    See "Heather" on your forearm my dude... prior service US Army here, nothing real impressive, CBRN (or NBC for my old ass) Specialist, served about 12 years, been out for a good while. Just saw the runes and thought I would show some love. Been a practicing Heathen for about 2 decades now. Made me a much better person... gave me a code to live by... things that most men learn but growing up without a father to show the way, it's insanely easy to miss those things.
    Hope things are going well man. Good video with some good insight. People don't realize how much shit is in the air when things kick off. People that haven't been there wouldn't think of that. Good stuff taking the time to share your experience brother. Best of luck, keep up the good work man

      I saw “heather” as was like….what?! lol damn phones and their auto correct lol
      It’s paying homage to my ancestors, I can trace my blood back to Sweden and Denmark then Scotland and Ireland and finally to America and with the Cherokee Indians… I don’t have it for any religious reason, more foe what it meant to the people that were not “north men” or Vikings. When they said the “heathens” were coming, just the words struck fear in the hearts of men because of the reputation of the men from other lands…be it Denmark or Sweden or even the Germanic tribes.
      When the “heathens” arrived they didn’t come to talk or fuck around it was to do work. That’s what it means to me.
      As far as the rest of my Nordic stuff it’s because we don’t know what god is up there..and if that god celebrates dying in battle and sending the valkyries to bring the dead to Valhalla…then I’m all about it.
      However I do have St Michael and the Templar Knight shield as well. The patron saint of everything to do with battle and the most feared knights ever. The one angel that was strong enough to fight satan and the one knight that refused to retreat and would gladly give his life for the cause.
      I work at a Christian corporation and I found that while I’m not super religious I am definitely a “Christian” when it comes to morals and values ie…just being a good human. And besides…all the Vikings switched over to christianity as well. lol long answer I know but cheers buddy 🍻 merry Christmas and have a happy new year

    Only been under fire outdoors but know how much the dust and smoke, especially when you add incoming, can effect sight even then(lights not being involved in my experience). Easy enough to know that the issue is exponentially increased inside. For those with no experience for context of weapon lights, think of it like headlights in think fog.

      That’s why you need the candela, the hotter brighter beam can cut through the dust while the lumens cannot because it’s not as concentrated

      @@Asymmetrical.athlete_ and that is some knowledge I now have from your video. When I served we had surefires still with the old zenon gas filled bulbs issued, the LED bulbs were just getting on th civilian market. I appreciate the knowledge, been in the 1st Civ Div for quite some time now so I'm not to worried about shooting it out inside but I am way out in the sticks with a lot of bear, cougar, and wolves around and I gets foggy at night this time of year a lot.

    i dont have any experience with combat but i do have experience with basic physics and i know the more particulates that are in the air, the brighter the light beam is the harder it is to see because it reflects off the dust and particles. anyone who has ever driven in fog knows this when they turn on their high beams and instantly cant see past the hood of their car. in the video you posted, the soldiers in the rear who are not firing are lighting up the rooms by pointing their lights at the ceiling for the ones already inside engaging the terrorists. if i was going to CQB inside buildings i would speculate a much better solution would be a high powered light attached to your body or helmet pointed upwards. that would allow the refracted and diffuse light to illuminate the room from above the dust and not reflect so harshly back at you like a direct beam through the clouds of dust. i still agree that a powerful weapon light is an asset, just maybe not for the particular situation you are talking about. but what do i know, im just an armchair commando who stumbled into this video through recommendations

      That’s why you need the candela… just like you need a better led light bar when you’re in fog

    • @Asymmetrical.athlete_
      @Asymmetrical.athlete_  11 місяців тому

      To give a better answer, in the fog or dust if you have a light beam that is wide it will be weaker and you won’t be able to see very far…ie your headlights. Then you put on a rigid light bar designed to cut the fog and that concentrated beam that isn’t very wide but is very hot will let you see farther through the fog. Same with a light on your gun…and weak wide beam won’t do anything but a small concentrated light with a very hot beam will cut through the dust. That’s why the guys that do a lot of off roading have dedicated lights for dust.
      Now as far as a light on your helmet…that’s definitely not the way to go for a firefight lol that’s more for after the fact and you’re searching for stuff. Definitely don’t want a giant light coming off your head for everyone to see lol I hope that makes sense…your car lights are more like the older flashlights and the, very expensive, light bar that’s made for the fog will allow you to see.

    • @user-im6fy4qp6m
      @user-im6fy4qp6m 11 місяців тому

      interesting, thanks. i thought about it more and i think a very focused concentrated beam actually makes sense to cut through particulates in the air. if you imagine your flashlight acting like a laser, a very dense field of light, even if half of the photons are blocked by thick dust, half should get through. but when you have a non concentrated floodlight, you are already starting with a low amount of photons so if half get blocked by dust, nothing useful gets through. its like if you had a coffee filter, and sprayed it with a spray bottle. if you turn the spray bottle on mist setting, you get a large surface area of water but that will all be blocked by the filter. but if you turn it to stream, its the same amount of water per pump but you will get water through the filter because of the concentration. what are some good lights your recommend? you are kind of making me want to switch my home defense pistol light to a laser now@@Asymmetrical.athlete_

    I was issued a Glock with Safariland TLR7 holster, so, that's what I use.
    I'm not getting in gun battles with Shiite militias in 3,000 year old buildings, I'm looking into closets in crackhouses in Ohio, so yes, it is good enough for me.
    So is the Streamlight handheld. Get this, I don't even get a rifle, instead, I get a 5+1 870 with no light on it at all.
    This would also be bad for getting in gunfights with Hamas.
    I get it, brighter, more intense, is better.
    What I don't understand is the comparison of middle eastern guerrilla battles to western domestic law enforcement.
    I'm just going to live my life dude, I got other things to worry about, like getting Fetty exposure and ODing, apparently, my accident insurance doesn't cover that.
    I don't have the remaining bandwidth to care about whatever is going on in the Zio-wars that the Ruling Clan of money gremlins sends our guys to die in, and then exploits our country financially, and in every other way imaginable.

      Yeah…I would definitely change that light out 😂😂 that’s not a duty light nor is it supposed to be. Even stream light says it’s not a duty light. Even in shithole Ohio I would rather blind someone with all the lumens than barely see someone with none of them. At some point you have to take control of your own life and not leave it in the hands of the pd 🤙 good luck out there my man
