One of the more underappreciated players from that era. Now he's known primarily as just a 3-point shooter, but was dangerous driving to the hoop and due to his length, was unstoppable in the post against other SF's. He had some nagging injuries in the late 90's and was never the same from the time he showed up in LA and on. Plus the Lakers reportedly only wanted him to be a spot up shooter and nothing else, so he did enjoy his time there, despite winning a championship.
i'm NOT certain why but in 96 the 41-41 hornets missed the playoffs when led by glen rice and the heat lost in round 1 to the bulls led by legend michael jordan and pat riley decreased the eliteness of alonzo mourning
Glenn was no role player, he was the primary offensive option for the most part of his career. Later on with the Lakers and Knicks, Clippers he was a role player.
A Flint, Michigan Flamer 🏀🔥🔥🔥!! Glen Was A Silky Smooth, Pretty Jumper, Bucket Getter 👊🏿. Yo! Young Fella, The Name Is Pronounced Rony "SIGH-KUH-LEE" Seikaly. He And Sherman Douglas Were Nothing Nice At Syracuse👌🏿.
Zoomers run these basketball channels and talk about old players like they watch them play or something same thing with the zoomers in the comments true he was no role player until he jumped on the Laker ban wagon and then he was completely a role player then on
Truth be told, as much as I liked Glen Rice as an awesome spot up shooter, but to critique him, he wasn't really much of a good dribbler, and creator off the dribble

He was the go to guy on the Heat and Hornets
May be the most underrated player of all time
in 94 the heat led by glen rice lost in round 1 to the hawks while the 41-41 hornets missed the playoffs with 22 games missed by star alonzo mourning

Hall of fame in my eyes he was the premier player in Miami and Charlotte and one of the best scorer in the 90's
I agree with that statement!
I was born in 1990 for perspective, but Rice was my first favorite NBA player. Good content, got my sub
My fav player from 90s. I pick 41 on create player on NBA Live back then because of him.
He was one of my favorite players growing up him and Jamal mashburn
Mashburn and Stackhouse!
he was the all star mvp in 97
Clean footage. Rice is that dude!
"Role player" lol. Glen Rice was literally the first option in every team he was in until he went to the Lakers to play 3rd fiddle to Shaq and Kobe.

He was very much a role player on the Laker ban wagon he jumped on
@@alexandercoffman8319and he was definitely a role player on the Knicks
(Sike-lee) is how you pronounce his lady name. Like the channel!!!
role player? lol
The way I look at is he was a calm a star in Miami and Charlotte but he was a role player on the Lakers
Def not a role player
Exactly
@@joeygula581 he was a allstar caliber in lakers uniforms but accept to be more a role player for win a championship
@@joeygula581 The trade to the Lakers ruined his career. He was at the peak of his career in Charlotte, then they traded him for Eddie Jones
the 97 hornets for what it's worth went 54-28 but most importantly lost in round 1
This is informative but funny that you copied it from Wikipedia Word for Word Hahaha! xD

why exactly did the 97 hornets get swept
i somewhat like rice
Rice was certainly no role player until he jumped on the Laker ban wagon
Truth be told, as much as I liked Glen Rice as an awesome spot up shooter, but to critique him, he wasn't really much of a good dribbler, and creator off the dribble
the 98 hornets went round 2 just like their 93 team
Far from a role player
the 98 hornets lost 96-64 to the hawks in game 3 of round 1
