Thank you for this! Ps the wooden spoons Alex creates are amazing. Thumbs up to putting them up on the site. You are wonderful creative beings...thank you for sharing your magic.
You are such a kind person. It's such a joy to watch your videos (compliments also to the cameraman!). A couple of years ago I started to dye too, but then I got very ill and had to stop. I am feeling so grateful and happy to have come across your channel. I wasn't even searching for this subject at all. Such a gift of life :) Thank you so much for the inspiration and enthusiasm. Because of you, I am feeling a longing to start dyeing again. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Lots of liefs and groetjes from Amsterdam
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate these kind of comments. It’s so motivating to hear! Get your dye pot on and wishing you a merry merry Christmas too ❤️❤️
I. Would love a video about dyeing with Safflower, just bought the seeds (along with madder and woad) for a friend of mine who owns land in the burren and homeschools a daughter and son. I look forward to botanical dyeing together
Thanks Sarah !!!! I saw your amazing mermaid tails!! Billy would so love to be a mermaid. I hope we will make it to Hastings before too long .... we miss it a lot 🤍
Thanks so much for this video - perfect timing, as I just bought some fabric which is completely the wrong colour so I have been learning how to naturally dye it. Quick (and maybe silly) question - can I dye fabric in the sink (either porcelain/ceramic or stainless steel)? That is, boil the dye bath in a kitchen pot, then pour it into a sink for the actual dyeing process. This is a one-off project so I don't want to collect pots and pans with nowhere to store them :(
Erm well you could try but you do kind of need a continuous heat source so I’m not sure it would work very well. You could find an old pot in a second hand or charity shop... that’s where I get most of mine 😊
It’s ok to do what ever you feel… I like to have a lot of pots because you will always find a use for them. And some you might want to keep clean for mordanting and maybe you might like to have more than one dye bath on the go at the same time 🥰
Oh my gosh .... it gets harder the more and more dyeing I do 😭. I am so lucky my partner built me a tiny outside kitchen a couple of weeks ago in our little court yard! So we will be doing videos in there soon 🥳 just got some things to buy to get me all set up! If you wanna see what it looks like you can have a look on our house Instagram @chaplinvalentinohouse 🤍🤍🤍
@@billynou love love your house! Lol such a super fan! I’ve been experimenting with natural dying for fun and loving it so far! Do recommend any products with cleaning and what do you use to wash your dyed fabric and also steps to really make the dye stay on the fabric. Look forward to more videos!!
Thank you for sharing all you do. It’s very helpful.! And little Billie is too!
You’re welcome! Bill is the most helpful 😆😅❤️

Ah I just reread your message ... it’s the space that is the issue ..... would maybe just one pot be able to sneak it’s way into your space?
Thanks for your input. Looks like I'll be getting another pot!
yes please sell his spoons. I love your videos!
Great!! Ok haha 😄
About your avocado seeds ~ do you do anything to them first before storing in a jar? I would have thought they'd go mouldy?
I dry them out before I put them in the jar or put them in the freezer 🥑 we’ve got an ebook on dyeing with avocados if you’re interested 😉
Is it ok to have only one or two pots for all dyeing?

How would you clean after your kitchen after dying in it. Love your apartment and style. You’re awesome!
