The rack attaches to the rain guard rails in 3 places. No drilling is required. Great rack system. Good company with responsive support. I appreciate you watching.
Anything to keep the mounts from scratching a color matched hard top? I'm in need of a rack but I'm weary of the damage those mounts can cause. Thanks!
I have given this some thought since you asked. I don’t have a good answer for you unfortunately. My best suggestion would be to reach out to front runner to see if they perhaps tested the attachment on a painted roof. Thank you for watching. Good luck with your decision!
Not sure about weight. My guess would be 150lbs when I have the water container full. Rain guards seem to be doing great. No issues at all. Happy with the rack setup.
Great question 📡 My XM radio antenna is located dead center of where we mounted the roof rack. Service become in and out even with open skies. So bad I couldn’t even attempt to listen. Spoke with dealer. They said yeah that’s the issue but offered no solution. Took the truck to a local automotive accessory shop. They ordered a antenna rerouting kit and now the antenna is mounted just below the windshield on the outside of truck. Can’t even see it. XM works great again. Cost was about $220 for parts and labor.
I have the longer extension pole on my Weboost. It sits above my roofline. The instructions suggested that I do that. Now that you’ve added the rack. Have you experienced any issues? I may shorten mine if it hasn’t. 😂
I had trouble finding out the exact weight capacity. Believe I saw somewhere the is around 350lbs. Rear window covers are from amazon. Thank you for watching!
@@DavidWaldrip great, be careful. Other brands with similar mounts max out the weight at 150 lbs. I've been looking hard at the Maximus 3 rack that gets you over 850 static pounds and 350 dynamic but the mounts are drilled through the hard top. I have no issue with that but would like to know if the platform can be slid back when mounted so I don't lose my sunrider top feature.
David that Jeep Rack came out Nice Bro.
Thank you! I am super excited with how it turned out.
Nice rack choice! It seems like it does not require any drilling? Did you drill the roof cover? How did the rack attach it in the top? Thanks man!

He’s back :)
I am indeed!
How much wieght are you carrying? Any problems with damage to your rain gutters?

Have any satellite radio or service issues with this rack? Heard full length ones require a antennae relocation for services to work again.
Great question 📡

@@DavidWaldrip Thanks for the response. I’ll start looking into the relocation as well.
@@midwestiowashooter You are welcome. I appreciate you watching. The reroute is possible so don’t lose hope.

I haven't noticed any issues. It would probably be better if it was mounted at the highest point possible.
Great set up. How much weight can you throw up there? Killer covers for the rear windows. What are those?

Can you give no on parts you added on this video. Can you list the things and where you purchased them?
I don't have all the part numbers but every item is easy to find on the front runner website. Thank you for watching!
