I read the actual comic after watching this video and the line that really stuck to me was when Able said, "The Jedi are... gone? But they were our generals." Like he just sounds so sad :(
I don't think it was just an urge more like altered memories of the Jedi being cruel and non empathetic to the clones. To them it was as if they just woke up out of an illusion/mind trick

We see from Commander Cody’s perspective, as well as a few other clones, that they just feel guilt for “making those decisions” even though they weren’t in control of their action the clones that followed order 66 still feel guilty for choosing to follow orders instead of thinking for themselves, which I think is all the more sadder bc now you have like war vets who regret their actions and it’s not even their fault.
Also you would assume they would call for rescue if he had any form of communication. He wouldn’t have received the order since he had no communication device.
Order 66 is not some obscure order hidden inside the chips only Sidious knew about. It's public information for the GAR alongside other contingencies to not rouse any suspicion. Because so many other contingencies exist it was deemed reasonable. The Jedi knew Order 66 was a thing. So when Able hears about Order 66 he'd more likely just go "oh so the chancellor used that"
so when he heard about order 66, it didn't trigger anything. to me, this says that any of those orders had to come from the emperor, and be authenticated somehow by the inhibitor chip for them to work. a subsonic key to decrypt the order, or something like that.

I find it kind of heartwarming that there are stories of Clones surviving until the Galactic Civil War. As far as I know, clones in our world tend to have diminished lifespans, but Clone Troopers seem to be pretty long lived if Able, Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor are any indication.

While I also had many a scrape in being separated from my brothers Able was completely alone with no one and nothing to talk to and no way to send an SOS. Id imagine his joy at the sight of a 'Z-95' only to see some PDF or Mercenarys. Then to have a company of Soldiers fight the first group and they are in armor and it looks like your phase 1 armor so with joy you suit up and join what you think to be your Brothers expecting a second of pause and some removing of helmets along with three cheers and cries of victory to welcome you back home. Only to have that shattered by being fired upone and the thought of 'WHY WHY! WHY!! WHY!!! after so long WHY are MY BROTHERS shooting at ME'.'Maybe...Maybe that first group can answer my questions'.
Able appears to be the “showtime” clones. The ones who were the first million, truly loyal to Jedi as the showcase of the Caminoan product. Then clones became standard chipped and then they smacked Jedi like anyone else, while the first million was already out of duty.
I'm really enjoying your content. I havent seen these comics covered on the other main channels. Its refreshing and very well narrated, scripted and edited.
As a kid when i read this i was originally freaking out, thinking the clone was Sev from the Republic commando series. Always thought it was a cool backstory and my first step towards seeing clones as more human
He appears a couple more times in the Empire and Rebellion story's by Dark Horse Comics. He served as a Rebel Commando and then later he encountered ancient Jedi Celeste Morne which was his last appearance as she turned him into a space zombie basically

SF1, I gotta say it’s truly amazing how you’re covering all these canon comics, I’ve only mainly read all the marvel ones as I can’t be bothered reading the ones from IDW publishing as I don’t see them as important. Really good to get an insight on these. Keep up the great work!
This was my first Star Wars comic book ever. It was given to me by my Aunt for a present when the only thing she knew about what I liked was "anything Star Wars" as my parents put it.
Able's story is sad. Not only did he get stranded on a planet for 20 years and lost his squad, but he would eventually end up being transformed into a Rakghoul. (Honestly want to see a video on that if it hasn't been done already.)
To those people wondering why he didn't do anything weird when he heard about order 66, it has to be directly from the emperor to work on the clones. Imagine if a clone orders a number 3 in some random restaurant only to be called "order 66" then suddenly loses it and murders the closest Jedi... No it doesn't work that way.
He's like me in the original Battlefront 1 and 2 when my team has been wiped out and I'm frantically running around trying to secure the command posts by myself.
Wow, it is weird to think that it was only about twenty years between the start of the Clone Wars, and around the start of A New Hope. How does an entire galaxy change that much in twenty years?!
From what I remember when the Clones were dispatched for the war the average would be like 10 years old meaning they would be 20, if he was there for like 20-25 years then at best he would be like 30-35 or 60-70 years old.
There should be a comic series called star wars after math, and it should focus on what happen to clones after the war or people, just a comic like this to bring the prequel and original trilogy together
He reminds me of the Japanese soldiers who were isolated from the rest of the world in the jungles for years until the lead officer turned himself in and surrendered on a beach in 1978 prior to this over the years and decades the soldiers kept on still fighting world war two in the jungle and even killed people

this story was in a collection of star-wars one-shots that was in my school library. Able's one of my favs to this day.

Phase I clone trooper armor has always been my favorite.
This clone is a true soldier who still served by a Jedi he didn’t after the war still ended all those years ago

He’s been on that world for 24 to 25 years, based on the time line, meaning Able is 26 years old and with an accelerated age of 45 to 50 years old

Why would he be "oddly" familiar with a weapon he grew up using. Nothing odd about being familiar with the weapon you trained with.
