Your technique to blend (activate) the Dervent Inktense colors with the alcohol blender rather than with water is genius! I spend a lot of time wiping my paint brush (or water brush) between colors so I don’t drag one color into the other. I wonder why more people aren’t using this technique- it really seems to make sense. It also means that you’re not adding water to the paper so for those that don’t like the look and feel of buckled paper, this is a great option.

Oh, this page turned out so beautiful! Love the colors! So vibrant and rich! Totally did justice to Kerby’s wonderful drawing! Am curious if the Lightfast pencils would blend with the Inktense ones as well as the Chromaflow or if a softer pencil like the Chromaflow is the better choice for adding depths and shading?

Been wanting to see how the inktense was used with alcohol blender and what else it really took to and the time to achieve pages like what you have here. Thank you.
Other types of videos I like are real time colour along. I’m still bad with colour selection and a little impatient with shading but good at mimicking. Such videos help to pace oneself, practice to become better and pick up new skills as well. Maybe you can post some at normal speed split in 2 or 3 parts if it gets too long.
Can you perhaps explore how to colour faster (with pencils and paint not alcohol markers) to complete a page with good to great results for impatient people? Something like that would be great help to many to finish uncoloured pages and books faster too.
