Brother Nick, after having "surfed through" MANY instructional-videos on how to do this, your presentation here is by FAR the very best! I never would have thought of this way for sure, but it is methodical and to-the-point. It occurred to me after watching your procedure for the 2nd time, that if a person wants to stick with basically just one fly-reel, but would like the option of having different weight lines (both weight-forward & double-taper), he/she just "pre-loads" the backing line, fly line, and leader "backwards" onto a suitable empty reel, and BINGO - all set! I like your method here because it proves to be almost absolutely fool-proof as well, plus could be used for bait-casters, spinning-reels, et al. So glad I finally found your most excellent instructional-video, and thanks so much for taking time out of your day to share it with all of us!

Should your fly line on the spool come off the bottom when your spooling it on the reel from Bottom to bottom for no line memory ?
the line should come out of the bottom of the reel when attached to the rod correctly for your handedness.
