Bisexual and biromantic means sexual or romantic attraction to two or more genders.
The bisexual flag was created in 1998 by Michael Page, to represent the bi community at pride parades.
He selected the colors and pattern based off the bi angles symbol.
The flag was intended to help differentiate the bi community from gay community, and help bring about a sense of pride
It consists of a pink stripe on top, purple stripe in the middle, and blue stripe on the bottom, in a 40-20-40% ratio.
Pink represents attraction to those of the same gender identity, purple represents attraction to two or more genders, and blue represents an attraction to those of a different gender.
Page wanted to increase the visibility of bisexuals in society and the LGBTQ+ community.
The flag was unveiled on December 5, 1998.
I love that the flag was created in 1998 that is my birthyear
Same Yo!🤘
COOL! :)
I always though that pink meant girl purple meant other and blue meant boy💀
THANK YOU I needed a little clarification on the color meaning!
I-I’m bi💓💜💙

You are wonderful. Thank you for creating this content!
Can you do the mlm pride flag (you know, the actual gay male flag)? People seem to forget that...the rainbow is the community as a whole, not just 'the gay pride flag'. And besides...I like the mlm flag.
I'll put it on the list! That sucks that there are some people that think the rainbow flag is just for gay males. Luckily though I think most people recognize that it is for the whole LGBTQ+ community.
I hope so too, and thank you! It really is a nice flag!
That's really cool
Pansexual, trans, and polyamory next!!
Da hell is Polly mean
@@thereisacatnexttothisname9388 Polyamory means that you can be attracted to multiple people, like, you could be in a romantic relationship with one or more people involved as long as all parties consent
I’m really sorry if that was a bad explanation! I’m not very good at explaining
I'm older than the bi pride flag by like 8 months! Neat!
Can you please do Pansexual?
I’d like to see the history of the non-binary flag and the Demi-girl, Demi-boy, etc flags.
There are some good information about the flag thank you for telling me that 😊👍👍
Didn’t know it was invented by a man named Michael

I thought bisexual was a attraction to male and female. And pan was for ALL genders. I think you may be wrong
This is actually a common misconception that bi activists have been fighting for decades. Pan was actually a response to the perceived limits of the definition bisexual, but like I mentioned, it is a misconception. There are a lot of good articles on the web regarding this if you do a search for it, but the common agreement is that bisexual has always (and especially more today) meant attraction to two or more genders. Poly means attraction to many, and pan means attraction to all. They are small differences, but are all unique. That said, if someone feels that pan more closely represents them than bi, absolutely go for it, but bisexual is not a transphobic or limiting label. In addition, bi could mean attraction to non-binary individuals and female individuals, but not others. All in all to say that no, bisexual does not mean only attraction to males and females. Hope that explanation helps!
@@letsflybutterfly yes thank you you said that perfectly
Bi implies a binary system. Male and female. I am bi, but these people have gone crazy.
Can you do Pansexual
Wow I didn’t know this
Pan next
so purple is pan?
No. Purple is bi.
