Thanks dude.
Good Stuff Dave! 👊😎🇺🇸 Thanks for educating us 👍
Well shown. Nice improvement.
Well done Dave. 👍
Well, Cranky, you were the one that got me thinking about this dude. I have had many 1911s go through my hands, by all means, I'm no expert in this subject, however. I wanted to reflect on some of the things people can do at home and some of the tricks that I have seen from top gunsmiths. fitting is what you pay for, the handwork and experience it takes, Believe it or not, even when competitors buy top-end guns they pay for the pistol to be gone through by a guy that specializes in the fine details. there is only so much time a producer will spend on a build, ya, It will be great having a top name gun, but people spend the extra to smooth them even more. If anyone deserves a Thanks, it is you for Jogging my memory on this subject. -Dave
Well done Dave. So much of gunsmithing is common sense. Thank you.
Thanks, Marvin. yes agreed.
Great video Dave
Thanks Willie.
Well dang I’m going the other way, long fingers syndrome. Still got stock trigger and put a arched mainspring on it and still could use a little longer trigger, but it works for me. It’s a great 1911 for the money.
Agreed. good solid pistol. good shooter.
Well done. Thank you.
Thanks for watching it.
My long fingers did not match up well with the stock short trigger in my Springfield 1911. Replaced it with an ED brown long trigger. It was not a drop in part so I had to do some fitting like you did. Used 2000 grit sand paper instead of a stone. Worked out very well. Great video, Thor.
Nice DIY
Don't know why Springfield uses these dumb looking silver long triggers. I wish it matched the gun with a blued trigger.
