Yes... It's kinda clickbait. But remember, whp and hp are 2 very different things!
Great video explaining the part and why its needed/used. This is very helpful for me as I have a 2018 wrx and am fairly new to the wrx platform and engine.
I hope you’re running the flex fuel kit, my build got me 290.5 to the wheels on 93. Cobb big sf, Cobb catted j-pipe, tgv/egr deletes. Process west verticooler, Iag aos. Ets extreme catback, Cobb boast controller, koyorad radiator. Tuned up at kinetic motorworks in hampstead NH. Make sure you get a walnut blast
290 to the wheels? I got 323 whp. Running Cobb charge pipe, Cobb sf intake, grimmspeed ebc, Cobb turbo inlet, iag AOS, turbo depo catted j pipe, unknown catback, and stock top mount. On a 2016 WRX. Not bad but gonna change to a Cobb ebc, Cobb tmic and the FP blue turbo
That's awesome! Good luck with the tune i cait to see what you pull
I dont think your doing 400hp on the stock block regardless of mods. I mean you can do it but it'll blow. 350 is the edge according to most on ethanol and full bolt on but its still touchy. Good luck with your build tho
Edit: didnt realize you ment crank, nvm yeah thats a good goal, I'm aiming at that number myself but im gonna sort out my suspension parts first. Waiting for the holidays for sales to order parts. Keep up the good work
400hp=320whp!
Can you post the link for the parts that you are using and the etuning?
Cool. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers you put down with the protune since I have pretty much the same mods currently running an etune. How has the Ambot tune been running for u so far?
The Ambot etune has actually been amazing! Ran it all summer, had maybe one or two DAM drops over 6 months, and those were just from gas quality fluctuations. Since then, I've been adding a small bottle of STP octane booster for more stability, and haven't had a single issue since. 10/10 would recommend him again.
@@WRXGarage that's awesome.I was debating between him and Eric at torqued performance and went with Eric and no regrets here.Going through a retune right now with the gs ebcs and so far so good. Thanks for the reply and keep up the awesome Wrx content
From what I remember, the EGR unplug completely shuts the EGR valve so nothing gets to the piping, but either or definitely helps
The charge pipe adds more consistency in airflow, and throttle response, maybe a tiny tiny bit of power but nothing measurable. If you do, I have the Perrin and it fits really well.
Is Bren going to install the parts or are you installing and he’s going to give you a base map?
My understanding is that even if there valve is shut, it's still possible for heat soak to make it to the intake manifold, and possibly some leaked air! Maybe not a ton of difference..
I'm installing the parts myself, getting a base map to get the car to the shop safely.
Love your videos! Can you pass vehicle inspection in Massachusetts with the deletes?
When you don't know much about cars but try to explain anyways
You should of did the IBR full delete
That's definitely a possibility for the final form, when I add flex fuel and/or an intercooler.
@@WRXGarage I went with a process west intercooler
I was told without an Intercooler your looking at under 300 to the wheel.
That's not necessarily true. Intercooler usually adds around 20-30hp only. The biggest jump in power is adding flex fuel and doing the fuel pumps.
@@WRXGarage correct I use my car as a daily and didn't wanna add to much stress to the motor, that's why I opted out flex. But keep up with the channel bro, I appreciate the content
hi mate i all ready install tgv and egr so i try to reset codes on my accesport but its not work please help me
Tgv and egr NEED a tune!
How much will cost to do this full build. I'm interested and would like to start saving for it.Currently have a 2018 wrx with cobb big sf intake with AP. I think you are Correct on your number, I took my to a dyno and it was doing 257 at the wheels with just the AP 93 tune and no intake.
Total, with the jpipe and AP, you're looking at about $1500 in parts. A protune will cost 500-700ish.
Quick question, i am planning to remove the egr from my car so once removed will i get error codes or can it just be removed without having to do anything to the ECU? Or do i have to change something with the accessport or get a tune? Thanks for any help you can give me.
EGR delete or unplug both need a tune! You'll get CEL if you don't.
@@WRXGarage good to know, I'm new to the subie gang. I buit a Honda but now trying to learn about the wrx.....thanks for getting back to me!
how reliable is it
Is there an ots tune for the grimmspeed intake?
Not specifically, no.
I like the basic description of parts, but man you placing them all over the hood of your car probably scratching your paint drives me a little crazy.
I have ppf 😅
This intro made me very uncomfortable
PLEASE... why the hell do people UNBOX shit????
