I love what Mike Pondsmith did. He combined the old west company towns, the story of vegas, and some (somewhat accurate) ideas about where society and technology was headed, even some superhero stuff (especially Batman), and made an RPG out of it all. Total legend.
Seriously. I am in awe of what he has been able to accomplish!! It truly is an under appreciated world - even though it is getting some love. On the wider scale of things, the world of Cyberpunk to me is as good if not better than a lot of what is out there currently.

True. I don’t play games often, but something made cyberpunk very interesting. I played a few days almost all my waking hours. The characters and the city feel alive. RTX Overdrive and the proper HDR settings will lock you into the game, I wasn’t controlling V.. I WAS V.
Dude, I could listen to you talking about Cyberpunk, Night City and everything else really for hours. Your videos are always done extremely well and keep pulling me back into NC despite me really needing a break!

This game is like a spiritual successor to the Red Dead games. In those games, the bad guys beat the good guys because the bad guys had structure, protocol, government, chains of command, departments, all of it. Now, those bad guys have built their perfect world. Where the good guys have next to nothing, while they continue to consume and consume and consume. The luxury they live in is unbelievable. Wow every point in NC's development feels super familiar. It's like each change is just the worst possible version of what the negative outcome would be in the real world. Cyberpunk is the most fascinating lore as you don't need to suspend belief very much at all to see an alternate timeline where this is reality. Fallout is incredible but you really need to force a timeline where that's possible. This is much closer to genuine human traits and things our cultures would back and get behind.

WHO WANTS TO PLAY IN NIGHT CITY WHEN YOU CAN PLAY IN THE IMPERIAL CITY OR MAYBE VIVEC CITY WHERE ITS NOT DEPRESSING
Night City, a place where fortunes are won, legends are made, and lives are destroyed.
A glorious place for those with sheer ambition, a hell for those who just want to exist
AND IMPERIAL CITY IS, A HUGE PLACE WHERE LEGENDS ARE MADE AND WITH TONS OF BUILDINGS AND A BEAUTIFUL PLACE

it’s always a good day when wisefish drops a video 🥳
Excellent video. Bravo. Really appreciate and enjoy your videos exploring the background and lore of the Cyberpunk universe.
Jeez, this is sounding like Canada... there's no middle class anymore, you either are rich and can live or you're completely screwed....
This is nothing like Canada, our Canadians are ruled by a soyboy that is Fidel Castro's son.
Night city isn't so bad, they don't have medical assistance in dying... if they did... imagine how much trauma team would charge.
Damn poor people in Canada is crazyyyy. Y’all mind as well just come to America and be poor here where it’s expected of us.
