carriers in the first world. ❤️ 👍🏼
Yes, it's a miracle that they were in service for as long as they were. They would've been with us for even longer if the pandemic didn't force them to retire their MD-80s and MD-90s prematurely!
@@ChrisZoomER at least they still use the 717

Starting with a 747 is absolutely cool. Lovly spotting man! Luvd it 💕😍
Right from the start I fell in love with Atlas Air, what a beautiful aircraft !! It was a wonderful takeoff, so perfect !! Delta taking off ... wonderful to give goosebumps! A-380 one of my passions !
Absolutely love it...fabulous filming as always Thanku love an God bless x
Thank you very much Wendy!
Thank you for adding this video! Did we all know what was gonna happen a month later? I didn't. I fell in love with this Airport a year ago when i first visited it in April 2019, i stayed at the Renaissance with a runway view. Oh my god that place was busy, i saw a total of 31 planes lined up for takeoff. After April 2019 i visited it 2 more times. Loved the city of Atlanta also. Really hope things get back to normal because i miss it dearly. Thanks again.
HI there. Did you see planes right on the runway closet to the hotel? I think it may be hard to see them close if they are on the opposite side of the airport, at least many, many years ago it seemed so far away that I was able to see the planes. I love watching them take off, and get as close as I can get. Were you close? thanks so much.
I am a 11 year old aviation lover! Awesome video! Nice Qatar 747 cargo!
Great 757 footage. Let’s enjoy them while we can.
Loved watching the Qatar cargo takeoff such a nice livery
I just like these delta go by
Awesome sounds and video!
Great vídeo!
Love it
Is it possible to be indicating Origin and Destination of planes?thanks for sharing
And also what type of plane...
@@gingerhammond6446 there are more than a few A380's in this video, as well as B747's. I am just not able to identify other Airbus and Boeing planes.
@@mylovesongs2429 You can usually Google the tail number i.e. N589NW comes back to Boeing 757
@@icestorm40 good idea! Thanks!
icestorm40 yes planespotters is great for that and the plane’s operational history
Excellent 👍👍
Years ago, I had the pleasure of flying that SkyTeam 763 GRU MCO
3:23 that was actually really smooth for a 744!
21:09 also loved this!
Beautiful A380 Trent engines roar at 15:55.
Great video mate:)
Thanks so much!
It's amazing how the A380 dwarfs every other plane there, even planes like the 777 which still makes midsized jets like the MD-80 look puny such as at 18:18.
best hub best airport go DELTA GREAT work here how did you get so close? Have you seen the airbus 330-900 neo at ATL?
I live in suburban Atlanta, and grew up about 5 miles away from the Atlanta airport...
Hi nice atlas air hahaha god bless us, 🎧
It’s beautiful big engine just roaming the world
a Boeing 747 just stay an elegant Swan.
Sure does! :)
Georgia on my mind...can’t wait to get back!!
I’d love to see this with embedded atc

Hi. Nice video👍 Any recommendations on spotting locations. Headed to ATL soon to film. Thanks

That spoolup is Raya misow don pesawat pedas foour you by the end live kat.
I think the Air Bridge Cargo 747 was hired by Delta. Taking the team to the Azores to repair a 757?
Missing the flight nos, plane identification and destinations
Why does Atlanta only have like 9 international airline carriers compared to Miami, New York, Chicago, etc. where they have like 25
It could speak to the type of immigrant population they have, where businesses may come from, which connecting routes are more convenient. My guess is it is harder to gain solid ground at ATL if you are not a sky team member partnered with Delta, who pretty much run the show at ATL.
Because Delta has control over much of airport operations including boarding gate access. Southwest had to merge with AirTran in order have any access to the airport. But with the opening of the new international terminal in 2012, that allowed foreign carriers such as Turkish and Qatar to start service.

That does makes sense!
BabyBang17datruth
Basically Delta is taking up a lot of space, not leaving enough for other airlines
T Johnson Yes. Given Atlanta’s location and layout of the airport, it is an airline’s dream to have Atlanta as a hub airport. Delta is making sure that they don’t loose their status.
Plane spotting is pretty boring in Atlanta. Mostly just a bunch of Delta planes with a few Southwest throw it in
It IS the busiest airport in the world
What spot is that at atl?
Where do you shoot from? I just moved to Atlanta and would love to plane spot here!
I take pic from the delta domestic economy parking garage up top.

Ugh, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’d *love* a job flying a 747 freighter. Just think about that job and how killer it’d be…
I can’t wait until the airport is that busy again.

I like hearing those turbine sounds at takeoff and landing 🇺🇲 ATL ❤️
