I really enjoy your videos. I am slowing learning the terminology that you use. I remember when you first got squirrel man! He’s a friendly sort, indeed.
Glad you like them! I will try and keep them coming on a regular bais
Squirrel Man to get the video rolling !
Man it is a scorcher here today. Like 95 out. I did not realize how brutal the dump really is....till I took a few weeks off. Digging all day out on the river is a cake walk compared to holes in the rock hard dump soil.
Was this a random hole that you decided to dig? How does one decide to start digging in an area to look for points?
Walking the shore and finding points and flakes. Then pushing a probe into the bank to find the fire pits. It takes some time man. This is complex kind of.....not most of it. The digging is complex. You have to be smart about the digging....to find the artifacts.
Killer knife!!! I guess that’s river cobble the green stuff? So I guess you’re digging into the high bank there?
Well. That I am not sure. I have been finding that Brush Creek in big cores. And some of it starts to turn green....like this.....not the green ansd red stuff....but like this stuff...kinda translucent,.,,,and kind of eye appealing and nice. There has to be another source of it too.....multiple others mines. Because I am not close to Brush Creek or Crooksville
I have found chunks of it the size of a basketball. So they were 100% mining it from a layer or boulders of it in a stream. Close to where I am digging. Id say within a few miles.
@@rockscousteau that’s crazy!! Another guy I watch shows where they mined it from a stream bed it’s so cool to see it spawled off the actual outcropping of the source in an ancient stream bed!!!! Insane and he finds bunches of artifacts in and along the stream!
I have some crystel necklace rose quarts i found a white firetruck im buying it scott
Hey bro, awesome finds! Would the knives have had a handle on them, and if so, how were they attached?
,
Some of them were. I think those weird one were inserted into a slit in a bone handle. Along the ground area. The ground area...being ground would attach to the pine tar resin used to hold it in
Bad ass as I gets
Very cool finds , squirrel man looks great
I'm here Rocks; Rocks you're the luckiest Guy in the world my friend 👍😃👋 Rocks I had to go to town im back now 👍😃👋
Actually, is isn't luck at all.
*decades of research, in books & in the field.
*persistent & consistent.
*physically fit by putting in years of regular working out "on the job".
*dedicated, driven, and responsible toward building this channel.
*Again, daily deliberately putting in the effort with a fundamentally sound method.
Much more, I'm sure, but not "luck" at all.
He just gets it done. 👍
Coffeehunter87 I wish I could do what Rocks Cousteau does you know? Rocks works Extremely HARD to find what he finds and I can and do APPRECIATE HIS HARD WORK. 👍😃
That knife is a masterpiece of workmanship, Rocks. Very good find, indeed!❤
Yea. [Imagine one like 7 or 8 inches made like that. It could be there. It is hard to tell what will come out when I get back in those sand layers raking with the claw rake. It is the same principle for arrowheads raking....as marbles. The flint "Pops" on the sand. I get the ramp going just like I do for marbles. ONLY I sift the backfill. I dont in the dump.
I should have stayed longer....but I am whipped. I found that knife and just went home. Ill go back and continue tomorrow. Something INSANE is going to come out of there
now that's a bad ass knife Rocks,SummerSlam is comen up fast a few more days lol, copying someone is the most sincere form of flattery most of all gotta give the master the credit though when ya don't do that you get the Blue Scumbelly Award, roll out the chicken shit carpet boys n come n get you some.
✌️@ltr.
I bet if you got a box, an put some clean dry sand in it, Squirrel Man would have a blast rolling around in it. Killer knife !! I'm so glad your an honest guy, it shows in all the hard work you put into theses videos & telling people just how you do it An what signs to look for. But its disheartening an a darn shame to know that theres lots of bad people out there now days, that take such advantage of good people. Hope you where able to clear things up, maybe those people will leave you be for a long while. :~)
Oh Squirrel man will get in the cat litter. LOL He goes nuts and throws it all over the place
