Just found this channel last night. I'm absolutely amazed! I've combed beaches forever, all over the U.S and never found anything but shells! I'm addicted now after seeing the chain mall, here in the united states' I don't think we even have dirt that old- fascinating!😀
I suppose it depends on where you look or what you find interesting. I've lived all over Canada and several parts throughout the United States and have gone digging around rivers and shorelines and have found some pretty interesting things. Coins from prior to the creation of the United States, pottery with decorative motifs that likely date to pre-European settlement, Red Jasper and Turquoise that too probably dates prior to European settlement of North America. I was also with a friend in New Mexico about a decade ago and he found Spanish sword tip that likely belonged to conquistadors from expeditions to the area by Chamuscado or Rodríguez from 1581-1582.
First, thanks so much for all the lovely footage of water babies, Adorable. What wonderful finds, I love the long pipe but the Bartman face is my favorite, Thanks Nicola.
I am so pleased for you for your pipe find- I found myself holding my breath as you pulled it out- whispering don’t break, don’t break. So happy for you
What a morning of finds.... I do have favorites. The Pears' Soap token has an excellent story but the 1862 Exhibition pipe seduces me with the notion of World Expedition souvenirs! The River Thames was generous... but also, to a most gracious guest❤! 😊Dudley
I so enjoy watching you mudlarking. I live in Western Colorado, we are currently enduring forest fires. Every night I go to bed smelling campfire in the middle of the suburban sprawl. Please wish for us to have some soaking rain we are in the midst of drought. Thank you so much for showing us the foreshore.
I think that pulling a long pipe like that out of the mud must be a glorious experience. :-) Love the history behind the Pears Soap coin, thanks for researching it. Love the collabs, so glad you are able to get out to enjoy them.
I really absolutely loved the way you put in the after pic of the coins while the video played with the coins being found. Like a before and after cleaned up but together in the frame when you find it. I know it takes a lot to edit but I believe that would make your videos stand out from the rest. Hi Nic’, how joyful would it be to find a whole Bartmann jug? Has anyone ever found one on the Thames foreshore? I would love to have one! I also loved watching the pipe extraction, it went on forever. Also, you made me salivate with those gorgeous pies you made on Simons video? I have to make some now! Good job. Great video! Thank you.😀
Hi Lynne! well I would love to find a whole one. Someone I know has found one that was almost intact! And actually I have found a mini one, but with no face. As for the pies. My mum's recipe. They were delicious. Just some shortcrust pastry with a tin of steak. wonderful!! xx

For your long pipes, you could try taking a styrofoam pool noodle and cutting it to fit a little longer than a complete pipe. Then slitting One side of the new noodle piece lengthwise to form a tube that would wrap around and protect a pipe while it is still in your bag. ???
Very good video full of interesting information. The extra long Tobacco pipe was such a great find! Very suspenseful really! Love all the old coins as well! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us! Best of luck on the next from us!!

So fun to learn about the Pears soap token. Before I was married, my bathroom in my parents house was decorated in pears soap ads. I miss that bathroom.
Thrilled to be so early to view this video! Excellent finds! I cherish your beautiful shadow box art piece I was fortunate enough to receive almost a year ago. ATB.
I gasped as you pulled that pipe. I gasped again when you showed us that second (your only other) counter stamped coin. 😂 Always such a pleasure watching your adventures. ❤️
Awesome video Nic! Can’t wait to see the collaborative videos too!! Love and peace and continued good health to You and to the Lucky duckling who found you!! 🤍🕊🤍
Love your Bartmann jug and long pipe!! Sure happy to see you and your wonderful video! Missed you! Nicola, may I ask, if there was something you would like from the USA, what would it be? I asked Simon the same question and he replied that someone from the USA gave him American Indian Arrowheads. I sent him some to add to his collection. So, give it some thought and please let me know. You and Simon bless me each week with your wonderful work, I wanted to send a blessing to you! Let me know!😊🥰
Hello from a chilly New Zealand. Sweet finds Nicola. Didn't realize the pipes were so long! I've only found a handful in 40 + years over here. The glass fish you are creating, are truly amazing ! Well done you!!! Thanks for the adventure. From the land of the Kiwis.
That pipe with the long stem was awesome! Ours are all broken up here, because of a superstition about tuberculosis. Wouldn't you like to go back to the 1600s and bring back Bartmann jugs and Onion bottles? We probably wouldn't be able to talk to people back then! They spoke middle English like in the bible. I just got in a lot of late 19th century buttons from a certain veteran's organization. There is a stud-type button with the organization's seal and motto, for the lapel, and these were made from captured bronze cannon. I am doing my bit to reduce disposable plastic rubbish. I quit using Bic razors and bought a 1956 model Gillette Sadety razor. They have date codes, anyway, it shaves great! Gotta a pre-WW2 one coming now! Bought a 1973 one from the year I was born, too, but disappointed in it, they started cheapening them then. Great video, enjoy your week! 🙂
My son and I love watching your adventures. He would love to go mudlarking! How do you advise starting out? I think you need a license don’t you? He loves it when you find a pipe! It’s the anticipation of how long the stem will be! So he absolutely loved this one Thank you 🙏🏻
Haven't commented in a while, but I always enjoy your posts, Nicola. How astounding that such a fragile, long pipe lasted, intact, in the foreshore mud, for centuries. So glad you liberated him from his precarious location. I had goosebumps, as you kept pulling and the pipe just kept going. FAB ! Also, your old, bearded man bottle neck. Thanks for letting us search the Thames shoreline with you. Fascinating.
Thanks Nicola, I always feel it very relaxing hearing the lapping of the Thames and the wildlife and of course your wonderful finds. A wonderful hobby ❤️ I actually use pears soap😃 from Perth UK 🇬🇧
I can't believe the ama,ing story of the Pears soap! I love that you found a full Bartmen face! There are many mudlarks, who covet them! That blows my mind! You are truly the queen of pipes! Oh Hail Nichola White the queen of pipes! The tiny pipe the Northerns found a really teny tiny pipe, I assume you probably filmed this video before the teny weny pipe!

@pisswobble, something you use in a swimming pool to float, that's made from Styrofoam in the shape of a huge noodle, with a hollow middle.
Very good video full of interesting information. The extra long Tobacco pipe was such a great find! Very suspenseful really! Love all the old coins as well! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us! Best of luck on the next from us!!
Thank you very much! ❤️
❤ Thank you Nicola, love treasure hunting and watching you mudlark is so appealing to my Treasure Hunting spirit, someday I would love to mudlark the Thames, your great!!! Thank you for creating this content
Fantastic video as always! That pipe!! Wow! Amazing find!! Also along with pears soap and a queen Victoria coin.
You made me laugh when you said ‘If I break this pipe I will never make a video again!’
Look forward to seeing next week’s finds x
So fun to learn about the Pears soap token. Before I was married, my bathroom in my parents house was decorated in pears soap ads. I miss that bathroom.
What phenomenal finds! I actually gasped when you found the Bartman face.
Thrilled to be so early to view this video! Excellent finds! I cherish your beautiful shadow box art piece I was fortunate enough to receive almost a year ago. ATB.
Thanks so much Erin xx
I loved history in school. I love your stories and the way you tell them.
You always have a good eye for a picture 😉👌
Let me know!😊🥰
That pipe was epic and I love the Bartman pieces. I love the history behind it all! Thanks for taking me along. Love from Tennessee USA
Thanks Dustin. you enjoy your week too and yes, I've often wondered what it would be like to speak to people back in the 1600s!! xx
My son and I love watching your adventures. He would love to go mudlarking! How do you advise starting out? I think you need a license don’t you?
He loves it when you find a pipe! It’s the anticipation of how long the stem will be! So he absolutely loved this one
Thank you 🙏🏻
Always look forward to Sunday afternoon when I can sit down and watch you and Simon. Wonderful finds.
Thank you ❤️😘
Nicola, princess of the Thames!👍
Thanks Nicola, I always feel it very relaxing hearing the lapping of the Thames and the wildlife and of course your wonderful finds. A wonderful hobby ❤️ I actually use pears soap😃 from Perth UK 🇬🇧
A rainy evening here in Galway Ireland, but enjoying going through the Thames finds with you. Thanks for the videos.
