Do you locate thermals by gliding around in a pattern and then watch carefully for the glider to lift? I am aware that the birds do reveal locations of thermals but I remain unclear about the basic method/technique outline. Thanks!
Same in PicaSim as real life - fly and watch for telltale signs - a slight lift of the left wing tip indicates lift to the gliders left side etc. As well as hint of up/down etc IRL you can also feel the wind change strength and direction - the shift in direction indicates where a likely thermal is. Also, thermals in PicaSim are persistent too - so if you find one but don't get away, it will still be there on relaunch...
