I've not tried milk paint but I see a lot of flippers who really like it. This turned out lovely
love how it turned out, the chippy is awesome
This was a nice save. The top looked like it had been replaced and didn't match the vintage base. It now has a cohesive look with the stained top and painted base. Your hard work paid off.

I wasn’t a fan of the milk paint finish, but like it much better after the balm application. This piece turned out very pretty.

Chippy is not my favorite, but when you put the wax on it changed the look and I like the piece.

Love how this came out!! I love the chippy with milk paint. I have seen people use the heat gun to try and force some of the chippy if it's not chipping and I've tried it myself, it can force chipping if that's what you are looking for. Love that color too!!

I love how this one turned out! I've not used milk paint but I may give it a try because you, again, make it look so easy. I have the hemp oil, is the balm different from that?
Thanks Michelle! The balm is a little different. I would put the balm more in a “wax” category as you can wipe it back right away. Where the hemp oil has to sit for a period of time to soak in.

Just recently Mary from White Cottage Company made her own milk paint. I thought it was called that because it was the consistency of milk. Would ants be attracted to this paint? The piece looks handmade. Great job making it look great.
Thanks Adriana! It’s made of milk protein, lime, earth pigments and clay fillers. I don’t think you would have any issues with ants if you were to use it.
Our milk paint is made with casein, a milk protein, when dry it is naturally anti bacterial. Ants shouldn’t be attracted to it!
Looked like that was made out of solid wood. Did you ever consider not painting it
I left the top and inside wood. Just because it’s solid wood doesn’t mean it has to be stained. Paint can always be removed in the future if that’s the next owners preference. Thanks for watching!
