My top 5 has stayed pretty consistent, but I’d say they’d be Evermore as my favorite (This album changed my life forever and it will always hold a special spot in my heart) Speak Now as second favorite (most nostalgic for me, it was my first Taylor album I bought for myself) Red as my third favorite album (used to get made fun of for liking her during this era, so I’ve revisited Red as an adult and have fallen in love with it) Reputation is my fourth favorite (I was a huge swiftie during the Rep era and was defending her everywhere I went) 1989 is my fifth favorite album (I was 15 when this released and it made me so cheery and was part of the reason high school sucked less)

Innocent is really a masterpiece song - people hate on it because of who it’s about…first time I heard it, I had no idea who it was about. Still one of my favorites

Hi Nena, nice video again. Count me in on "say don't go" being the best vault track for 1989 TV. I recently got into the vinyl buying and I had to learn that I can only listen to a complete side of the record and always in order. At first, it seemed to be a negative, but now I really enjoy to not being able to skip or just listen to one song.

Its so hard to rank albums when they all mean so much in different ways! Some songs on albums that aren't in my top 5, are in my top fave songs! I swear, ranking albums is so hard because as you said, people progress and learn along the way so things change, songwriting change, production changes. I really have a soft spot for speak now too. 14 years ago, my friend lend me her speak now CD and that's literally the first CD I've ever listened to and my first impression of Taylor. Played that CD for so many times during my junior high. But sadly I wasn't able to get to know Taylor that much since. During my undergrad, I check billboard weekly, blank space and shake it off was top tiers every week. I became a true Swiftie from last year when I found out that there's eras tour (sry for blanking out for so many years🥲) and I saw she announced the sntv. Started to check all the albums and songs I've missed and she's the reason why I started to learn guitar. I'm so proud to be a Swiftie and it's just so hard for me to rank the albums because I just love those so much.
Mean was the first taylor song i fully discovered! i was like 4 or 5, and i think red came out when i was 6, i was super young but those 2 albums have been some of my favorite albums and has my favorite songs because it was the first i ever listened to!
I think ranking would have been fine! There’s a lot of personal preference that goes into it, like you mentioned even the subjective experience of one person can make you relate/appreciate more one thing or another. You’re absolutely right! Midnights freaking deserves to be up there! All those genius double sided songs that can have a happy or very sad meaning depending how you interpret the lyrics example: all of lavender haze, sweet nothing or snow on the beach 🥺 it’s confused, it’s vague-murky-emotional rollercoaster dark and glittery I love it! You’re on your own kid one of my fav songs ever!~ really great writing on this album even if super pop isn’t really my fav vibe (I prefer the more acoustic sounding toned down songs) ahhh just give me all the sad songs to play on my guitar and cry to! I also didn't expect me to like it THAT much at some point, but it truly grew on me, and currently belongs among my top 5 Taylor albums🦋 I'm also pretty sure that TTPD will be among my top 5 or even top 3 because I just love everything so far - the aesthetic, the sadness, the title track names, the high probability of gut-wrenching lyrics... ♡ My current ranking looks like this: 1. evermore (first album of Taylor that I fell in love with, listened to it start to end and literally only evermore for a whole year -- champagne problems has been my top song for three years now)🤎 2. folklore (was recommended to me by a friend after I told her that the only TS album I listen to and am obsessed with was evermore... I really have a soft spot for speak now too. 14 years ago, my friend lend me her speak now CD and that's literally the first CD I've ever listened to and my first impression of Taylor. Played that CD for so many times during my junior high. But sadly I wasn't able to get to know Taylor that much since. During my undergrad, I check billboard weekly, blank space and shake it off was top tiers every week. I became a true Swiftie from last year when I found out that there's eras tour (sry for blanking out for so many years🥲) and I saw she announced the sntv. Started to check all the albums and songs I've missed and she's the reason why I started to learn guitar. I'm so proud to be a Swiftie and it's just so hard for me to rank the albums because I just love those so much.

There’s a lot of personal preference that goes into it, like you mentioned even the subjective experience of one person can make you relate/appreciate more one thing or another. You’re absolutely right! Midnights freaking deserves to be up there! All those genius double sided songs that can have a happy or very sad meaning depending how you interpret the lyrics example: all of lavender haze, sweet nothing or snow on the beach 🥺 it’s confused, it’s vague-murky-emotional rollercoaster dark and glittery I love it! You’re on your own kid one of my fav songs ever!~ really great writing on this album even if super pop isn’t really my fav vibe (I prefer the more acoustic sounding toned down songs) ahhh just give me all the sad songs to play on my guitar and cry to! Can’t wait until poets!!!! I have a feeling it’s my vibe too!!! ❤❤❤
Everything you said about Midnights resonated A LOT with my feelings! I also didn't expect me to like it THAT much at some point, but it truly grew on me, and currently belongs among my top 5 Taylor albums🦋 I'm also pretty sure that TTPD will be among my top 5 or even top 3 because I just love everything so far - the aesthetic, the sadness, the title track names, the high probability of gut-wrenching lyrics... ♡

1. evermore (first album of Taylor that I fell in love with, listened to it start to end and literally only evermore for a whole year -- champagne problems has been my top song for three years now)🤎
2. folklore (was recommended to me by a friend after I told her that the only TS album I listen to and am obsessed with was evermore... Actually, folklore matches my personality the best. But I could never dethrone evermore :')-- I loveee the lakes)🤍
3. speak now (I'm a romantic too, I love to journal, I love the fact that Taylor wrote the whole album herself -- I'm obsessed with Castles Crumbling and Electric Touch)💜

Midnights (the first album release I witnessed as a fan, I wasn't sure how to feel about it at first, but the album grew on me a loot since its publication, and definitely always puts me in a good mood -- although I still gravitate toward the sad songs, The Great War and Would've, Could've, Should've are superb)💙
