- The story of Joey, dubbed the "Unluckiest Bear," is a heartbreaking tale of human interference with wildlife gone awry. Joey, an albino brown bear from Canada, was mistaken for a polar bear by authorities and subjected to a series of misguided actions.
Initially found in the lush forests of Canada, Joey was transported to the North Pole under the belief that he belonged there. However, upon awakening in the freezing environment, it became evident that Joey was not adapting well. Environmentalists soon realized their error and brought Joey back to Canada.
Unfortunately, the confusion persisted, and Joey was mistakenly transported to the North Pole once again. Despite the eventual realization of the mistake, Joey endured multiple relocations back and forth between the North Pole and Canada.
In a misguided attempt to prevent further confusion, Joey's fur was dyed. However, this did not spare him from being mistaken for a polar bear again and being placed in a polar bear exhibit in a zoo. Here, Joey faced bullying and mistreatment from other polar bears due to his different appearance.
Ultimately, Joey found solace in an enclosure for brown bears, where a viral video of him waking up from hibernation was captured. His story serves as a poignant reminder of the consequences of human misunderstanding and interference with wildlife.
The repeated relocations, decision to dye his fur, and subsequent mistreatment highlight the impact of well-intentioned yet misguided human actions on innocent animals. Joey's suffering underscores the need for greater awareness and consideration when it comes to interacting with wildlife.
The question arises: Should humans interfere with wildlife? The story of Joey prompts viewers to reflect on this issue and share their opinions in the comment section.

The environmentalists need to be fined or punished for putting poor, Joey, through these unnecessary measures. They rushed their decisions without advising with experts.
Any real veterinarian should have been able to easily identify a brown bear from a polar bear! Good Lord, 3 times is beyond ridiculous.
I hope Joey is doing better and dealing with his human-caused PTSD.😢
When joey wake up in arctic again and said "aw fuk they got me again" 😅
i did not know all bears were pedo bears i think that was the joke
The heads aren't the same, so much difference in posture 🤦♀️
Thank you!
Can't believe that people believe this.. 🤦♀️
I just commented that on another video. Grizzlies and polars look nothing alike. Their head, snout, and body shape is totally different. It's crazy that so called nature/animal expert organizations made this mistake multiple times!
U know what a joke is?😶
Wouldn't it be easier to have tagged him with a tag saying "Albino grizzly - hands off"?
Yes! I was thinking the same, like wtf 😒 seriously 😳.
Poor thing 😕😔.
These are the same type of college educated intellectuals that make decisions within our government. Let that sink in.
What about leaving him tf alone and stop fcking with wildlife
@@Dan395.
They were trying to help, but obviously not very professional 🙄.
That's why people were recommending an ear tag to prevent this from happening again.
Poor bear 😔.
Self righteous, concerned know nothings almost killed something they were trying to 'save' - so typical
They should give him some kind of tag saying I’m an albino grizzly so they stop doing this shit
I was hoping for a happy ending to joeys story, but ends up he is enslaved in an enclosure for life. Can’t they just release him back to his original location where they first mistakenly took him from
They decided to take him in enclosure to avoid further damage to his wellbeing.
Human nature always judges by color
Joey must sue 😢
Can’t they just microchip him or tag him and let him go. Poor bear
poor joey, i hope he is okay now. he didnt deserve this , hope he finds his family again one day!
Why would you move the bear??? How do you think it ended up in the woods.
Humans should not interfere with wildlife at all! Let nature runs its course. Mother Nature is wiser than any of us.
Good god, they’ve even invented bear racism
Im just a casual viewer of bear videos and I still dont understand how tf these "experts" miss identified Joey as a polar bear. Hes smaller then polar bears and his face doesn't look at all like a polar bears
Shouldn’t we at least consider the possibility that this story is completely made up?
You can. But I don’t post something that’s made up 😊
Thank you! Every article you pull up about it are different versions of the same story. There are no names given, there is no date, no location names. They don't even have the name of the zoo he supposedly ends up in. There are so many flaws to this story and nothing can be verified. What conservation groups? What authorities ordered him to be taken to the North Pole? Who are the people who found him in Canada? So many different people in groups involved in this story, but no interviews? Not even a name?
I feel like there's a reason the only place you'll find this story are social media forums and sites that post about viral trends. You'd think a major story such as this would have been picked up by at least a few of the larger news networks out there with how sensational it is.
It is a known fake story and the channel author is a known liar
I don't think the story is made up, I believe Joey existed. I'm confused, though, by the disheveled bear coming out of the cave. I understood that to be a former circus bear who was finally rescued to a sanctuary. Her name is Chada🤷🏽♀️
@@Quiztermind It seems made up.
So poor bear😢 The authority must be punished😡Please somebody tell me which specific place and authority in Canada, I can't find any on web😮
If it looks like a polar bear. Smells like a polar bear, sounds like a polar bear then its a....ohh its Joey the unluckiest albino brown bear😎🙏
My GOD, poor Joey! Couldn't they have just microchipped him or something!?!? At least right after the first time!
*Scans chip* "Oh, he's an albino grizzly bear, that could've been catastrophic!" Doiiii!
It’s head is obviously different than a Polar Bear
Dude got sent to the Bear ghetto
Where is he now? What happened to Joey?
He’s since been moved to a brown bear enclosure after the unfortunate events
I think the message is, "hey activists, maybe some of you chill the fuck out"
Poor fella at least he's safe now
Even if he was a polar bear he clearly didn’t wanna be there anymore, let ‘Em move around humans do it
😑😑😑 in bali animal activist try to save traped dog from the drainage and turn out that 4 meter piton
Seriously?? Poor thing 😢. They need to put a tag that reads "I'm not a Polar Bear" on his ear. I hope he's ok. Story didn't really say anything of where he ended up. Praying he's home safe.
I couldn’t find his exact whereabouts, but he wasn’t returned back to the wild to avoid further damage in the future.
Thats so sad ending...why they didn't back him to nature?
what da is this brown bear doing in Arlington Texas
I think it's a albino bear
So, I'm guessing Joey doesn't have White Privilege.
Joey doesn't share identity
Bro got deported twice even tho he was white.
And where is he now.. how foolish thats why bears should be left alone
me when I lie
Are these guys who are mistaking this bear, dense?
Me letting you know
i m cryign rite nao joees storee iz so sad :(
Canadians, the end.
Shouldn't have been an albeeno...
😢
HILARIOUS 😂
It's actually looking like polar bear.
Yeah. His uniqueness made him vulnerable
Fake story but funny
Not very good journalism at the end. How many species have humans moved to their correct habitat? You act like humans interreference is only bad, whilst there are plenty of good cases to be made too. Maybe thats just the way I percieved it tho.
Feels to me like a fake story meant to drum up anger at conservation and wildlife protection groups. To what end, I don't know. I don't understand this hatred towards groups of people working to protect and conserve wildlife. These are the folks trying to fix what we as humans have caused. We've gone past the point of "let it be, don't interfere". We're the problem, so only we can be the solution.
Racist
