One of the most soul crushing endings in film. It really reminds me of First Blood. The last 5 minutes changes the whole film.
The reactors went through a lot so they would appreciate if you went to their channel and watch their videos. It can be any video, it doesn't have to be The Mist.

This movie will always be one of my favs, because this ending is so far beyond what you expect. That scream at the end will forever be etched into my memory. When you reach that level of shock and pain, it's the only thing your body is able to do. You produce no tears, no punching or kicking or thrashing. All you can do is scream out in agony. Thomas Jane was fucking incredible in this moment, to portray that level of emotion is hard to come by and he absolutely nailed it.
In one of the superman movies, when he's forced to kill Zod, you hear him scream in the same way. From what I've read, it's also what a lot of soldiers describe happening on the battlefield. I believe it was WW2 where soldiers were instructed to wait until tanks passed over their trench to let out whatever emotional cry they needed to let out, so that it would be masked by the roaring of the tank and not heard by your fellow soldiers or the enemy.

@@SilentXFoxX71 I remember watching Requiem for a Dream, thinking it was the best movie ever, but when I got out, my American friend told me he hated the movie. Why? Because it was too real for him, especially the scene where Sara talks about why should she even do the dishes. He doesn't go to movies to be depressed, he only goes to movies to be happy.
This is why we don't have more movies or shows with dark endings. People turn on them. They want the people they identify with to win! Look at GOT, look at HIMYM, look at Mother!... all were panned, all were ridiculed, all had their fanbases turn on the showrunners or director with a vengeance. People even turned on this movie when it came out. More than half the people hated it! Only with time did it get the recognition it deserves.
