I consider his voice sketched into that character like a book when reading Batman comics his voice is the very first that comes to mind when reading Batman's speech bubbles I wish everyone could have enjoyed his Batman growing up he pretty much made a hardcore Marvel fan jump ship when he played Batman
@@TheMysteryDriver He never needed to. Conroy will forever be the outro to Vee's videos. Speaking of which, Vee should have Arleen Sorkin and Mark Hamill replace Tara Strong and Troy Baker respectively in that outro.
My favorite vocal deliver from his was in Arkham Knight. “You’re afraid of being ashes. You’re afraid of being forgotten. And you WILL be forgotten joker. Because of me.” “I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman.” Kevin, I hope you know that you will never be forgotten.
Arkham Knight showed the character in a different state. After Joker's death, it seemed that Kevin sounded harsher in his delivery. I don't think it was just his older age, but an intentional choice on either his, or the director's part.
I first met Kevin in 2014 at Denver Comic-Con. We chatted about doing voice work & he had a script from BTAS that he handed me & started doing lines with me. I have never in my life felt so honored & scared at the same time. To this day I can't help but smile & tear up just thinking about it.
When Kevin left us, it felt like Batman left us too. Even though it's been months I'm still in shock that he's gone, he seemed so larger than life that I never thought he would leave us one day. He has been and always will be my Batman, the best to ever do it hands down. Makes it even better that he was an incredible person too, thank you Kevin for giving me and countless other kids their definitive Batman and teaching us how to cope with the hardships of life. Gone but never forgotten.
I remember my first time hearing his voice as Batman when I was 5 years old watching the World's Finest episodes of Superman the Animated Series and just being mesmerized by his intimidating and deep yet calming voice. From that point on he was MY Batman and for that reason every time I gazed upon something Batman related, live-action or otherwise, I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't him. He became my childhood hero and I would not be the same person if it wasn't for him. For all of us he is THE Batman and there will never be another like him.
one of the things i loved about kevin was he had different voices for bruce wayne and batman and they sound totally different....hes definately the best bruce and batman rip kevin conroy
I met Kevin Conroy twice at 2 different cons. The first meeting was good but the second one is the most special, it was a local con and the final day of the con so everyone who wanted to meet him or see his Q&A with Phil LaMar had already done so, so he was alone and I got to speak to him for around 20 minutes!! He was so kind and at the time (November 2015) we didn’t know he was going to be Batman in the killing joke film, but he told me “keep an ear out in January” and winked at me when I asked about it.
A man who we all should strive to be like. He was a real life Batman but unlike Batman he wore his heart on his shirt. What an honor to have grown up with him and his voice. Rest in Peace Kevin you truly are a hero
Kevin Conroy passing on was like Stan Lee passing away all over again, it just broke me when I found out it happened when it did, because I thought that Kevin Conroy Batman would be around for literally FOREVER, never in a second did I think of a day when Kevin would've either retired his portrayal or him pass away at all, I figured he'd be around till he was 90 and STILL VOICING BATMAN, but now, there will never be that chance for one more word, one more line, one more time or one more story from KC Batman, Kevin Conroy was a once in a lifetime voice for a character that has had multiple versions of himself but truly only one voice that defined him, and that was Kevin Conroy, no voice could portray him, AND NO VOICE HAS EVER BEEN BETTER SINCE KEVIN.
I am also sad that Kevin Conroy as a voice actor and a great person is gone because damn it he was my Batman growing up and to not hear his voice anymore breaks my heart into a million pieces. 😥
I am hesitant to watch this because I know I’m gonna cry. Mr. Conroy is, in my opinion, the greatest Batman EVER. He made Batman my favorite American superhero. This man helped make my childhood cartoon watching amazing, he ruled in the specials, and was great in the games. Rest in peace, Mr. Conroy. You are greatly missed. 😢
He will ALWAYS be Batman to me. Same with his fellow Trinity members George Newbern as Superman and Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman. Everytime I read a Justice League comic,I always hear their voices in my head. R.I.P Kevin, and thank you for making my childhood AWESOME.
I grew up hearing Kevin Conroy, and to this day hear his voice nearly everyday. I play the show for my kids now and they love it. I pray for Kevin Conroy and for everyone suffering through his loss. Thanks for the video V.
Bro. Not you making me sob like a baby listening to this while I'm working out. I loved and grew up on Conroy's Batman in the 90s and, you're right, he was who I held every other portrayal against to judge how good I thought they were. Great tribute to an awesome (Bat)man.
Kevin and Bruce greenwood from Batman under the redhood are the only voices I hear when I read a Batman comics hands down.. Rip Kevin thank you for being my inspiration for becoming a voice actor 🙏🏽🖤😎
I was also gonna comment Bruce greenwood. Him in young justice really sold me on him being Batman in a similar way to Kevin Diedrich Bader is also really good but he's like a combination of Kevin and Adam West
@@pickedceasar1216 I agree with you 100% I would add Bruce Greenwood is a good successor to Kevin Conroy while diedrich bader is a good successor to Adam West who also has like you said a touch of Kevin
@@JJsixx_ ahhhhh, I figured it was someone like that because he sounded so familiar. He was really good, not flawless like his Joker but he was clearly invoking Kevin Conroy somewhat. Of course they didn't call it "The Telltale Series" for nothing.
I still miss Kevin I was honoured to meet Kevin in 2017 it makes me sad he’s no longer with us who truly was full of kindness his memory lives on in us
Kevin Conroy as batman was my childhood. As a kid I never put down arkham asylum. It was my favorite game up until I was about 15 (I was 4 when it came out) in a household where no one seemed to like each other that is what I spent most of my days doing. And my favorite movie was batman mystery of the batwoman i thought it was great and too this day I think it gets too little credit and is underrated. Kevin was a big part of my childhood and still to this day I can pick up any arkham game and love it especially asylum and knight Kevin will always be missed
This was such an emotional video. Kevin's death was the first celebrity death that really hit me. I felt some real emotions hearing him at the end. Thank you for making this Vee you beautiful bastard
I remember the day I heard about Kevin's passing. I was reading comics at my library and my friend told me what happened and I just lost it. Now I've been sad about other big deaths (Ex: Robin Williams, Chadwick Boseman) but this one hit especially hard for me. I first heard him in Arkham Asylum and loved how gravitas and dramatic his voice was. It just fit the character so well that I couldn't hear any other voice for the character because he fit him so well. I will miss you, Kevin. Thank you for everything.
I Watched Batman The Animated Series Over And Over As A Kid, I Fell In Love With Every Character, I Never Had Much Of A Childhood, But I Can Definitely Say The Times I Watched Btas I Will Always Look At Foundly, Batman Was Someone Looked Up To, To Give Me Courage To Keep Going When Things Were Rough, Batman Always Made It Through Anything That Was Throw At Him, And That Encouraged Me To Do The Same. Rest In Peace Kevin, You Will Be Forever Remembered For All The Wonderful Things You've Done
I didn't grow up watching Batman the animated series I didn't know who batman or Kevin was until I started watching Vee and saw Will friedle talk about kevin. I was learning who kevin was when he passed but I'm glad that I got to see him play Batman in Cw Crisis live in 2019 he was amazing as a Jaded and broken Bruce Wayne in a time where Dark superheroes were thriving in Dc he was the best.
I'm so thankful I got to live in the same time period as Kevin Conroy and his Batman. Not only did he become the pinnacle voice for the character, but without him, other great Batman Voice Actors and on screen actors possibly wouldn't have performed the way they did. We'll miss Kevin dearly, and I look forward to seeing his final performance in the Suicide Squad game. Rest in peace to the hero that had a part in saving the lives of many on screen, and off screen.🦇
Vee I’ve been waiting for this since Kevin’s passing. I figured it would take some time and I’m glad it did. Kevin was impactful to so many and he deserved the best when he was alive as well as the best sendoff anyone can receive. I appreciate the effort and care you put into your videos. Especially this one. Cheers to Kevin a TRUE HERO! And thanks to you, brother.
My all-time favorite moment from Kevin was when he gave the "vengeance and night" speech, because that was what really sold me into wanting to watch more of BTAS as a kid. The dark tone of his voice, the epic music, and the near-shouting of his lines made me get goosebumps even today! Never met him, and that will haunt me til the day I die, but that moment is the part of his whole career that made me realize Kevin WAS Batman (even though, back then, I thought that movies and TV shows were actual history, for some reason). RIP Kevin, THE Batman.
One of my all time favorite moments is in Batman Mask of the Phantasm when he's kneeling at his parents grave. Kevin gave so much emotion in that scene and many others that has never been replicated by any other actor. RIP to the best, most perfect, most compassionate Batman ever, Kevin Conroy. He lives on through all our Hearts.
I was 11 years old and waiting for Batman returns to come out when I saw the announcement for the animated series on TV. Batman 89 was one of the biggest movies in my life. It was so cool I got home from a friend's house and my dad said hey I recorded this new Batman show want to check it out and we watched countless movies and shows together but not cartoons. It was on leather wings and we both loved it. So over the years we watched alot of the big episodes together. So when my dad passed I went back to watch that episode agian, it was the first thing I did to try and make myself feel better. Batman has always been there for me and I've spent more time with Kevin Conroy than anyone else in my life because Batman has always reminded me that no matter what happens to you, you can always remain a good person.
Listening to the message from Kevin at the end.. wow. What an extraordinary guy! He will be forever missed. Oh, and I’m definitely restarting BTAS again tonight.
I won't lie and say that I'm the biggest Batman fan or DC fan in general so his performances didn't have a special place in my heart like others. By god though, that smile at 23:22 is all I needed to see from this man. I have NEVER seen anyone give such a genuine smile from something they simply love doing and that was something for a fan no less. This man truly is a treasure and I regret not being more into his work when he was alive. What I can say is though, RIP sir, even people who are not into the character you portray can still recognize the love and dedication you put into work.
His response to your question was so powerful. I am going to save this video so when I need a pick me up, to listen to his words of why I appreciate batman so much. And why we continue to work hard, not only in life but on ourselves.
He wasn't *my* favorite but he was amazing and iconic no contest. Even if I usually get fatigued from hearing the same voices in roles in basically everything, Kevin as Batman was one I could never find dull when I heard it. RIP Thank you Kevin for a passionate performance lasting for decades. You will be missed, but also remembered.
I still tear up when I watch clips of Conroy, even months after his passing, it’s hard for me to call him the best Batman actor because simply put, he was vengeance, he was the night, he was Batman
Kevin Conroy Is the voice of Batman. He has made our childhoods and into our adulthoods so special. His voice his iconic to do duel of making Bruce Wayne as his mask and Batman being his true face. As a quote from Rachel Dawes from Batman Begins "Its not who am I underneath but I do that defines me." He gave the voice such prowleesnes and powerful to scare criminals to intimidate thugs and viilans for over 30 years since 1992. A long lasting legacy that Kevin Conroy has done to this iconic character has character who also gave him depth and care for the innocent and meaningful for others. Thank you Kevin Conroy for so much and thank you for also coming out before his sudden passing. ❤
Being a pretty big gamer my whole life I grew a massive personal attachment to the Arkham series. Arkham Knight being my favourite performance because you can truly feel him being broken and consumed by The Jokers toxin whilst trying to fight it off with every last breath he has and Kevin makes this feel so real to me it gives goosebumps even thinking about it, much like the rest of his roles. The was truly amazing. Thank you for sharing that clip at the end, I felt like I needed that. Been waiting for this video for some time now and man, was it worth the wait.
I'm not gonna lie, I never got into TAS but Conroy is my batman. The fact that he continued playing bats for the rest of the DCAU like justice league (which I watch yearly) and of course other projects like the Arkham series there was no way I would have ever seen anyone else as batman. Even with TAS, I never sat down to watch the entire show (always felt like my older brothers show) there were still episodes of the show that were part of my childhood like the episode with the one armed priest who was childhood friends with a gangster or the alway amazing gray ghost episode. And that show before the redesign was always gorgeous to me. that like 40s gothic noir feeling made each frame gorgeous. Mix that with Conroy and the rest of the talent that help make that show and you have perfection. I mean for him it was literally and luckily transcendent since he worked on all these other projects as the B man. Thank you Kevin Conroy, even when I’m 80 you will be batman, the voice I will here when reading comics, the batman to compare all others against, and the one that I will annoy my grandkids by telling them about the best batman.
I know i watched BTAS when i was little but my first memories were from batman beyond. He had this… he was just the coolest. And the “that’s not what i call myself” line has always stuck out to me more than any other
Kevin Conroy was the greatest voice for Barman. I can't read a Batman comic without hearing that man's voice. And knowing at how much love he put into the character is just simply amazing. And of learning more of Kevin just made me a bigger fan of him than I already was. I still have a Batman toy from when I was a kid, and I still hear his voice. Rest in peace Kevin Conroy. I may never got to meet him in person. But I will hopefully see him in another life.
The guy was so intelligent and, artistic too. He didn't get to do much live roles, even though he did 50 million rehearsals for tons of shows...he was an artist. You can tell this in his interviews. He loved to act in general, and he found that one role for him, and he nailed it.
It's usually pretty difficult for me to feel saddened by the deaths of people I don't personally know, morbid as that might be, but news of Kevin dying was painful to hear. For as far back as I've got memories, I've loved Batman. The character, while imperfect, served as quite the lovely escape route from some pretty stressful times during my younger days. He's inspired the tone and themes of several passion projects I'm writing. And nobody who's voiced him before or since Kevin has brought Batman to life the same way. He'll be dearly missed for that fact.
Not only was one of my favorite on screen heroes, Batman, but Kevin was truly a real hero to millions. May he rest in peace, hopefully he knew how many lives he truly saved and changed for the better.
I didn't watch Batman: The Animated Series until last year, but I'm so glad I did. Kevin Conroy infused so much passion into the character, and hearing him talk about what Batman means to people and how they connect with him was just as entertaining as his actual portrayal. He embodied Batman so perfectly without ever actually getting into the suit(until Crisis, that is), and his love for what he was doing was always felt. While I would've loved to meet him at some point, but the legacy he left behind is undeniable. He will always be vengeance. He will always be the night. He will always be Batman.
When I think of Kevin Conroy's Batman, I always think about the two-parter "Two Face". The pain and guilt he felt from failing to save Harvey, save his friend, and his desire to bring him back to the light just defines the character for me. Also, when I watched Gotham Knight for the first time and I heard his voice, I tried to say the sentence, "It's Kevin Conroy!" But that wasn't what came out of my mouth. I said, "It's Batman!"
Kevin Conroy is THE BEST Batman ever. Seriously, The Darkness, The Humor, Charm, even Emotion. Conroy just Got it all right. He was so revered that whenever Mark Hamill was asked to do the Joker. One Of the first things he asked was "Is Kevin Voicing batman?" R.I.P Mr Conroy, We all miss you ❤🦇
The day Kevin died was the day the world lost one of the greatest human beings we will ever see, he was a light to us all as children and adults and he will be missed of generations to come. Batman Forever! Rest well big guy😢
I remember when I was a wee lil lad my dad bought me Batman Mask of the Phantasm on vhs. It was my first introduction to not only Conroys batman but also Hamills joker. After that film i would tune in to watch the animated series religiously even to this. Kevin Conroy is and will always be batman. May he rest in peace
Well I’ve definitely been waiting for this video to happen and I knew that I’d tear up if you had Kevin speaking, but man thank you for this ….I don’t comment much but this was beautiful. Kevin is one of the reasons why I want to voice act someday….dude pretty much defined what I thought a hero should sound like. And will forever be the best Bat. 💯❤️🔥
That interview segment got me right in the feels. That was a beautiful vision of the meaning of Batman as a character. If Keven Conway tells me that is who Batman is. Then, as a Superman fan. I say that Batman is the greatest of the DC heroes.
Kevins Batman, unconsciously, is in part, an influence to how I get about with my interactions. Subtle, calm and and observant. Character traits I feel like, I first recognized from watching Kevin's portrayal.
I remember as a kid that when asked who my favorite superhero was, I would say Superman. But it was Batman the Animated Series that I watched almost every time it would come on. The Arkham games rekindled my love for the character and led me to devouring more Batman content as I became aware of it. Not to mention the iconic, emotion-filled voice that let you know whatever property Kevin was working on, he would be the one giving it all he had. He will be dearly missed.
I take great comfort in knowing that when watching the best animated Batman content, playing genre defining games, and knowing that so many of us will always hear his voice when we're reading what Batman is saying. He defined Batman in a way that can never truly be replicated. He is truly immortal. The definitive Batman and then some 🦇 Fantastic video, Vee. Always like to see the Passion for Kevin and TAS in general 👍
I still cry when I think about not being able to meet Kevin before he passed. He is why I like Batman as much as I do. He is who I compare everyone else to when it comes to performing and to this day no one has come close. A true legend in every sense of the word.
Kevin Conroy was the definitive Batman TWICE. He was my childhood and influenced the man I am today using strength as a tool of compassion. As many great moments as he had with this character, the one I instantly went to wasn’t even Batman. It was Bruce standing in front of his parents grave in Mask of the Phantasm questioning this unforeseen happiness that jeopardises his mission as Batman. Brings tears to my eyes every time. Thank you Kevin and Rest in peace
The only reason him and Mark laid off the roles after so long is simply health problems/getting old. Otherwise they'd never stop. You know why Mark doesn't do Joker anymore? The voice killed his larynx. He can't.
When I sat in front of the tv in 1992 as a little kid and watched "The Cat and the Claw" air on FOX, that was the first time I heard Batman. I had seen the movie BATMAN and BATMAN RETURNS but I couldn't wait to get home from school in anticipation of Batman airing. I was in the hospital for quite awhile shortly after, my Dad had bought me a Batboat minature toy from the show, and the original GameBoy with Tetris to pass the time while in there. As fun as the GameBoy was I still remember that toy more fondly..
My favorite thing to come from Kevin Conroy is well all of it. He did everything with passion and it was all amazing and beautiful it’s sad that he gone he is the Vengeance he is the Night he is Batman
The outro was leaving me feeling kinda bad after the news of his passing. It all affected me more than I expected to, specially with Power Ranger's JDF's passing too. I knew our "least favorite UA-camr" would have something to say, he mentioned it before, and I knew that it would take a while, but it'd be special. This video was amazing. I got tears when hearing Kevin define BTAS for him. This tribute wasn't a quick video to appease the algorithm while his death was on the news, this was a proper tribute to a man that deserved every second, every word of it. Thank you for this video.
My own relationship with my father was heavily influenced by BTAS. My dad loved that specific version of Batman and Conroy was his favorite part. I grew up listening to it. I miss you dad and I’ll always think of you when I hear that incredible voice 💙
👏👏👏 vee that was the best tribute video i have ever seen 😢 he would have loved it and same as you he is the voice of that iconc character period i love anything and everything he did he was perfect for that role. Outta all the shows or other batman things the animated was and is still my favorite i wish i could have met him 😢. The episode with baby doll he did or countless others from that amazing show are hard to pick. Again fantastic video vee 👏👏👏👏👏
I’m so glad I got to meet him before his death, he will always be batman to me and had an impact on me that I don’t know how to put into words. I wish we could’ve gotten him as old man Bruce in a live action Batman Beyond
I was a little kid like 5 years old...Batman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Batman Mask of the Phantasm, Mystery of the Batwoman, SubZero. I hardly remember anything from back then ofc, but I remember watching all of those over and over and over. Then in my teens, Arkham. Its been 2 decades and Kevins voice as Batman been with some of us since we were playing in the sandbox. I think a big reason why I love replaying Arkham so much is because his voice reminds me of a simpler time.
As a boy. My first introduction to Batman was Batman beyond. And there was always something so cool about old Bruce. And then I saw the OG animated series and justice league. He has. And always will be my Batman. From 4 to 27. Rest easy BATMAN
Man, it's been over a year since he passed and I'm still not ready to let go. Gone way too soon. Had the joy of meeting him once, and just as you said, he was an absolute angel.
I grew up watching BTAS, JL, and JLU. Those shows and Kevin Conroy's Batman made me a lifelong superhero nerd. When I was younger and got bullied a lot, Conroy's Batman seemed like a power fantasy. But as I got older (and STILL got bullied), I really got to see the empathy and humanity behind Conroy's Batman. Sure, there were other characters I loved, like Spider-Man, Wolverine, Punisher, Deadpool, Captain America, Black Panther, etc., but his portrayal of Batman (MAYBE alongside Dee Bradley Baker's Captain Rex) made me believe that human beings always have the chance to be--and do--better, whether anyone else takes it.
Well my earliest memories of Kevin's performance were watching BTAS on Fox Kids. I was probably 4 or 5 when I first started watching the show, so I don't remember what was the very first episode I saw. What I can remember is that by the time I did start watching the show, it had already been rebranded as The Adventures of Batman and Robin, so I never saw the original BTAS theme intro until Cartoon Network aired re-runs of the show in the late 90s. As such, I thought THAT intro was the newer one, heh. I also saw Mask of the Phantasm for the first time on CN's Cartoon Theater block and I was confused as heck by all the various flashback scenes since I didn't understand what a flashback was then, so I was unable to fully understand the moment in the movie when Bruce dons the mask of Batman for the first time even with the epic music that was played. Anyway, I'm sure grateful to have literally been able to grow up on Kevin's portrayal of Batman the past 30 years, and that his version was my intro to Batman in general. It's still hard to believe he's gone, but his legacy will of course live on through us fans.
First 6 seconds show us everything that defines The Batman. What I like the most about Kevin's take on Batman's voice is how stoic, collected and totally in control he sounded. Even when the situation ia harsh or really really bad, he never loses his composure. Timeless. I also really like his take on the Batman in Crisis... That was one incarnation of The Batman I was really excited to see him play.
My favorite moment will always be when he comforts Ace in JLU and The very similar moment at the End of The Batman, to keep it short he realizes that he’s just a scared kid like the people that he’s comforting
Kevin Conroy has been my favourite Batman since the Animated series and especially the Arkham Games and when Knight came out a lot of people criticized his performance and it honestly broke my heart they were saying he was “robotic” and “lifeless” saying his acting was bad but that’s what made it so good through out the Arkham saga u can see his evolution or devolution from his expressive and live voice in Asylum and Origins (even tho it was Roger) to how he sounds so dead inside in Knight the only two Arkham games where he grunts in combat is Asylum and Origins and I think that’s on purpose and spoilers for Arkham he lost so much people that he just doesn’t feel the same anymore like Jason, Barbara (at the moment) and joker oddly enough so his lifeless voice in Knight fits very well and makes sense in the narrative of the games
I met Kevin Conroy at Comic-Con in 2021. Growing up watching Batman The Animated Series, The Justice League, etc. Kevin's version of Batman was always my favorite. And like many other Batman fans, his voice was the one I always heard in my head when reading Batman comics. After our Photo-Op at Comic-Con, I bumped into Kevin in the main hall and got a chance to have a chat with him. I proceeded to tell him that there were two kinds of groups of kids I grew up with. Those who rooted for the heroes, and those who rooted for the villains. I was the one who rooted for the heroes. And I always rooted for Batman whenever I watched the animated series. He was the one of the heroes who inspired me to root for good and justice. Kevin then smiled and told me he was glad to hear that Batman brought inspiration to fans like me and that his version of Batman was a hero people of all ages could look up to. Shortly after our chat me and Kevin hugged, and before departing. I remarked to him that even now, he's still my hero and my Batman. Me and Kevin smiled and departed ways. 🦇🖤
I love everything with Kevin as Batman, wether it's good or bad, Kevin was always on his A Game. I remember the cross over with Static so well. ❤ Great content V
My fav Batman moment from Conroy is so hard to pick. His first "I am Vengence, I an the Night, I am Batman" in the animated series was awesome and always sticks out. His pleas in the Mask of the Phantsam to his parents to let him be happy. His final words in Arkham City to then Joker have so much weight and emotion. His entire performance in Arkham Knight was probs my fav overall performance with all the emotional beats, banter with other characters, and epic moments will always resonate with me. One of my fav moments from Kevin specifically was one of my first in depth interviews I watched with him on the Michael Rosenbaum podcast. Up until then I knew of his work in Batman but not much about him as an individual, his time before Batman, getting the role and making it his own, his trials in life and rebuilding his relationship with his father later in life. It was an amazing podcast that I highly recommend watching if you haven’t already and allowed me to feel a genuine connection with a man who despite listening to and hearing so much of I never heard about him specifically and I’m glad as from there I found way more interviews about him which I greatly enjoyed. A true legend, off and on screen. Defined one of my fav characters of all time, through media which has got me through tough time, who’s Batman related and personal stories had an amazing impact on me. RIP Kevin Conroy, The Batman
For millions of Batman fans, Kevin Conroy is the voice they hear whenever they read a comic with Batman in it.
I consider his voice sketched into that character like a book when reading Batman comics his voice is the very first that comes to mind when reading Batman's speech bubbles I wish everyone could have enjoyed his Batman growing up he pretty much made a hardcore Marvel fan jump ship when he played Batman
Too bad Vee doesn't actually put his voice in any of the video when he's describing his voice.
Facts
Really I do read every Batman as Conroy’s voice. The only exception is the Batman Who Laughs, I read him with Adam West’s voice
Because of me.”
“I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman.”
Kevin, I hope you know that you will never be forgotten.
i wont lie when harvey/two face snapped at batman while in the batmobile and batman said with sorrow in his voice "im so sorry harvey" i choked up
Arkham Knight showed the character in a different state.
What a memorable moment!
Straight legend.
That’s so cool! The fact he had a script and you two started doing lines is cool
that sounds great man 😮😊
I’m glad he was shown so much appreciation even before his sudden passing. Not many people are so lucky. He was an absolute legend.
Kevin Conroy will always be my favorite. He was my childhood. He played the role perfectly. I still miss him so much. Rest in love, Kevin.
For all of us he is THE Batman and there will never be another like him.
one of the things i loved about kevin was he had different voices for bruce wayne and batman and they sound totally different....hes definately the best bruce and batman
rip kevin conroy
Yeah, there will never be a true Batman because Kevin Conroy WAS and WILL be the real Batman.
Oh stop. You are embellishing for likes.
@@100gecsrbetterthangod5 Every single thing I said is 100% true.
Truer words have never been said!
That's so amazing! You are truly blessed to have had that opportunity ❤
@@brookswilliams5239 it was awesome.
So lucky! I wish I could have met him. I would be fan boying so hard to the point of embarrassment 😅
A man who we all should strive to be like. He was a real life Batman but unlike Batman he wore his heart on his shirt. What an honor to have grown up with him and his voice. Rest in Peace Kevin you truly are a hero
I love this way of thinking. He really was a hero to everyone. Rest in peace
A well thought out, respectful, masterful, and relatable tribute. You've done superbly, and nailed nearly everything I've ever thought about him.
That goes for me too!
Rest and peace Kevin Conroy you will forever be the one true Batman.
Kevin Conroy was MY Batman. Hell even when I read a Batman comic book I read Batman’s lines in Kevin Conroy’s voice.
RIP always
I literally got chills when you played the part of Kevin sending you the message about how he felt on the animated series
The one true Batman. Kevin Conroy will never be topped and will be missed 😔🙏🏿
Him in young justice really sold me on him being Batman in a similar way to Kevin
Diedrich Bader is also really good but he's like a combination of Kevin and Adam West
@@pickedceasar1216 I agree with you 100% I would add Bruce Greenwood is a good successor to Kevin Conroy while diedrich bader is a good successor to Adam West who also has like you said a touch of Kevin
Whoever did him in the Telltale games was surprisingly excellent.
@@SidNightWalker it was Troy Baker, he voiced the joker in Arkham origins
@@JJsixx_ ahhhhh, I figured it was someone like that because he sounded so familiar. He was really good, not flawless like his Joker but he was clearly invoking Kevin Conroy somewhat. Of course they didn't call it "The Telltale Series" for nothing.
I still miss Kevin I was honoured to meet Kevin in 2017
it makes me sad he’s no longer with us who truly was full of kindness his memory lives on in us
Kevin was born in 1955 not 1978 he will always be my definitive batman rip Kevin💛🖤🦇
That means he lived for 67 years!!
He lived for 66 almost 67 years
@@kristenpaluch9200 Well still he was an old man!!
I get it
If he was born in 1978 he would be 44.
Kevin is undoubtedly the best Batman ever. The fact that he has voiced the Character for decades is a testament to the man himself.
He was and always will be, no questioning that
RIP Kevin Conroy you will be missed you were and still are the best Batman
I think my favorite moment is his appearance on the Daly Show when he went up against Tim Daly reenacting the standoff from TDKR
Finally a well deserved tribute. Was waiting for this video since Kevin's passing. But Kevin wasn't born in 1978 he was in 1955.
I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman.
-Kevin Conroy A.K.A Batman
I’m in tears. What a beautiful video. Thank you Vee. R.I.P Kevin Conroy. ♥️♥️♥️
I honestly just cried a little bit here at work hearing Kevin explain life. THANK U FOR ADDING THAT INTO THIS. It was just PERFECT as a DEDICATION.
It’s so hard to imagine Batman now without Kevin Conroy’s voice going off in my head
My first experience with the character was Heart of Ice, re-run in my country with subtitles, years later. The voice always stuck with me.
Very fitting because that's one of the episodes that defined modern Mr Freeze. I'd also suggest Feet of Clay, for umm... Clayface.
First time I actually grieved the death of someone I never knew
The guy was so intelligent and, artistic too. He didn't get to do much live roles, even though he did 50 million rehearsals for tons of shows...he was an artist. You can tell this in his interviews. He loved to act in general, and he found that one role for him, and he nailed it.
I think my fondest memory was watching tbe episode where batman sang am i blue it was beautiful and its always stuck in my mind
I remember the 1st time I heard him it was in Arkham Asylum and even though he didn't have a lot of dialogue he still managed to make me a stan
I grew up watching that show and Playing the Arkham games. My favorite moments are all the times I watched and played the game
This made me cry well done sir.
Kevin Conroy is THE BEST Batman ever. Seriously, The Darkness, The Humor, Charm, even Emotion. Conroy just Got it all right.
He was so revered that whenever Mark Hamill was asked to do the Joker. One Of the first things he asked was "Is Kevin Voicing batman?"
R.I.P Mr Conroy, We all miss you ❤🦇
The day Kevin died was the day the world lost one of the greatest human beings we will ever see, he was a light to us all as children and adults and he will be missed of generations to come.
Rest in peace Dark Knight, you brought great joy to my childhood.
I am honored to have been a fan. The fact that I was alive for this is just epic in itself. Thank you Kevin Conroy.
I take great comfort in knowing that when watching the best animated Batman content, playing genre defining games, and knowing that so many of us will always hear his voice when we're reading what Batman is saying. He defined Batman in a way that can never truly be replicated. He is truly immortal. The definitive Batman and then some 🦇
Fantastic video, Vee.
Thank you! Ive been commenting on a bunch of your videos because I didnt know why you hadnt made one on Mr. Conroy
If only he played Batman in more direct adaptations like he did for The Killing Joke.
Beautiful man❤️I’ve just found you probably 4/5 months ago and I binge all the Batman videos and spiderman, thank you
My first memories of Kevin conroy’s Batman was Justice league, public enemies, the Batman and the Arkham games
I miss him ❤
The outro was leaving me feeling kinda bad after the news of his passing.
I still can't believe he's gone. 😞
As a boy. My first introduction to Batman was Batman beyond. And there was always something so cool about old Bruce. And then I saw the OG animated series and justice league. He has. And always will be my Batman. From 4 to 27. Rest easy BATMAN
Without having watched the video yet: Yes, he was!
Have you watched it yet, playa?
Thank you Kevin, I grew up watching the animated series. He will always be my Batman. 🦇🦇
