Very simple. He’s not human. 🤣 All jokes aside I love VoicePlay. They are just so good and their rendition of songs are great. I prefer them to Pentatonix. My sister loves Pentatonix so that’s how I heard of them and liked their earlier stuff but ever since they became famous they changed. Their earlier stuff was better in my own opinion. VoicePlay on the other hand hasn’t changed their style and that’s what makes them so great.
That why that Voiceplay will permanently keep him forever. He is everything and the core of Voiceplay.

I think I could expect this song acapella, since it's originally styled as Hassidic/cantor-like (unaccompanied) singing - but barely in modern style acapella. And I agree with the rest.

Holy crap, I've never heard of this lovely lady before but that riff at 2:53 was absolutely insane. I don't know if people reading this know how hard it is to riff UP like that but it is not easy, and she didn't JUST riff up. Like, it's obviously impressive when you listen to it but WOW!

I don't think that's the most appropriate expression for this particular song xD xD
takes alot of practice and pain but with the right voice you can hit those notes too. im not a professional in any way but i have been practicing all kinds of notes throughout my life and whenever i try to nail geoffs notes my vocal chords feel like they want to give up life. i can do about 20-30 minutes of those notes and my throat gets too tight to barely even speak normally.
Every single time I turn this video on, the second she hears Geoff, my 7 month old daughter stops anything she's doing and watches the entire video. She doesn't do that with any other song/show/artist. She freaking loves this song and you guys!

those vocal chords hurt like a mfer, i can come somewhat close to his low notes but after a while of trying my throat tightens up so much i can barely speak. practice makes perfect but im my case it makes me wanna cry outta pain lmao.

@@barnabasjthomas9983 This is my first time hearing her so I don't know how much auto-tuning she needs. The group uses it, yes, but the adjustments aren't large, generally. Would they feature a singer that required large adjustments for solo and part harmony? Maybe, but I doubt it.
@@barnabasjthomas9983 There's a vocal effect on her voice a time or two, but I'm hearing a deliberate effect - not autotune/pitch correction. It's like the reverb on Geoff's voice at 1:16. Pretty sure he can't make his voice suddenly sound like it's echoing in a cave, ha. They're creative choices, not correcting errors.
I’m listening on repeat, I just loooove Ashley's energy and smile, and of course, Geoff's bass voice, which never misses to give me goosebumps ❤

One of the things I just realized that I love so much about Voiceplay is that they have lots of flavor and solos and breaks, but they still retain the fun and essence of the original song. That's not an easy thing, but they do it every time.
My mom is a lifetime fan of acapella, but sadly she is also looking to slough this mortal coil.
Your timing on releasing this is all but perfect as it allows me to give her a parting gift before she leaves.

I've got to say, I'm so glad that Cesar is part of Voiceplay now. This video is a perfect illustration of how he's the kind of guy that makes everybody want to smile and laugh just by having a smile on his own face, and I'm so excited that we get to see more of that. Also, his voice is beautiful, and I hope they come out with a piece or two that has him leading the singing, just to show off his amazing talent.
I'm so happy that he has been with VP these last 2 years... and even happier that he is going to be with VP for a while longer, too!

I am certain that if someone who didn't regularly listen to voiceplay heard this, they wouldn't realize that at 3:23 the whole line is just geoff. I think the listener would think the song went like this

this was an overcomplicated way of saying that Geoff has got amazing vocal range.
Drops like that are far easier than jumps. It's how high he goes first that is truly impressive for a bass.
This is a stellar arrangement and performance!!! The harmonies from Ashley, Eli and Cesar are phenomenal. Layne's beatboxing is...inhuman as usual. Just...how?! Geoff killed it on the lead, and that bassline during the breakdown 👏 Cesar and Eli crushing it! And Ashley, woo girl! Incredible! Loved every minute of this, and it's going to be stuck in my head for the next 10,000 years! 💗

Wow. What a beautiful showcase of talent.
I adore the original for ages, Gwen's version was good, but this is the best cover I could ask for. I want to thank UA-cam for the "loop" option as that's how I spent last days, listening to this over and over. I want to point out so many parts. Like the little but easily recognizable Cesar's "bing" sound at 0:14, Layne singing in general, but esp. his beatboxing going "up" and "down" at the same moment as Ashley sings (0:37-0:39). Talking about Ashley, she's absolutely phenomenal! Her part is really jaw droping, I love how all guys just stand around her speechless for a second, as that was my reaction as well. Geoff's "Please" caught me of guard, love it. Layne did such an amazing job again with the arrangment, I don't think we talk about that enough!! And I love Layne's little smile in the background when Geoff did his run in full range. He knoooows. I feel weird saying it, but Eli's "Yidle-didle" parts are the clearest out there, I don't know how to better desribe it. And Cesar!! Oh wow! Congratulations to your first official song as a member of the VoicePlay ❤️ you blend in absolutely perfectly. Simply said, I love it. I recently found Voice Play this year and this is by far my favorite of theirs. I love them all but this once tops it. It helps the Geoff has a lot of solo’s in this. Geoff is my favorite but they are all great.
Layne… this arrangement! It showed off everyone’s voices so well! And even though this song has the capacity to feel repetitive, you varied it enough at the refrains to make it feel fresh and new right up to the end. Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I've probably listened to this about 20 times now and the run that Ashley starts at the 2:52 mark gives me chills every time I hear it. It is the most spot on, pitch perfect, captivating run that i have ever heard in my life. I am amazed by her.
