I loved Miss Teen Oregon Mindy Duncan!!! Her flaming red hair stood out in the best way possible. She wasn't the typical blonde blue eyed California girl. She was different and redheads everywhere rejoiced!!! Actually the year of 1988 was the year of the redhead as 80's teen queen Tiffany had multiple international hits and a successful world tour. :-)
