I was a special agent, series 1810 (general investigator) with what is now the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, DCSA. No weapons on this job and no powers of arrest. I conducted federal personnel background investigation s, occasional counterintelligence investigations related to federal employment and even what would be called internal affairs investigations of federal and contract investigators. Worked mostly M-F during normal work hours. Promotional capability thru GS-12 step 10. Great federal job. I had DEA 1811s who were tired of working criminal investigations all hours of the day and night if we had any openings. This agency has quite a few less agents than mist 1811 agencies. When I started it was known as the Defense Security Service and had only about 2000 agents across the country. DCSA is bigger now with more employees. Think about this as an alternative to 1811.
Literally, I just want to get into a job kicking in doors so that the actual investigators can do theirs. I'm not a desk type. I never have been in all my crazy endeavors in the past.

That is typically the case. A new Deputy US Marshal will need to successfully complete a 3-year deputy development program before they are eligible to transfer or join a task force.
Deputy US Marshals are hired at either the GL-0082-07 or GL-0082-09 level. After successfully completing a year at the 0082-09 level they can promote to the GS-1811-11 level and then to the GS-1811-12 level.
It's always a good idea to contact a recruiter though. They are very helpful and are a wealth of information.

We're not sure what you mean about how much power they have. Each level of law enforcement (local, state, federal, etc.) has different functions, authority and missions. We could probably put together a video regarding that. That's a great idea. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Depends on many factors, impossible to tell. It depends on experience, education, years in the job etc.
FBI starts agents at GS-10. You also get LEAP and locality pay. Total it ends up being around 80k per year starting out.

You'd think we wouldn't get to hear about the secret service as a team of people because of the name alone, it sounds like maybe the FBI is that of a secret service that defend the most severe cases of problems but the secret service is apparently its own group like the rest of them but the question sounds like, how did we ever find out that name of this group if its supposed to be kept a secret? lmao
You'd think it's weird that the FCC although has footage of the Nazi's time period going on where the moments of Adolf Hitler was happening but you couldn't by the FCC's laws modify those tapes for your own content, you could use the footage and audio, but to mess with the audio and the film ina certain way where its not what actually happened and your spoofing the footage and audio into something funny is what they condone the ability to do.
We know that the segregation is over and that slavery is no longer black peoples issues almost globally, but there is people working for a town sized portion of a community who are making slaves of their own be that of prositutes, drug dealers, scammers of the web and terrorism spreading groups of evil people that threaten the US's safety as well as the other countries safety in regards to past history with them that us regular people are not fully educated about knowing well enough to understand why muslims from India want to scam other countries of their money and why it is that they'll use that money someday to prepare their next moves of suicide bomber groups, kidnapped people who were threatened saying you will be killed if you don't work for us as your kidnappers that are going to make you kill innocent people that don't realize that their spreading hatred and crimes like ISIS and people would like to believe that random groups of terrorists that are not very well learned about for a long period of time are probably just that of people that want purely to kill others, cause crimes, explode buildings, cause terrorism and though there could be actually more to the story but they may feel like that we don't need to know why their doing this as they may be made to believe we have no idea but that we've ruined their lives from when they lived happily with others and we can just keep on assuming they have no reason at all to cause crimes, but do so anyways when even though the situation can be handled a lot better getting to know why they hate whoever they hate and for whatever reasons if they were obtained by police and told, your isolated under our control, let your anger go, tell us what your problem is and sadly then enjoy time in jail because we'll have documentations put up about whats going on, what current day problems are there and why are they here, so they'll feel maddened to be arrested but they'll be upset as well that we didn't learn to treat them better or their nation, people, societies better and they probably just can't talk about it all at once as to what they're problem is with us due to explaining that it may be a few days to talk about why they hate anyone and for whatever reason.
