- just a update video on the 6x9, i'm using a JBL GTO752 amp with these speakers now. They sound amazing with these.
Recorded this with my galaxy note 5 for anyone interested.

Nice channel and a good setup! Wish I could get 6x9's except the parcel shelf on my Clio is a little bit too small... how's your Vibe subwoofer btw? I'm about to purchase one myself except I've seen a few reviews that said the bass isn't overpowering enough compared to Edge, you said your brother has one... what's your personal opinion? You've earned a subscriber btw
+JAMOnffc thank you for this comment it has actually made my day. The vibe subwoofer has only gotten better the more I use it and as for the edge one it's still thumping along nicely after 2 years(might even do a video on it at some point) but I'd go with the Vibe one over the edge one. The vibe just keeps giving and giving the more it's used but the edge has gotten to a point where it can't be cranked up anymore without it distorting. Everyone who gets in my car has the biggest smile on their face and if I'm honest when certain songs come on when it's just me in the car, the hairs on my arm stand up. Also you'll be surprised what 6x9 speakers will fit in. We had a Peugeot 107 and we actually had these speakers in the parcel shelf for the 2 months we had the car... If you want to know how tiny the shelf is in them just google it. I'd suggest going to a scrap yard and pick up a spare shelf then that way it doesn't matter if you screw it up.

That's good to hear, might purchase the Vibe sub then thank you! £129 on ebay currently including wiring, might purchase another amp to go with it. The speakers are nice too, it's funny me and my brother are into our audio like you and your brother! He had 6x9 vibe black air, he's about to get the black death 6x9s and a Sony 1000 watt 4 channel amp to power his system so pretty similar to yours. It can sure get expensive but it's a long term investment! Good choice of car too I'd love to get a Golf as my next car... yeah the Edge 12 inch sub we have is exactly as you described, can still kick just not as clearly as it once could. Yeah that's a good idea actually I'll be sure to look into it thanks a lot man!
JAMOnffc ah you're welcome. my brother just got a mk5 golf GTD but the only issue he's had sound system wise is the panels and bits of trim rattling when the subs turned up. he also wants his JBL speakers back out of my car and in his (I got them for him for Christmas but secretly they were for me 😂) I'm looking at getting the one up from these 6x9 and also changing the front door speakers and tweeter because they suck. vibe is definitely a good choice or have a look on Amazon at the JBL subs. I'd imagine they will sound amazing and I really want one to try out.
TJ Tech Ahh nice! You'll get that issue with just about any car you buy, the only solution really is to take the panels off completely but that makes your car look cheap (although improves weight...🤔) yeah change the speakers in the doors, I got a set of pioneers for the front and back (RMS 50 watts, peak 300 per two speakers) and I kind of regret spending that much because it doesn't make much difference unless you're planning on amplifying them. Save yourself the money and get some FLI's for like £15 from Halfords it does about the same job and the bass is actually a bit stronger but they won't go as loud. It's a shame there's no speaker/sub place that actually let's you try out their systems first hand so you can compare 😭there's a gap in the market for you there 😉
JAMOnffc I have a pair of jbl coaxial speakers that I had bought to put in my 206 when I had that... after selling the car I kept all the speakers I put in it. they are actually really good speakers at 75 watts each. I'll probably dig them out and amp them up for the front.

What would recommend. I do t want a subwoofer but I wouldn't mind good speckers with a amp.

The JBL speakers are a combination of bass and clarity.. depending on the amp you get and the head unit. If you want cheap bass..get Kickers
