I love your work Sina AND I'm incredibly jealous! I am now 68, wanted to be a girl-drummer forever, long before anyone ever was, so I never thought it possible. Keith Moon was the first drummer I wanted to BE, in 1968 with "Happy Jack," then of course everything the Who ever did. Saw Ginger Baker that year too and my mind was further boggled. I air-drummed everywhere, drummed on my little tambourine. Before my mother died at age 93, she said to me out of the blue: "We should have gotten you a drum set." No one thought of such things in the '60's. I love that she said that, in her dementia, with such love. Enjoy who you are, Sina, you're fabulous, girl!!!!! DRUM ON!!!
That was fantastic that your mom said that to you! Never too late if you're physically challenged or not. You didn't mention if you were. I am but I play nevertheless even in pain. It's great physical therapy and more important gives great joy! Speaking from experience I am 62 years old and I am a drummer. I have been drumming since I was 13. Never professionally but has been a great happiness in my life. The older I get the more strange I must appear to others. But I don't let that stop me from enjoying playing my drums!
@@juliel.5731 Wow, Julie...thank you so much for your sweet reply! I am encouraged by your words, by Sina, and by the fact that I do have a new friend who is a drummer and has a set in a barn I could bang around on if I got up the courage! I love that you are a drummer just for yourself! How cool is that?!! I have a lot less strength in my wrists these days after being so strong all my life. Carpal tunnel and two surgeries, plus two injuries on top of that. But I haven't given up. I dance like a top and think of it as drumming with my feet! I'll see what I can do with my friend's offer to let me try it out sometime. Thank you so much...DRUM ON, GIRL!!! You're every bit as cool as Sina is!!! Take good care and be safe.
I've listened to this piece a thousand times. Keith is sitting on your shoulder just smiling. For Moon critics, Townsend says they needed a near a full orchestra to fill the sonic holes left by his absence. He didn't play drums, he played music, the whole song, and just takes you on his journey.
I think this one is my favourite of all your covers. There are so many great ones to choose from, but this one is it for me. It has it all - precision, urgency, controlled choas. You drummed Moon perfectly. You were in the zone. (Just my humble opinion)
When The Who opened their 1989 shows with this suite of music it blew my mind! The drummer for that tour was the great Simon Phillips. You do he and Keith Moon a great honor by paying tribute with your extraordinary playing Sina! Overture/1921/Amazing Journey
I’ve seen this cover countless times I love the tribute to Keith. I just noticed the release date 😂. Brilliant.. didn’t know you yet in ‘21. I’m sure it was a great year … because 3 years later, Sina and her team continue to grow and share beautiful music with us. 😊
Yes, cover the whole album. That would be fun to watch and appreciate. I'm always amazed the way you go beat for beat with these legendary and talented drummers!
This is like watching a dance with the drums. So fun to see with such a gracious drummer girl whos that good! Thank you Sina for all the smiles you give me so many times. ❤️🇺🇸🙏🎃🥁🥁🥁🎃🙏🇺🇸❤️
Beautiful cover : I can see and feel your admiration for Keith Moon. And yes it would be great to hear a cover of the whole album. I wish you a fantastic year and plenty of nice music and beautiful projects.

I am so excited, not only because I love Tommy but the fact that you are introducing a younger generation to the Who. The graphics you included on the video are the best part because It really feels like you want to preserve great music from an era that should not be forgotten. Thank you for helping to preserve history!
I am 50 now and love Who since their appearance on March 28 1981 on German Rockpalast TV. Thank you so much Sina. Awesome Job. No one can or should copy Moonie. You got your own mastering of this art piece. Well done indeed. I like your style better than Zak Starkey, thou he does a wonderful job as well.
Absolutely fantastic drumming, Sina! You’re such a natural, but it’s obvious how hard you’ve worked to make all your drum covers authentic. You really did Keith proud! I was lucky enough to see Keith play live with The Who 3 times: in 1967, 1973 and 1978 (the year he passed away). An incredible experience each time, to be sure. I hope you’re playing live. You’re too good to play alone. All the best to you. Rock on! And, yes, do the whole album, please!
Tommy is one of gratest opera rock ever. Keith performed like a monster. Congratulations, Sina! You're a magical drummer. Kisses from Sao Paulo, Brazil 😘🤘
This is , for me , the best I have ever seen of any drummer , and you always make it look easy. I am to old to have a hero other than Jesus Christ, but you are to me the best drummer in the world. You are my Drum Hero.
Amazing. I close my eyes and I'm right back there sitting in an easy chair with headphones on and listening to Tommy for the first time.....in 1969 at the ripe old age of 6 years old.
Great job drumming on my favorite Who album. Tommy is the first rock opera and a timeless masterpiece. Even my mother in her forties and part of the greatest generation liked Tommy.
To discover you by chance on youtube six months ago and to have enjoyed almost all of your covers since then was the greatest musical experience for me in 2020. But this wonderful excerpt from the rock opera Tommy was the crowning glory for me! I would really appreciate it if you could cover the entire rock opera. I saw the movie Tommy in the late seventies and even the musical Tommy in the nineties in Offenbach, so I would be happy if you could bring your full version of Tommy to us all. Many thanks to your father for uploading the sound so crystal clear that it was a real acoustic delight for me with my new speakers that I bought a few months ago so that I can clearly hear the cymbals of your drums too. I am already looking forward to your cover gems, which you will give us in 2021, yes 21 will gonna be a good year! Please stay healthy, you, your friends and your whole family.
That truly was an Amazing Journey ! And hell yes you should do the whole album! never seen a drummer this side of Zack Starkey embody the spirit of Moon quite like Sina does, and making it harder for herself using trad grip too ! Here's to more great videos in 2021. Happy New year all !
As this next year begins, I would just like to thank you for allowing me to follow your journey over these past 5 or 6 years. From a young girl with natural talent, to an accomplished musician, it's been wonderful to watch you grow. The joy you have in playing lifts me up just watching you. May you be an inspiration to other young people to follow their hearts and find that same joy in the music.
I need to watch this film again. I saw it when I was far too young to know what anything was supposed to mean. It was all just about the hit songs I'd known from the radio. Thanks for the nostalgia journey.
I feel so comforted when I see young girls like you who know and appreciate these kinds of evergreen masterpieces. I have always personally felt obsessed by the beauty of Tommy. As a beginner drummer, I always struggle to play Keith's tracks, but I could learn a lot from your videos. Thanks for giving me an emotional gift.
Honestly? This is amazing. Tommy is my favourite album of all time and I didn't think anyone could play like Keith but you nailed it. Very, VERY, impressive.
I love how Sina uses the classic grip for the drumstick in her left hand for Keith Moon. And she picked my favorite string of songs on Tommy to highlight some of Keith's best drumming. I first spotted Sina in UA-cam short and shed a quick tear at her talent and dedication to the greatest era of popular music. Now I'm stuck in her channel and can't seem to leave. So many great performances!!
We never got videos of Moons detailed work behind the kit until now - I have been making appointments to listen to the first 3 songs on this album since I was 15. SINA is right - this is on another dimension & Moon is still the best
Sina another brilliant rendition. I for one look forward to following you in the next part of your journey. Where ever it takes you I'm sure you will be a success. Just do what makes you feel joy
Sina is fascinating: attentive to her playing, trim, very much herself. There is an unbridgeable gap between over-60 male commentators (myself included): a longing, an admiration from afar on their part, while Sina just goes on totally immersed and enjoying the music. You can't help admiring the relaxed and absorbed artistry, the fascinating and varied rhythmic patterns, totally under control, and the sprezzatura with which she performs, controlled, effortlessly fluid and without the wild movements of the typical rock drummer; creative and and able to smile at the happy moment of artistic creativity. The grace of the accomplished artist.
Obviously I'm not Sina, but thanks for a unabridged critique and Honesty! Chivalry May be forgotten, you my friend 👍🏻 give me faith! Everyone doesn't have to be a jealous A-hole! Thanx man, 60 on Halloween ✌️
The great thing about all these covers Sina, for us older ones, is SEEING the music we love being played! It really makes you appreciate how good the music was (and still is). Good video of live performances from back then is pretty rare (and also only available pretty recently), so to see this great music being played is fantastic. I've listened to Tommy for over 50 years and it was Keith Moon who inspired me as a 10 year old to play drums. Watching your tribute to the great man is brilliant - you capture his energy and vibrancy perfectly, particularly on Amazing Journey. It's The Who!! Turn up the volume as loud as you can and enjoy! :-)
When I was playing as a young kid in the 70's the only way to learn or understand a players licks was to wear out an LP playing it over and over. Now anyone wanting to see how it was played simply has to watch. For me what makes you Sina better than most is it's not just a simulation, it often FEELs like it was originally done. You possess the original personality and emotions meant to be projected. Your depth of understanding is what I love most. Thanks Girl!
Thank you. Starting out as a young drummer in the UK in the 60s there were two drummers who inspired me - Baker & Moon. Moon has always had his critics - Bill Bruford had written on his shoes "I hate Keith Moon" and claimed the reason for it was that "He is not a drummer, he just hits things". I love Bruford's playing but I can see why he felt that way. To him Moon must have seemed to have leaked in from another dimension. What he didn't seem to grasp was that Moon was perfect for the music he was given. If someone had swapped Bruford for Moon into the Who it would never have worked and Moon in Yes or King Crimson would have been equally awful. Your cover will do a huge amount to show just how good Moon was at his peak and just how perfect he was for the Who. Thanks again. Best wishes for 2021 - and, of course, we want you to do the whole album.
Please cover the whole album! No one plays Keith like you-not even Zak Starkey (whom I greatly admire and respect). You capture his soul and spirit like no one else. Please cover as much as you can! It is such a thrill to hear his artistic spirit channeled through you. Brings tears to my eyes. NO ONE EVER HAS PLAYED DRUMS LIKE KEITH-EVER! You capture his spirit... Thank you!
Great job and what memories this brings back. I had Tommy on vinyl way back "in the day." Tommy and Jesus Christ, Superstar were the two big "rock operas" and they hit about the same time (1969/1970). They were both very influential in my appreciation of music. Thanks for sharing your talent and your appreciation of these "classics."
11 minutes of buzz. Every day on December 31, I want Sina to delight us with such masterpieces! Happy New Year, Sina, as well as your sister Milena and your entire team. New achievements in 2021, many events for joy and strong Siberian health! With love from Russia!
It was so fun to watch her fall into the groove again and again. I know there must have been hundreds of hours of prep to get this so right and have it flow so naturally.
Dear Sina, I have to make a second comment. 2020 wasn‘t so bad ... I discovered your channel this year and I had so much pleasure with your music and your loveliness. Thank you very much for your music and all of you are doing for your followers, channel members and patrons. Big thanks also to Mike, Milena and your Mom which make this weekly events possible. Best wishes for 2021, have a successful journey in your future !!!
Well said, Mike and Milena often get mentions but I don’t think Mrs D. gets enough thanks for her part in this magic!❤️ No, I don’t know her but would love to shake her hand( or hug her) someday for all that she does.👍Fan From Florida 🌴
I thing that traditional really agrees with you. It has opened your playing up and given you a smoother, more swinging feel. My respect to you for putting in the hard work. Great job!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINA! I have no idea which video to send this wish to you under but this one seems appropriate. The WHO were a huge part of my youth as a child of the sixties in the USA... now just an older rocker (guitar) who has completely enjoyed being introduced to the drums thru your talents. Your evolution the last two years or so of covers is simply amazing.. such poise... so much style... never change for anybody you are wonderful... you have so many out here rooting for you to succeed...waiting for Chi Might IV which I assume will be a while as your studies continue.. wish I spoke German so I could send you a traditional German greeting but in good old American English from sunny Florida... HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINA !
2 major components of all of Miss Doering's drum covers.....intensity and integrity.....this cover is all the proof you need.....i don't know about any one else but this drummer always, always makes my day.....
"Twenty one is gonna be a good year"; what a great way to make 51 year old lyrics relevant for the present. We're all hoping 2021 will be a good year! You've helped bring back some great memories, long rides down country roads in my 68 Chevy with my 3 best friends. Our go to music was always Tommy, Quadrophenia, Who's Next plus Demons and Wizards (Uriah Heep). To do Tommy in it's entirety? ABSOLUTELY, it would be brilliant! Thanks for your wonderful music.
"I had no reason to be over optimistic but somehow when you smile I can brave bad weather" has to be one of the loveliest lyrics put down on paper and vinyl
My mom worked at United Artists in the recording studio in the late 60's and early 70's... She had all the records for everyone... Including Tommy... I grew up listening to this album... This particular set you chose is my absolute favorite on the 2 album set... You ROCK.
i think the British have an even better term than "awesome". This is SPLENDID! In fact, it's POSITIVELY SPLENDID! What a great way to end a bad year and set the tone for a better one. I really enjoy your thoughts and reflections about the artists and music you cover. They add depth and context. Do we want you to cover the rest of the album? I think you should follow your muse, Sina. You clearly have an inspiring one. Continue following it, and you can't go wrong.
Complex, powerful. unpredictable and played to perfection. Thank you, Sina. I don’t know if Keith pioneered using the drums to enhance and support the melody but I am sure he taught them all how it was done. Rock music grew immensely from that point on. My only hope is that you can get some sense of how much it means to us how hard you work to keep the golden era of rock alive. As long as people like you bridge a generation or two, it will live on by its own merits. Tell your dad I said, “Thanks” for the support in helping you do what you do. Gary
Dear Little Lady! Since 1963 I have been listening and collecting rock music. In my opinion, now in the world there is no master of playing drums equal to You, but I am sure that there is simply no limit to your perfection. Take care of yourself and your family and move on!
When you're at the end of a set, your fingers are numb, your heart is racing, your gasping for breath, you KNOW you're just created a wonderful sound. Great going Sina.
What a wonderful memory refreshment, I had forgotten about these songs unlistened for decades and what a fantastic way to start 21. Thank you Sina, that was perfect imo.
My deepest thanks to you Sina and to all of Team Sina for making 2020 far more bearable than it otherwise would have been. After listening/watching, reading the text of this fabulous last video for 2020, I have to say that you and the video will stand the test of time, as well. Cover the whole album? Follow your heart, play, create what you like, that’s what I would love to hear. All the best for now and always to the entire Doering family. And, yes, all the best to you, all of Sina’s subs, patrons, and supporters of any kind.
O MY GOD! An Amazing Journey! I am sure your destination will be just as amazing! You matched Keith beat for beat, note for note. I bow to your genius.
Well done, Sina. Thanks for your written comments in this UA-cam video, which provide a window on how you see both the music... and of course the drumming style you are exploring.
Just Great! Overwhelming! Now, may I pass you a towel 😉 One of my all-time favourite Albums - what a question 'would you like me to cover the whole Album?' OF COURSE YES PLEASE THANK YOU. Something to look forward to - so I think 21 is going to be a good year! Wish you and your whole family a Happy New Year 2021, stay safe and sound and healthy and keep presenting us with your wonderful drumming!
Sina's timing, touch and tribute to Tommy and The Who are second to no one! This was a controlled, yet passionate performance in honoring Keith's touch on the drums. The different tempos were covered so smoothly and powerfully. The answer to your question Sina is an Emphatic YES! We would be honored to watch your performance on the Entire Album!!! Happy New Year Sina and family and all fans of Sina!!

Tommy is a top 5 all-time album for me. And to see you do Overture all the way thru is amazing. Haven't listened to the whole album beginning to end in forever. Definitely gonna put that on a to do list soon.
Yes yes yes please do a cover of the album. I believe you do a great job with the covers of the Who Keith is proudly smiling down on you as you play and drum to those songs
Absolutely YES! Please cover the whole album. This was thrilling that you covered so much more ground than just the brief song in the title (I missed the indication that it would be an extended Medley - so a very happy surprise). Tommy was the most exciting music in my life a mere 52 or 53 years ago when it was released and dazzled my G-G-G-G-G-G- Generation. No doubt the most wildly creative and diverse period in the history of popular music. The summer after its release was the summer of Woodstock - I grew up in New York, USA, not too far from Yasgur's Farm. We were young and absorbing everything with our hearts and minds wide open as you apparently do as well Sina. Unfortunately though, even though I lived for the music, I was a failed musician - a guitar player who played as if I was deaf dumb and blind decades before there was an internet to give you the chords and video instruction. Was no good at Pinball either! Thank you...loving your videos and the work of your collaborators.

The grace of the accomplished artist.
dang, then I guess she is consider a master musician?!
Grace indeed
Right on!
Well said
Obviously I'm not Sina, but thanks for a unabridged critique and Honesty! Chivalry May be forgotten, you my friend 👍🏻 give me faith! Everyone doesn't have to be a jealous A-hole! Thanx man, 60 on Halloween ✌️
Sins has shown me that drumming is more than I ever imagined musically.
Thanks Girl!
who else would or even could do a good job of Keith using traditional grip?. one more bravo among many thank you again
OMG ! This is so freaking appropriate it is unbelievable. Kudos and drumming spot on !
Hey Chris
👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Moon hits, Bruford MISSES!
Beautifully done. Probably my all time favourite album. From an old guy in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada lol.
Thank you!
Princess of Percussion nailed another of my memories from long ago! Such an old world heart! Thank you
One of the most kick ass albums ever. With full range speakers and ample power this is beyond an amazing audio experience.
This one and Motorhead's "The ace of spades" are my favourites. Watching you play that kind of stuff is hipnotic and addictive.
Simply PHENOMENAL!! Great way to start the year Sina. Thank you for all that you do. We love you.
I love all your Keith Moon covers that you excel at.Really great to hear and fun to watch.
Discovering Sina's channel was definitely one of the bright points of 2020
@@nancyslider645: I'm all in your opinion !! Best wishes for 2021 !!
A lot of emotion shown there and it made me feel emotion. Great songs do that. Great musicians too. Thank you and Happy 2021.
In 1975 my husband & I went to see the movie premiere in Binghamton, NY. It was thrilling and amazing, something I will never forget. 👍👩🦳
2 major components of all of Miss Doering's drum covers.....intensity and integrity.....this cover is all the proof you need.....i don't know about any one else but this drummer always, always makes my day.....
Well said!!!
She is amazing
You really make me cry... thank´s Sina and I wish you a very good year...
What an absolutely Splendid comment👍Fan From Florida 🌴
Wonderful performance, as always Sina "Keith Moon" Drums...
Greetings from Brazil.
WOW - Amazing performance, one of your best. To your continued success in '21. Happy New Year
Complex, powerful. unpredictable and played to perfection.
Gary
Excellent and well played song choice Sina. Thanks for taking such good care of us this year and here's wishing you and the family a Happy New Year.
Yes...Yes... Please cover the whole Tommy album.. Thank you for sharing your talent! John from Chicago U.S.
Dear Little Lady! Since 1963 I have been listening and collecting rock music. In my opinion, now in the world there is no master of playing drums equal to You, but I am sure that there is simply no limit to your perfection. Take care of yourself and your family and move on!
Sina again delivers a wonderful music treat. And yes please cover the whole album.Thank you.
When you're at the end of a set, your fingers are numb, your heart is racing, your gasping for breath, you KNOW you're just created a wonderful sound. Great going Sina.
The spirit of Keith lives in you 🔥 absolutely brilliant and beautiful
Just a wonderful way to start 2021 and yes do the rest of tommy please
Thank you for bring to our heads those years in your magistral way ❤
Keith Moon would be hella PROUD of what you've created!!! You kilt it!!! WELL DONE!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I’ve played and studied music for over 40 years. You are one of the finest drummers I’ve heard. What a joy to listen to.
The mathematical patterns Sina has to memorize is amazing! She plays themback flawllessly! ;) Bravo!
My sentiments exactly!
O
MY
GOD!
Let's pray 21 is a better year! Another wonderful performance...thank you!
You certainly nailed that dear girl . MORE, MORE.
As I already commented- her expressions were as epic on this as her performance! She truly channeled Keith Moon in all the details, yet still uniquely Sina 😲😆 🤩 🌴
@@nancyslider645 Hey Nancy, couldn't find your comment today on here, I must be getting old, but I did find you on Gregory Brainard's comment.
Lol- it was near the top and I also noticed it got swept towards the bottom half just a bit ago. But it’s still there🤪
Aaand now it’s up here again! Don’t know how these things work- lol
I love the music from "Tommy" and your performance here was great. I would love if you covered the whole album. That would be awesome.
This was well worth the wait and tease. Would we like you to cover the album? We would like you to cover ALL albums! You have such passion for your music & we love you for it. Thanks for the year and a much better one coming. You be all safe, too.
Such a delight to watch. I have a whole new appreciation of drummers.
Thank you, Sina! Another outstanding performance. In a year that has been crazy for everyone, you have touched the hearts and put smiles on so many faces. I have looked forward each week to see what you come up with next. I have to say you haven't disappointed at all. Whatever path your career takes you on, I will always do what I can to support you. Happy New Year to you and your family. Stay safe and healthy. Best wishes for your future.
I am never disappointed by anything Sina attempts! She is a fantastic musician!
Lol tru dat
I’m always in awe when I listen & watch. You are an incredible drummer. It just goes to show everyone what hard work & perseverance can accomplish! Young people everywhere, THIS is a ROLEMODEL ♥️
