Super , the education visa is a good entry , if a older person just under 60 years , looking to learn Thai language and be able to travel to Laos and other Asiian nations
Hi, could you please give me more information on Education Visa How do I begin the process . Do I apply in my home country of England, or do I come to Thailand as a tourist and then apply in Thailand Thanks
Also I really want to stay for 4 months but the tourist visa is good for 60 days and then I can renew for another 30? I read that I could renew for another 60 days or is this not true? I was so excited that I bought my ticket but I cancelled since these things popped up :( hopefully I can book again soon, like tomorrow
You can renew a tourist visa for only 30 days. You can ask for more, but that's at the total discretion of the Immigration officer. They have been 60 day extensions in the time of Covid, but they have been warning that they will stop in November.
Hello, according to Ed visa, how many hours in a day that we require to go to school and how many days in a week. I'm planning to go to Thailand on this ED visa, however I don't want to spend too much time at school.
@@thaikru I see. Thanks alot dear. When I go Thailand maybe I'll visit your office. If you guys prepare this kind of visa for foreigner? Anyways, if you have any school you can recommend?
Good information..... love the wry smile when you say "You might end up in jail!" True that the basic legal requirements for a visa have not changed in a long time, however as you observe different Immigration offices may have different requirements at different times. The information given lays out the basic requirements, but states that Immigration Officers may require additional documents or information. Thus a change of staff, or chief at an office can result in a change in requirements, which can be quite quite confusing.
Usually it's not a change in requirements at all. To be fair to the hard working immigration officers, more often than not, it's that one immigration officer could be very relaxed and not require every single document. But then another one might want you to dot every "I" and cross every "t". They generally don't ask you for things that's not on the list unless its a new law and its not clear to everyone in every province as yet. And sometimes the head office changes little things on the list as time goes on and that memo does not go out to every office at the same time. Remember that just like in every single country on earth, it's up to each department to interpret the law that was written.
I think for under 50 if you don't want to work or study and you have the savings the Elite Visa appears to be the only option if your country like Australia doesn't let you out unless you are going for more then 90 days.
Check the Thai consulate website for your country. Basically you need travel insurance, quarantine hotel booking and proof of PCR test. These are the core things. The other stuff is normal - passport and your basic info. You have to go to the official Thailand Certificate Of Entry website - google it and they will tell you what you need to do.
I have been offered a university lecturer position in Thailand. Is the dependent O visa option applicable for my wife and child only or my 60+ mother as well?
hello, thank you for the informations. im interested in ed visa and to study thai language. Does this visa has a minimum requiremen of study hours that we need to complete?
Hello great video! I am in Thailand on a non immigrant o marriage visa for 90 days and would now like to extend for 60 days do you know how many times I can do this ?
To get an Education Visa, do you have to enroll in some sort of formal school? Do you have to be a full time student? Could you come to Thailand and learn the Thai language from a personal tutor and qualify for the Education Visa? Could you qualify by taking any sort of classes you like; for example, once-a-week yoga classes? Just trying to understand how strict or flexible the requirements are. Thank you in advance for your answers.
I’ve applied for Thai elite two weeks back. Waiting for the due diligence to finish before they show me the green light for making payment. Read in the comment sections someone saying that elite visa is a rip off. In my opinion it’s not. It’s not directed towards people who are looking for more than just a residency. I have three more residencies in different parts of the world, and my experience till now is that the elite visa process has been the smoothest. Elite visa isn’t for cheap Charlie’s who want to do business is Thailand by being on a tourist visa or student visa. Sorry folks, those days aren’t coming back.
Thank you for the great info. I am an American. Is it possible to enter Thailand with a Tourist Visa (60) get the 30-day extension for a total of 90 days, THEN leave, return a week later and again stay for up to 90 days, and keep repeating this process? Or are foreigners limited to 90 days a year on a Tourist Visa?
Yes. But these days there are a limit to the number of times per year you can do that. Check your local embassy to find out what is the limit for your country.
I am interested in the Student Visa, but I guess schools are closed due to covid now. Spending money on Zoom lessons seems a bit of a waste, and why come to the country when you can attend from your own country with Zoom?
Schools will re-open in maybe a couple of months. So now is a good time to contact some of them and start making preparations. Do your research, get your money together and wait for when they reopen so you can immediately strike!! Don't sit and home and do nothing!
It's a 2000 Baht fee for any tourists to enter now? Wow! That's a lot. When I came early 2020 it was free for 30 days. That has definitely changed then.
The visa on arrival is still available and open right now. We have quite a lot of people from this channel who entered on it recently. Thailand is still open and has always been since last year. There are no restrictions on coming - so long as you do the covid test and quarantine. No one is even forcing anyone to take the vaccine. You can still come to Thailand without having to do that.
Yes it is. Especially when you consider how much better value it is to live in other countries in the region. It certainly appeals to snobs and narcissists with too much money though
@@thaikru That's not what I'm saying at all. I have worked hard and could buy that visa - but I wouldn't. It's in the marketing of it as "Elite" meaning you're somebody better than others. It appeals to a certain type of person. I admit, it's very clever really since snobs are narcissists will happily pay a very high price if the think it's makes them superior to everyone else.
