i am impressed. he kept fighting - till his end. i pray for his kids.
Just finished reading both books by the Fitzmaurice's. They're wonderful human beings full of laughter and intelligence.. and heart-breaking tears. I think having five children is wonderful as the love and support they give each other will be priceless.
Wow AMAZING determination! God bless him! Such an inspiration!
This is just beautiful blessful for technology gave him the chance to direct his film and still comunicate afte no longer being able to speak.
Simon you and your family are such an inspiration. Never gave up when most people would have and you succeeded in creating your film regardless of your situation. Surely God has blessed you and your family. There is no doubt in my mind you are the most inspirational person / family that I have ever seen. I cannot wait to watch the film
Blessed with what, als?
God bless this beautiful family ☺
I hate this horrible evil ALS 😭😭😭😭 My lord please cure this disease 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
What a gutsy man! Like Christopher Reeves.
I would not want to be kept alive on life support. I guess this is just my feelings. I praise this man for his strength though.
Kathleen Winser so sad....to me, this disease is s horrible nightmare,,....I pray a cure will come very soon.. My sister had a massive stroke that left her for 12 days in locked-in syndrome, she was completely paralyzed, could not speak at all, she could move nothing but her eyeballs, and she was completely aware, tears would just pour down her face , omg what a nightmare, the dr had no idea if she would come out of it
Monique Levasseur how is she doing today? Sorry to hear about your sister that’s a true shame
when your time comes, seriously no one wants to die.
Actually most of us are unable to afford the care, even with good insurance, and electronic equipment it takes to choose this option when having ALS.
I guess it depends also in the money you have and the support you have, that makes the biggest difference in my opinion... I could live if I could still work and have some possitive effect in the people around me... but if not.... I agree with you....
I just pray none of the children has this
Rip Simon.
ALS is never a happy ending.
Hogsworth Hammer .... Life is never a happy ending ...

I am.sure being a vegetable the last days of your life is like a ride at disneyland
TheIllegalalienfool .... Agreed, that would suck big time, no argument there ...
Heartbreaking
RIP
man every als patient seem to have new borns...and the purpose is beeing still alive for the kids...
Very inspiringxxxx
What an inspiration!!
P.s Is that actress Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter?
I believe that having babies with a sick man is not a good idea , the disease can appear in the DNA
sad for the children
My mom had the last 2 with my father, he was a person with a disease, they were the youngest and they are dead now
Thats true.
Not necessarily. He does not necessarily have the familial form. It could be sporadic and a DNA test would answer this question. If he doesn't have the familial form (only 10% of all ALS) then his children are at no more risk than the average person.
He's from Greystones... that's one town over
Dylan Thomas went gently into the night as
Oet
First of all it's not ending, not yet. Second, I would hardly call it "happy".
people with als. learn language with writing right to left and comunicate with is. reduce brain asymetry working as much as you can
It was foolish to have more kids when you know he’ll be dead in a couple years.
Yes, especially when you take into consideration that his children have an increased chance of getting this horrible disease. May God protect them.
Is it passed down through the genes?
Only knowing Jesus can fulfill you at the deepest level. Repent and believe the gospel 💟
Amen
They r having more babies for the stem cells!!
