Desperados literally breaks precombines/previs which drastically worsens performance. No clue whatsoever why the video author considered it superior in performance over Badlands when it is literally the worst in the entire list. It is a good mod, just takes a terrible toll.
I've been thinking about picking up FO4 again, haven't played it since putting in a few hundred hours over the few months after release. Really well-produced video, thanks!

I wish Mods could get "Vanilla Verified" to be both Lore friendly and do not block players from earning achievements. Things like textures, clothing, locations and most settlement/ player homes
I combined A Forest with Borealis. Borealis has to go below so the landscape and grass takes priority, but the result is something akin to Resurrection. A Forest even modifies the bridges and cement that Borealis doesn't.
Thanks for letting me know. I am picking the game up again and I was on the fense after watching LK's 300/500 mods series and not knowing if "Borealis" would be better than "The forest". Now I just need to know where to put "natural landscapes" in there. Have you had any more issues?
@@BGShepard So far so good. Getting my steady 50-60s. Though It is a new save so I take it I am still not draggin it down. We'll see how it goes in a few weeks after a few SS2 and a bunch of settlements been filled up with stuff.
@@BGShepard Thanks for the response. I couldn't get it to work given how Borealis stated to load everything before it, and have Borealist as the one to override them (Or at least that's what I understood from it). Don't know how but after disabling one by one and erasing the rules, and only re downloading and reinstalling it at the end, fixed purple trees and building textured leaves. Don't know how, don't know why. Just let Vortex take care of it and that worked. So so far, so good!
Long ago the Highway Dept, where I live, built a new bridge and a new stretch of road to replace a very old and narrow and dangerous bridge. They tore down the old bridge but they simply abandoned the old stretch of road and after just 20 years that old stretch of road (which was visible from the new road) had all but completely vanished. Imagine after 200 years ! There would simply be no trace that roads ever existed.
For winter I use Winter AIO combined with Winter pines and Polluted climate-winter, also the no snow under roof patch for it. And finally I use fallout 2287.
I combined the vivid fallout with the falconouls retexture project. Vivd gallouts item and building textures deviate too much from vanilla, but falconoils are closer while still being amazing
how well would you say Dry Wasteland works on lower end hardware (not sure how low it is but my GPU is an RX570 4gb and CPU is Ryzen 5 3400g with Vega 11 Integrated Graphics and 8gb of RAM)? I ask because I am trying to get a more updated Fallout 3 look without the use of ENBs and have fallen in love with Polluted Climates as a replacement for the green tint for the depressing and solemn look it gives
I'm a big believer in natura landscapes, the textures are gorgeous and performance wise it's really solid since you don't need to have a bunch of tree mods to tie everything together, also shoutout to Vulkan for making things even more dead
Exactly but I think most mods go way overboard and make the wasteland look to lively. If there was a mod that makes FO4 look like Chernobyl that would be amazing.
Yes true, but also u see in Tschernobyl that the most trees and green stuff are very small, as soonest the roots hit a specific depths, if a mod would include that, that would be awesome
He’s said that “this is for someone that could give a less of a fuck about lore friendly” 😁that would be me 😂I wanted an over grown wasteland that felt like the last of us 2. I was going to make my own back story that was going to take place way after 200 years but it already does it for me XD thank you 🙏
@@Mutant_Mods Nooooo :( So, if I were to want to use the landscape textures of natural landscapes alongside the trees and foliage of borealis it just wouldn’t work? That is very unfortunate.
@@Mutant_Mods That is true, however if you want a realistic timeline for what the wasteland would look like following the blasts it would go something like: A mod that adds a very ash covered and almost burned look, Then the winter overhauls, then the desert, then the vanilla, then the foliage.
