Got mine in the mail a couple days ago. It’s absolutely beautiful!!! Awesome artwork. Even the box is amazing. Really can’t wait to play a game! Glad I backed this one.
I missed the campaign, but I was able to late pledge. Got the print and play, and my cousin and I have torn this game up. We've played this game 16 times. We've beaten all the bosses in the base game and P&P expansion, except for the goblin king. Just can't seem to get him taken care of. I am so excited to get this game and tear into Stories. We didn't print that cuz we wanted to leave some excitement for when we both get our copies.
Yeah, it's a challenge. One thing we usually did was make sure to use as much of the torch track as we could to kill goblins in the first half to make sure we had all the right gear.
The only way I was able to defeat the goblin king was getting lucky and having the chain lightning spell and used that to ward off goblins while my other hero laid waste to the king himself. I for sure would have died without that.
@@acemavrick it's not easy. I've played six times and only legit won one. Lost two to torch track (one of which I played out because I was one move away from entering the lair), and the others I was killed by bosses or minions. I've still had fun every game tho. On top of what Thessick said, how soon are you luring them out of the lairs? I usually only send one hero in to reveal the boss and make an attack, then immediately lure them out with my other hero on the next turn. Getting them to those altars ASAP is key to being able to do significant damage. That and using the extra turns from beating the minions to finalize your equipment as best you can. Cheers!
If I wanted to buy the deluxe edition, stories expansion, and the game mat from the website, would I be missing out anything that the Kickstarter campaign had? Looking forward to Vikings, campaign launches on my birthday :)

I am impressed. I am finding it hard to get enough damage in before the torch runs out.

Does this game have a campaign mode?
The Stories expansion introduces a mini campaign mode in which players explore 3 levels of dungeon and face 2 bosses at the end of it!

If they made the box twice as big, you could fit the components in twice more easily. This form factor makes no sense...
